A Sneak Peek of my Scrapping Bug Creations!

Here's a little sneak peek of a card I made using the Scrapping Bug May kit.

I used the flower die cuts from the kit and ran them through my Cuttlebug using the "Tiny Bubbles" embossing folder. I inked some using chalk ink and left some without.

I even made a matching envelope for the card. I used the Cuttlebug A2 Borders plate from "Just My Type" on the envelope.

Just preparing to send out my cards today so they get there in time for next week. How about you... Are you prepared?

Happy Spring!

I have been stuck in rut the last few days. The mojo just wasn't flowing so I went looking for inspiration in some of the blog I read regularly.

I came across Amy's fabulous Friday sketch for her blog, http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/ . So I created this fun card using one of Amy's very own stamp creations that I purchased at ScrapFest last week. I couldn't resist using some fun rain patterned paper from Bella Blvd for my back ground!

Happy Spring!

Skylines & Sentiments

Today is my day on the myStamp BOX blog and I wanted to showcase some fun skyline stamps and sentiments.

I created all four cards using only 2 of the amazing stamp sets from myStamp BOX: Neighborhoods and and one of the newest sets, Oval Office.

To check out the mSB blog, see here.

One of my newest and most FAVOURITE tools for card and scrapbook page making is the Copic airbrush system! I bought it at a store in Brantford before I left Ontario because I just couldn't resist the price! This is what it looks like:

The wonderful thing about the system is that EVERY single one of your Copic markers becomes an airbrush medium just by popping in your marker into the handle! I'm going to be spending a LOT of time using this tool. I've already bought some more air cans and the adaptor system for a personal compressor that my husband already has. I'll be back to do a tutorial on how to use this fun tool in the near future!

Now.... on with the show.....

Lavender Love

One of my favourite stamp making companies is Gina K. Designs. Gina launched a new website highlighting her love of stamping called Stamp TV.

Each week she offers up a new technique challenge to the members of Stamp TV and she also shows you how to do the technique. Last week's technique was a Emboss Resist technique.

To view Gina's videos on the Emboss Resist technique see her first video here and her second video here.

Here's the card I created using the emboss resist technique...

I'm Off....

I'm off to ScrapFest and to visit our families in Ontario today! Spencer and I are leaving Calgary early this morning. That should be an interesting flight... me and a 3.5 year old! Usually my hubby is great big help when we travel but he has to stay at home and work so it's just the two of us going for a visit.

For the next 6 days, I'll be posting a wide variety of cards and some techniques as to how I did each of them.

For today's card, I created this one last week for a challenge at one of my old stomping ground, Scrapperie. They're having a Snail Mail Soiree this month and have posted a new card challenge every day for the month of April.

This card was made for the challenge using a butterfly.

Oh Beautiful Butterfly

I used white embossing powder and my pretty Stampin' Up! floral image stamp to create the black back ground.

Don't forget that I'm giving away a FREE set of myStamp BOX stamps for the month of April. For details see THIS post! Good luck!

Random Chaos [52]

This week's challenge over at Random Chaos was to create a page with 6 or more photos!

This was truly a challenge for me! Generally I use anywhere from 1 to 3, many 4 photos but hardly ever 6... Especially on a single page so this challenge was perfect for me!

Under the Weather

A close up of some of the ways I used the BasicGrey stickers....

My journaling.....

supplies: patterned paper, stickers: BasicGrey; gems: Hero Arts; pen: Sharpie; other: thread.

I was also very lucky to have BasicGrey pick this page up for their product gallery! Cool huh?
