Sweet Sentiment ~ Stay Wild!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card featuring the adorable stamps from Sweet Sentiment!

I just had to use the kitty image from the new "Gone Fishin'" stamp set. There is also a coordinating die set for this fun stamp set, "Gone Fishin' Sweet Slices Dies".

I stamped my image in Memento Tuxedo Black image and then colored it up using Copic Markers.  I knew I had to make my kitty look just like one of my own cats!  I also used the "Stay Wild!" sentiment from the "Beep Beep Jeep" stamp set released last month.

I used the adorable "Chloe" patterned papers from Bella Blvd and a tag die from Catherine Pooler to create my card.

Rainbow Bon Jour!

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I'm sharing a fun project featuring Stamp Anniething!

To begin today's card, I first created a pool of water on my watercolor paper and then dropped in each of my 6 inks from my Karin Markers to create the rainbow splotch.  I also added my gold splatters over top of the splotch.

Then I stamped out my "Kelly - Merci Beaucoup" image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with Copic Markers.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  I hope you go and get crafty!

Best Dad Circuitry Light Up Card

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I'm over on the Chibitronics blog sharing my latest light up card creation featuring some amazing Chibitronics products!

Here is the front of my card.  This card panel features the Sizzix "Circuit" Embossing Folder, the "Best Word Die" by Catherine Pooler in "samba"ink and the "Little Letters Dies" by My Favorite Things and lots of fun Ranger Distress Oxide inks.

Once my card front was designed I can create the circuit underneath.

First I map everything out my card base.  I inked and embossed the embossing folder again.  This allows me to more easily position my LED Light Stickers.

I mapped out the location of my battery housing, the placement of all my light stickers and then I connected everything to complete the circuits.

Next I added all of my Copper Tape lines first. Typically I start with my negative line of tape so I can run it underneath my batteries.  Next I made my battery housing to trap my batteries in and build my little flap (clear acetate) over the positive side of the batteries.  I added all of my light stickers (Blue, Red, Green & Orange stickers) to my circuit and using some Fabric Tape Patched to ensure all the breaks in my Copper Tape were secure and complete.

And now here is my lit up card...

I just the way it turned out.  I know my husband, an electrician, will love it!

Have a great rest of the week!

Summer Splash Has Begun!

The Summer Splash event has begun over at StampNation!  We're making cards and havin' some sunny fun!  I unfortunately have come down with Covid after being able to stay clear of it for over 2 years and my 16 year old son has it too.  So my crafty energy levels are next to nil.

Each Monday, a new list of 3 challenges comes up to get your creative juices flowing.

My card for this week features the stunning "Filigree Background" stamp by CP and the super cute "Happy Mail" by My Favorite things and lots of beautiful CP inks.

I first inked up my watercolor paper with some Drive-in and Pucker Up inks and smooshed it around with some water.  Then I stamped the "Filigree Background" stamp with Versamark ink and set it with Clear Embossing Powder.   Then I went back with my 2 inks and darkened around all the filigree marks to show off the pattern.

I colored up my little bike riding bunny with Copic Markers and added on a simple sentiment.

Come on over and check out all your options to become a StampNation member!  There are 3 memberships you can choose from...

Chibitronics ~ Light Up Gnomies with Fading Lights!

Howdy and happy Friday!  We are just beginning our Victoria Day weekend holiday here in Canada and as always, the weather is yucky!  That's typical for Alberta for weather on May 2-4 weekend.  Good thing we're not out camping!

Today I'm sharing a fun light up interactive card featuring the Fade Effects Circuit Sticker!

Here's what it looks like...

My card includes the adorable Twistoon digital stamps "Candle Gnome" and "Milly Lantern Gnome".  Aren't they adorable?  The entire image was colored in using Copic Markers.  I also used the My Favorite Things "Interactive Labels" stamp set to add the "Press Here" in white embossing to the front of the card.

Here is the card all lit up...

Let's go and find out the insides and the circuit are created.

First I created the panel for the front of my card.  This allows me to place my light stickers under the proper spots in the panel.

Then I used my stencil from the "Circuit Stickers Effects Add-On +Stencil" package and I traced all the places where my little triangular light stickers would go.

I also traced the large triangular shape to indicate where my Effect Sticker would go.  In this case, I used the FADE sticker.

Then I mapped where my batteries would be placed and completed the circuit by mapping out the location of all my Copper Tape lines would go: positive and negative sides of the circuit.

Here's a closer look at the circuit...

Next I laid now the negative side of the Copper Tape for my circuit.  I did this first so the Copper Tape can run underneath the battery housing and to ensure the batteries had contact with this side of the circuit.

Then I created the battery housing.  I used 3D foam adhesive and built a tight little box around the two CR2032 batteries so they didn't move around at all.

I used a piece of clear acetate to create the flap over top of my 2 batteries.  I wrapped the Copper Tape underneath and around this flap so the Copper Tape touched the top of the batteries and then ran it down the edge of the foam tape carefully and then completed the rest of the circuit.

The last thing to do was add the Fade Effects Sticker and the fun Yellow LED Light Stickers.

And this completed the circuit inside my card!  SO EASY and quick!

Check out the card in its full glory... HERE on YouTube.

I hope you have a creative day!

Sweet Sincerity Slimline

Today I'm sharing another fun Sweet Sentiment creation with you!

I just love all of the floral stamps from Sweet Sentiment and the "Sweet Sincerity" blooms are uber cool!

I stamped a whole bunch of the 3-petaled blooms and leaves out with from the "Sweet Sincerity" using Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink.  Then I used Copic Markers to color in all the blooms and foliage.

Copics: Blooms: V09, V06, V04  Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG63, G46

Then I stamped the slimline card base using the Catherine Pooler "Love Notes Background" stamp to add the beautiful scripty print.

Then I cut the scalloped frame using the Studio Katia "Dotted Slimline - Set 2 Die" and added some circle die cut holes using the CP "Circles Dies".

Then I added the frame to the card base using some 3D foam adhesive and then added all the beautiful blossoms...

I stamped my greeting from the Sweet Sentiment "With Great Love" in black ink as one final touch.

I just love end result of this card!

This card layout is based off of my latest sketch for Splitcoaststampers this week, SC906...

Sweet Sentiment - May Release is Here!!

Howdy and Happy Saturday!  Today is Sweet Sentiment's May release and it's jam packed full of stamp and stencil fun!

The first stamp set I have used today is called "Gone Fishin'" and it's got all the fun fishin' images a girl (or guy) could ever want!  This stamp set features the company owners, Sandy and Jammie, out in the wildness in all kind of fish related fun!

I began this card using the amazing Sweet Sentiment Premium Coloring Paper, the brand new "Helm Mandala Stencil" and Copic Airbrush system.

I created this fun blue stencilled background and then popped on my little fisher-gal with some fun foam tape!  I used Copic Markers to color her in and some Polychromos Pencils to add in some of the finer details again.  I used Memento "Desert Sand" ink to stamp her for a no-line effect.  The frame is from Catherine Pooler Designs.

Next comes the stunning new blooms stamp set called "Sweet Sincerity".

This magnificent stamp set features some beautiful trio-petaled flowers and accompanying leaves and buds and a glorious large scale sentiment.

To start, I first masked off my cardstock panel of Sweet Sentiment Premium Coloring Paper, then I airbrushed on some yellow Copic and then a splattering of dark fuchsia Copic ink.

I stamped all the floral and greenery images in Moment "Desert Sand" ink for a no-line look as well!  I colored them all in using bright pink Copic Markers and popped them up using foam and glue dots.

I inked up part of the sentiment with Versamark ink and then embossed it with Copper embossing powders.  And voila... a card was born!

Don't forget to check out this nifty gadget...

This is the Sweet Sentiments Exclusive Color Blend Stand.   It holds up to 5 Copic Sketch markers for ease of coloring!  It comes in a variety of fun colors for you to choose from!

I hope you have a great rest of your weekend and I hope you're able to get crafty!

Be the Light in the Darkness

The Summer Nights collection over at Catherine Pooler is a collection your gunna love!  There's a little something in if for everyone!

Today I'm working some of the fun products from the Night in Flight Bundle and the Under the Stars Bundle. All of these products are also found a la carte in the CP Shop so you can pick and choose.

I choose to grab one of the cute bugs from the "Night in Flight" stamp set first.  I stamped it out in Dress Blues ink and then colored it up using my Copic Markers.

Then I grabbed the smallest circle die from the new "Round About Dies" and cut a hole in the cute polka dot paper from the "Under the Stars" patterned paper pack.  This round hole size is perfect for the fabulous "Halo Lights" from Pear Blossom Press (also sold in the CP Shop!).

I created a Dress Blues inked edge for my polka dot paper and I used Orange Twist ink to stamp my greeting inside the circle from the "Night in Flight" stamp set.

I mounted the Halo Light under the circle on my card base and used foam tape to attach the front panel of my card.

And voila... a light up card for someone special...

Don't forget... if you're a StampNation member, if you shop anytime during the month of May you can get a FREE 3x4 stamp set...

Have a great Tuesday!
