Read 2 Me!

Howdy sketch lovers!  It's another reveal day at Let's Capture Our Memories!

This week's reveal is a little more special though.  It's the last day for the Winter Sketch Team.  We're saying goodbye to a few of our designers... that sucks!  But that also means we are welcoming in a new team next week.  Hooray!

So for our final sketch for the Winter Sketch Team, we have this sketch... by yours truly!

And here is the layout I created using my own sketch this week...

To me, scrapbooking is truly an art so my layout this week was a true process.  I basically spent 5 hours changing a single 12x12 piece of white cardstock into this page.  I just simply HAD FUN with this one!

My journaling reads:
One of the best childhood memories I have is being
curled up in bed with my mom and sister reading a
good book.  I'm so glad Mama takes time to
create this same memory with you!   April 5 2013.

I had lots of fun with letters.  I used my myStamp BOX "Tall Outline" Alphas to create the back ground and then I used some Making Memories alphabet stickers to create/trace my title.  I even traced the number 2 onto some overlapping pieces of washi tape to create that aspect of my title.

I used a lot of mists on this page.  I actually used them to "paint" between my stamped letters and around my clock images from Flourishes. I also using my American Crafts "Stamp Markers" and used them to add wisps of colour inside my letters.

My layout is very busy but that's what I love about it!  Hope you join us for our final April sketch at Let's Capture Our Memories today!  Make sure you check out what my fellow designers have done with my sketch too!

Alphabet Love!

Hello everyone!  Hope your week is going great.  Today over on the myStamp BOX blog, the Design Team and I are all talking about...
ALPHABETS!

For my project this month, I wanted to showcase one of my favourite mSB stamp sets, Tall Outlines I & II.  One of the reasons why I love these stamps sets, is that they are LARGE and empty (in other words... you can stamp inside them)!

Here is a close up of the inside of my alpha detail.  I used the tiny snowflake stamp from the "Let It Snow!" stamp set.  And those pretty little boughs are from the "Holiday Monkey" stamp set.

I added a little bit of Glossy Accents to the odd embossed holly berry and some glitter to the boughs.

Come on out and check out the BLOG what the rest of my fellow Design Team members have created using ALPHABETS.

Supplies:
stamps:  myStamp BOX
cardstock:  Flourishes Classic White
die cut shapes:  Spellbinders
inks: Memento, Copic, Ranger, Stampin' Up!
accessories:  Martha Stewart glitter

Here's one of the pages I first altered using gesso, stamps from the "Wishing You Sunshine" stamp set and some simple inks...

And then I turn it into a finished mini album page using some mini faux Polaroid photos, some patterned papers and some stickers...

myStamp BOX and Clearsnap Unite!

myStamp BOX and Clearsnap have joined forces this week!  Both teams are combining products to see what fun and cool things we can create!

For my card, I began by creating a focal image.  For this, I used the Clearsnap chalk inks and brush ink pads and created a swirly palette.  I used the colours: Moss Green, Lime Green, Aquamarine, Frost Blue and Frost White inks.

I then stamped a variety of the cool stamp cancelling images from the myStamp BOX Road Trip stamp set all over my focal piece of paper. My sentiment is from the Mention It collection.

Come and join us on the Clearsnap blog and the myStamp BOX blog to see what everyone has created!

Supplies:
stamps: myStamp BOX (Mention It, Road Trip)
cardstock: Bazzill, Flourishes
inks: Clearsnap
embossing folder: Cuttlebug
die cut shapes: Spellbinders
accessories: ribbon

LCTS ~ We Are Moving!

It's time for a fun sketch! I'm playing along with the Let's Capture These Sketches crew.  Here is a look at this week's sketch by Jerusha Borden...

Here is the card I created using the sketch...

We are Moving!

To create my focal image I first stamped the cute little house from the No Place Like Home stamp set from myStamp BOX.  Then I masked off the house and the grass and sponged some Ranger inks for the green.  Next I masked off the sky and sponged in the water.  Then I stamped the sun using a floral stamp from the Funky Flowers stamp set.  I masked off the sun and the water and sponged in my sky.  The sentiment is from the Neighborhood collection from mSB.

Come on out and check out what the rest of the LCTS team created using this sketch, here

Supplies:
stamps: myStamp BOX (No Place Like Home, Funky Flowers, Neighborhoods)
cardstock: Bazzill, Flourishes
patterned papers: American Crafts (Shoreline)
