Sweet November Stamps ~ Dolphin Hugs

It's Newsletter FREEBIE day for Sweet November Stamps subscribers!

Did you know that every month, Amy sends newsletter subscribers a code for a FREE new digital stamp design. Each month brings a brand new image to the shop and you just apply your code at the checkout process and that month's image is FREE to download.

With MerMay only days away, Amy has provided a new mermaid for your collection.  Meet "Dolphin Hugs".

I decided she and her dolphin needed some fun sea critters to surround them so I grabbed the dolphin image from "Mermazing Friends: Cari & Neo", the otter image from "Mermazing Friends: Masha & Bruno" and finally the Seal image from the "Mermazing Friends: Naia & Flash".

I made up a simple birthday sentiment and created a scene on my computer and printed everything out.  I then colored my scene using Copic Markers.

I hope you take a moment and sign up for the Sweet November Stamps newsletter to ensure that you get your freebie next month!

Happy weekend!

She was colored using Copic Markers on X-Press It cardstock.

Make sure you come and check out all the new digital stamp inspiration over on the Sweet November Stamps Facebook group or our Instagram account.

Chibitronics ~ Wizard's Wand

Happy Friday all!   Today I'm sharing my latest Chibitronics creation that I made this week.

This card features cool paper circuit products including the Rainbow Fade Animating LED Light Stickers.

I first created the front panel of my card. For the front panel I printed out the sweet little wizard, "Sophia the Wise", from Mo's Digital Pencil and also her birthday greeting.  I colored her image using Copic Markers.

Next I created the frame to wrap around the little wizard.  I covered a piece of black cardstock with a variety of the Aall & Create "Fungal Trip" ephemera.  I used a white gel pen to add some sparkles between all images.

I printed a copy of my wizard image on a piece of copy paper and adhered it to my circuit building panel.  This piece always helps me position all of my lights and circuit aspects more easily.

Next I located the positions of all of my lights.  I actually punched holes through my front panel and the mushroom elements and transposed their locations.  I used my Craft Stencil to trace the light sticker shapes onto my circuit building panel.  I chose to use red, green and blue LED Light Stickers to correspond with the color of the mushrooms on the card front.  I chose to use one Rainbow Fade Animating LED Light Sticker at the end of the wizard's wand!

I traced out a circle for the location of my 3V Battery and laid out my Reed Switch to ensure I made room on my circuit for it.

Next I laid out the plan to create my circuit; blue lines for the negative side of the circuit and red lines for the positive side!  I made sure to include the negative points of all the stickers on the negative side of the circuit and the positive on the positive side.

I also included the Reed Switch in between the battery and the positive sides of all the light stickers.

Next I laid down all the Conductive Fabric Tape for the negative side of the circuit, starting underneath the battery location.

Next I laid down the Conductive Fabric Tape for the positive side of the circuit.  I made sure to tape in my Reed Switch.  I just used the tape from the circuit to hold it in place.

Since I didn't need a battery style switch to complete my circuit this time, I just taped the 3V Batteries into place.  YES... I used two 3V batteries for this card.  They are just sitting on top of one another.

The last and final touch was to add in our LED Light Stickers.  I used the Rainbow Fade Animating Light Sticker for her wand and Blue, Green and Red LED Light Stickers for the fungi around her!

To allow the Reed Switch to close, you have to add a little magnet to the top of the switch to close the circuit.  I decided to create a mushroom wand (seen in the lower right corner of the photo above).  I attached a little thin magnet to the back of one of the mushroom ephemera along with a metal wire handle.  By taping the fungi wand to the word "MAGICAL" on the card front, the circuit closes and activates all the lights!

And here's what happens in action...

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my card share today!

See you again soon!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Rainy Day Fairwees

Happy Tuesday!  I'm here again sharing some of the newest release clear stamp card creations from the latest Sweet November Stamps clear stamp release, Enchanted Spring.

Today my card features the new "Rainy Day Fairwees".

I began my card by stamping the sweet little frog and one of the fairwees with a leaf umbrella.  I masked them both off and stamps the puddle beneath the fairwee, the little snail peeking out from her umbrella and all the fun grass and flowers from the "Background Builder: Wildflower Meadow".

Before I peeled off all the masks, I Copic Air Brushed the sky with a cloud stencil and added a little bit of color into the ground.  I also used my Air Brush system to add a light, transparent rainbow in the clouds!

I removed all the masks and colored everything in using Copic Markers.

I had a blast coloring in this little scene card with our adorable Fairwees card!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Thank You Little Fairy

Happy Saturday!  I'm here again sharing some of the newest release clear stamp card creations from the latest Sweet November Stamps clear stamp release, Enchanted Spring.

Today my card features the "Enchanted Spring Flowers" stamp set.  This stamp set features 3 beautiful clusters of mixed Spring blooms plus some sweet fairies, some butterflies, bees and a few ladybugs!  So many scene building possibilities for this stamp set!

I chose to feature the larger cluster of flowers, a delicate little fairy with a wand and a butterfly on my card.

I began by stamping my cluster in the lower right corner of my card front in a light brown ink.  I wanted the flowers to be closer to a no-line coloring effect this time.  I added the small fairy and the butterfly image too.

I used my Copic Markers to color everything in but I did use my Polychromos Pencils to add some of the finer details back into some of the images: like for the wink details on the butterfly and fairy.

I had a blast coloring in this flower card!

Hope you have a great weekend!

This card features the "SN Gal Maya". This sweet girl is cuddled up with her adorable babe.

I began this card by stamping Maya and masking her.  Then I stamped the window from the "Simple Room: Autumn Add-On" and the panelled flooring from the "Background Builder: Simple Room" stamp set.
To set the scene, I used the tiny tulips from the "Spring Garden Critters" stamp set to add outside the window in a window box type situation.
To decorate the wall paper, I used the cute butterflies from the "Background Builder: Wildflower Meadow" stamp set in a soft blue ink.
I designed this card and it's color scheme for a specific person.  She became a Grandma for the first time this past month and is enjoying swooning over her new grandson.
Next we are featuring the "Spring Garden Critters" clear stamp set.  This sweet stamp set features three adorable critters and lots of fun spring flowers.

I had fun building the simple scene for our sweet furry friends.  I used the sweet tulips and daffodils to set that scene.

Aren't there floral details super cute?!?!
Stay tuned for my Enchanted Spring release fun coming soon!
Have a great rest of your week!

This little Gnome is called "Gnaomi" (how cute!) and she's out walking her little ladybug out in her imaginary world.  A world with teal colored trees and spotted red and orange skies.

I paired this little cutie with the trees from "Tree Friend: Linden" and "Tree Friend: Sycamore", also digital images.

To create the fun sky, I masked off all of the tree images and our sweet Gnome and used my Copic Air Brush System and brushed on an umbre background of reddish pink and orange and then used a funky stencil from Aall & Create called "Lotza Dotz".

Sweet November Stamps ~ Fairy Hair PLUS a Sneak Peek

Happy Saturday!  We have all kinds of fun being sneaked today over at Sweet November Stamps. We have some brand new clear stamps coming next weekend and we're sharing all kinds of fun images for that release.

So this week's card features a clear stamp from last Spring in honor of our new Spring release on the horizon.

Today's card features the adorable "Fairy Hair" stamp from last Spring.

I began my card by creating the card base with Sweet Sentiment's "Hive Flower Stencil".  I used some Distress Oxide inks on this multi-step stencil; Scattered Straw, Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick.

Next I created the shaker aspect.  I die cut a round frame from the Prism Studio "Nested Stitched Circle Dies", backed it with acetate and added some Sweet November Stamps "Fairy Magic Sequins" inside before closing it.  It has some translucent fairy cut outs, some cupped daisies and cool round sequins.

Then I stamped one of the sweet little fairy from the "Fairy Hair" stamp set using Rich Cocoa Memento ink and colored her in with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut her out and added her to the shaker circle.

And finally, we have new Clear Stamp release coming next weekend. Meet the little bee from the "Bee-utiful You" stamp set...

Stay tuned for more SNS creations!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Scrap 'N Stamp ~ Bugs & Butterflies Blog Hop *PRIZE*

Welcome to the Scrap 'N Stamp Bugs & Butterflies Blog Hop!

Today's card features something a little different.  Instead of using a butterfly image or something of the like, I chose to make my own.  I used the cool Aall & Create ephemera "White Doodle Leaves" to create my own!

First I designed the tag base for my creation.  I used a Ranger Manila #8 tag.  I laid down a light layer of Catherine Pooler Rose Petals ink.

I pulled out the cool Aall & Create 6x6 Stencil #2 and and added a variety of cool parts of the stencil to the tag using the word art part.

Next I pulled out the Aall & Create Stencil #126, "Lotza Starz". I used some CP Minted ink to add a whisper of stars to the tag.

I used some of the new Hero Arts Collage Background Transfers from the "Antique Collage" package and added some scripty rub-on images on the tag plus a touch of stitching and some white and black paint splatters..

Last but not least, I created my butterfly using leaves from the "White Doodle Leaves".  I colored them in using Copic Markers and glued them together with a hand-cut body.  I mad the antenna with some very fine strips of paper.  I also adhered a few uncolored leaves on the tag too.

This is our hop rotation!  Enjoy!

Chibitronics ~ Hope This Brightens Your Day

Happy Thursday all!   Today I'm sharing my latest Chibitronics card I made this week.

This card features cool paper circuit products including the Red Fade Animating LED Light Stickers found in four configurations: see images listed below.

Now... a little run down as to how I made this circuit using photos.

I first created the 2 panels of my card creation. For the front panel I stamped the pretty floral wreath from the Catherine Pooler "Woodland Wreath".  I cut out the center of the wreath and eventually backed it with vellum.  Next I masked off the wreath and air brushed the background with a few shades of rich blue Copic Markers.   I removed the mask and colored the wreath.  I also stamped the wreath on my card base to eventually begin my circuit.

I stamped the little fox pair from the Catherine Pooler "Mommy & Me" stamp set and also colored them in using Copic Markers.  I fussy cut them out added them tucked in the wreath. I also stamped the foxes location on my card base.

To complete the front panel, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the "Scripted Thoughts" stamp set in gold embossing powder.

Then it was time to begin my circuit building!

I first located the 6 spots I wanted to use my lights.  I chose to use my White LED Light Stickers ("W") in the floral centers and my Red Fade Animating LED Light Sticker ("R") on the "heart" area of my foxes. I also traced in the location of my switch or Battery Holder.  I chose this spot since it's right where the word "brighten" is in my sentiment.  I always leave a little message on the inside of my card for the recipient as to how to turn on the lights.

Next I drew the lines of my circuit.  Starting with the negative side of the circuit, I drew my blue line from the inside bottom of the Battery Holder all the way up to the "pointy" ends of all the light stickers. I kept in mind that the center of my wreath will be see though and NOT to put any parts of my circuit through the center.

Then I drew the red lines of the circuit, the positive side of the circuit. In this case, the lines of both sides of the circuit are CROSSING.  I will be creating some bridges to solve this problem as I build the circuit.

I also peeled off the paper backer on my Battery Holder and applied to my card base.

Then I added all 6 of my LED Light Stickers; 5 White LED Light Stickers and one Red Fade Animating LED Light Sticker. Just peel and stick... it's that easy!

Next I added the Conductive Fabric Tape to my circuit.  I started by applying my Conductive Tape across all the blue lines and all of the LED Light Stickers.  I made sure to start my circuit on the inside of the Battery Holder to make sure the circuit has contact with the bottom of the battery.

You can cut your Conductive Fabric Tape easily to make another connection point on your circuits. You just have to make sure you overlap your tape.

The positive line of the circuit always starts inside the flap of the Battery Holder.  This end of the tape must contact the battery when the switch is activated/pressed.

Before I laid down my positive side of the circuit's tape, I created 3 paper bridges at the cross over points of the negative side of the circuit.  This will allow me to adhere the Conductive Fabric Tape down without short circuiting the whole circuit.

Once those paper bridges were down, I could add my positive side of Conductive Fabric Tape.

And finally to complete the circuit, I peeled the backer off the C-shaped foam and adhered it inside the Battery Holder.  This foam holds the 3V Battery in place so it doesn't move around.  Take off the backer paper on the top of the foam C and close the lid of the Battery Holder and test your circuit!

I added some 3D Foam Tape all around the edges of my card base to pop the card front on to.

And voila!  Here's what the card looks like all lit up!  Just press and hold the switch, in this case, press the word "brighten" and the card lights up and begins to fade in and out red under those cute little foxes!!!

I hope you like today's card creation.

Thanks for stopping by!
