Chibitronics ~ Light 'em Up Goldie!

Today I’m sharing my latest light up card featuring products from Chibitronics.

Today we’re going we are going to light up card featuring the FADE "Craft Effects Circuit Sticker" and some fun Orange LED Light Stickers. We offer a variety of other Animating Sticker types like our Rainbow Fade and White Blink LED Light Stickers but in this case I wanted to use some orange lights so we needed our Fade Craft Effects Sticker to do the job.

I began today's card by stamping and coloring in the front panel of my card. This card features the adorable images of the "Goldie" stamp set by Sweet November Stamps. The panel is colored in using Distress Oxide inks and Copic Markers.

When stamping my front panel, I also stamped the location of the 3 goldfish to my circuit building panel. This will help me with the location of each LED sticker for my circuit.

Next I traced the paper Battery Holder and located it in the bottom right hand corner of the card. I used the handy Craft Stencil and mapped out the location of my Fade Craft Effects Sticker.

From there I drew the negative side of the circuit using a blue pen. The blue line crosses over all 3 of the negative sides of the 3 orange light stickers and into the bottom left hand corner of the Fade Craft Effects Sticker.

Then I drew a red line to indicate the positive side of the circuit. This side of the circuit will start on the inside of the paper battery holder or switch. I also passed this side of the circuit through the bottom right hand corner and out the top of the Fade Craft Effects Sticker.

Next I applied my self-adhesive Battery Holder to the circuit surface. I began to apply the Conductive Fabric Tape to the negative side of the circuit, beginning inside the Battery Holder.

I applied all of the Conductive Fabric Tape to the positive side of the circuit. I began my tape inside the Battery Holder lid. This will allow the tape to make contact with the battery when the lid is pressed down.

I stuck down all 3 of my Orange LED Light Stickers on to my circuit ensuring that all of the negative points of my triangles touched the negative side of the circuit and all the positive tops of the triangles touched the positive side of the circuit. I also adhered my Fade sticker to it's proper location too.

To finish off the inside, I adhered down the C-shaped foam adhesive inside the Battery Holder, added a battery in the center and closed up the battery holder. Don’t forget to test your creation before adhering this closed!

Then I added Foam Tape around the edges of the card, peeled off the backer paper and closed up my card.

Let’s see the finished card all lit up…

Now remember, these goldfish light up and then FADE in and out so you must see this card in action on my Instagram channel, right here!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Newsletter FREEBIE!

As I mentioned yesterday, Sweet November Stamps offers a FREEBIE with each and everyone of their monthly newsletters!   Each month, a COUPON CODE is shared in the newsletter allowing subscribers to download a brand new digital image for FREE!

This month's code is for the adorable heart hiding, "Heartly".

I decided to pair this little girl with a previously released digital image, the "Cupid and the Dove" image.

I masked off my my little Heartly and her Cupid with masking paper which I printed on using my injet printer and hand cut out.

Once masked, I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide inks and splattered it with silver paint.

I removed the masks and colored in both images with Copic Markers. Once colored, I added another very quick layer of paint splatter.

Make sure to check out the Heartly image in the SNS Shop to check out all the fun examples my fellow designers have created using her kind image.

See you later and have a great rest of the weekend!

Craft Roulette ~ Critter Sledding Fun!

Howdy!!  Hope you're having a great week!  Today's card is this past week's entry for Craft Roulette.  This will be my 56th submission.

The four parameters that the wheel gave us this week were:

  • Project: Card with 2 Tags (birthday)
  • Colors: Guest's Choice: Happy Colors (purples & pinks!)
  • Element: Nail(s) (kitty has nails showing)
  • Random: Outside the lines (I drew my trees so they are created outside the lines of a stamped image)

So this week's card features an adorable stamp set from Purple Onion Designs.  The stamp is called "Tofu, Flappy & Mousy Fun in the Snow" by Chilliezgraphy by Pei.

I colored everything on today's card using Copic Markers.  I also used a sentiment from Sweet November Stamps from the "Snowball Fight" stamp set with CP Flirty Fuchsia ink.

Make sure to check out Craft Roulette over on YouTube and join us every Friday at 6:30pm CT for a brand new episode! Hope you'll join us tonight!

Chibitonics ~ New Video for a Glowing Red Heart Balloon Card

Happy Monday!  I’m Allison Cope and today I’m sharing my latest light up card featuring products from Chibitronics. Make sure to check out the step-by-step video on our YouTube channel too!

Today we’re going we are going to light up a birthday balloon card with our fun Animating Red Fade LED Light Stickers.

I began making today's card by die cutting out 2 balloon shapes from the card front, inking them up and backing them with fun cardstock and adhering them back into there designated spaces. I transferred the location of the 3 heart shapes I want to light up using another balloon die cut to the inside of my circuit panel. This will help me with the location of each LED sticker.

I traced the paper Battery Holder and located it in the bottom left hand corner of the card. From there I drew the negative side of the circuit using a blue pen. The blue line crosses over all 3 of the negative sides of the light stickers.

Next I drew a red line to indicate the positive side of the circuit. This side of the circuit will start on the inside of the paper battery holder or switch.

Next I applied my self-adhesive Battery Holder to the circuit surface. I began to apply the Conductive Fabric Tape to the negative side of the circuit, beginning inside the Battery Holder.

Next I applied all of the Conductive Fabric Tape to the positive side of the circuit. I began my tape inside the Battery Holder lid. This will allow the tape to make contact with the battery when the lid is pressed down.

I stuck down all 3 of my Animating Red Fade LED Light Stickers on to my circuit ensuring that all of the negative points of my hearts touched the negative side of the circuit and all the positive tops of the hearts touched the positive side of the circuit.

Super cute balloons!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Birthday Gifts for You!

Howdy and Happy Saturday! Today I'm sharing another holiday stamp set from the clear stamps released in November from Sweet November Stamps!

Today's card features the holiday release "SN Gal Gloria".  Yes... from the Christmas/winter release.

The minute I saw her, even thought she's made for Christmas, I saw her carrying in some presents for a birthday guy or girl!

I started by stamping Gloria and her balloons from the "Paisley" stamp set on my slimline card panel and then I masked her off and a portion of the edges of the card front.

I used my Copic air brush system to add a umbre of soft chartreuse green to the background.

I peeled off the masks and colored everything in Copic Markers.  I used a White Gel Pen to add some of the fun details to the ribbons and gift papers.  I added a die cut foil sentiment to finish it off.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!  Go get creative!

Craft Roulette ~ Lots of Puppies!

Howdy!!  Hope you're having a great week!  Today's card is this past week's entry for Craft Roulette.  This will be my 55th submission.

The four parameters that the wheel gave us this week were:

  • Project: Celebrate (birthday)
  • Colors: Apple Farm (reds, greens, blues, browns)
  • Element: Preserve(s) (jam jar behind present)
  • Random: Add a Dog (lots of pups)

So this week's card features lots of My Favorite Things cuteness!

I started by die cutting out the Waffle Flower "Postage Collage Die" and using the corresponding stencil to then stamp on all the elements from the MFT " Presents and Pupcakes" stamp set.

I used the MFT "Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes" stamp set for the sentiment and the cupcake images.

After coloring up each stamp with Copic Markers, I added some postage markings and stamp prices from the Waffle Flower "Postage Collage" stamp sets and Hoodie ink.

Make sure to check out Craft Roulette over on YouTube and join us every Friday at 6:30pm CT for a brand new episode! Hope you'll join us tonight!

Good luck!
