This Christmas ~ Little Pink Bug

Happy Thursday!  Just a little pink Bug to say "hello" to you today!

I started with a card base cut using the fabulous "Scallops and Dots Dies" and inked up with Seafoam, Sea Glass and finally Bay Breeze.

Then I stamped and die cut the VW Bug from the "Wrapped and Ready" stamp set and colored in with more CP inks: Limencello, Tiki Torch, Samba and Party Dress.

A fun holiday card indeed!

Have a great day!

Catherine Pooler ~ A Little Tree Shaker

Hello fellow Catherine Pooler lovers!

Today I'm sharing this fun and simple little shaker card featuring the adorable little tree form the "Wrapped and Ready" stamp set.

To make my card, I first die cut 2 scalloped rectangles from the cool new "Decked Out Holiday 6x6" patterned papers.  I die cut the straight edged rectangle from the navy paper to create a frame using the "Scallops and Dots Dies". I backed the blue frame with a piece of acetate and added foam tape to the back of the frame.

Next I poured some of the beautiful "Wintergreen Sequins" on to the light blue polka dotted paper and placed the foam backed frame over top to trap the sequins behind the frame.

Then I stamped the little tree using "In the Park" ink and die cut it using the "Wrapped and Ready Dies" plus I stamped the greeting in "Rockin' Red" ink.

All the new products used today can be purchased in the "Urban Holiday Bundle"...

This release has so many fabulous product bundles to choose from... (click the below images from more information...)

I hope you have a great Hump Day!  Happy browsing!

This Christmas ~ Bundled Bugs

Today's the day that the "This Christmas" collection from Catherine Pooler Designs hits the CP Shop!

Today's cards started as one!  I cut a large piece of CP Premium White Cardstock and stamped the adorable Bug image from the "Wrapped and Ready" stamp set right in the center.  I created a mask using the corresponding die set and then inked up the sky with some Serenade, Drive In and Queen for the Day inks. I spattered some water across the background to create a starry appearance.

Next I colored my image using a variety of fun Copic Marker colors and added a white embossed sentiment from the same stamp set.  I cut the panel in half to create two card front panels.  Voila!  Two cards were born!

All of the new products featured today will go live in the CP Shop on Wednesday September 15th. If you are a StampNation member, you can shop TODAY at 9:00am ET.

I hope you'll join me again tomorrow for more holiday card fun!

This Christmas ~ Non-Traditional Holiday Colors

Happy Tuesday!  Today the CP Shop will go live for StampNation members at 9am EST for you to purchase all of the fun new "This Christmas" release!

For my first card, I went teal as my color.  I masked off the edges of my slimline card front and then I created 1/2" stripes of masking paper.  I blended Cummerbund across the stripes and then some All That Jazz on the top and bottom of each stripe. I then stamped out the tree and stack of presents using a combination of the Cummerbund & All That Jazz inks.

I stamped the sentiment from the "Near Or Far" Stamp set using All That Jazz and I heat embossed the "Christmas" word with gold embossing powder.  A splatter of bronze paint puts a metallic fun touch!

Next I decided I wanted a purple and red card.  I started by stamping all three of the adorable ornaments from the "Wrapped and Ready" stamp set all over my card front using Serenade ink.  Then I inked up our new "Gradient Diamond Stencil" with Serenade and Drive In inks.

Then I stamped the cute little gift adored Bug on a die cut using the "Scallop and Dots Dies", then adding a Rockin' Red scalloped die cut edge.  The red sentiment is from the "Near or Far" stamp set.

I love working with non-traditional colors on holiday cards.  I hope these two cards inspire you to do the same.

All of the new products featured today will go live in the CP Shop on Wednesday September 15th. If you are a StampNation member, you can shop TODAY at 9:00am ET.

I hope you'll join me tomorrow for more Christmas card fun!

Hello Autumn + a Giveaway!

Happy Monday all!  Today I'm sharing a few fun Fall cards that I created on the weekend.  All three cards feature the fabulous "Front Porch" stamp sets from Catherine Pooler Designs.

For my first card, I stamped my pumpkin image using a no-line ink and then I watercolored it using my Karin Markers.  I gold embossed my greeting from the "Give Thanks Sentiments" stamp set and added my watercolor paper panel to some fun "Urban Plaid 6x6" patterned paper.

For my second card I started by die cutting a piece of gold cardstock from Tim Holtz using the "Among the Seaweed Cover Die" and then added my floral pumpkin on a die cut from the "Skyscape Mini Cover Plate Die".  I stamped the pumpkin using Merlot ink and then colored it using Copic Markers.  Don't you just love this pumpkin in teal?  I stamped the simple greeting from the "Give Thanks Sentiment" stamp set in Aquatini ink.

For the final card, I first took a combination of Tiki Torch and Mandarin Spice inks and stamped the little pumpkin all over the front card panel.  Then I die cut the frame, "A2 Thin Frame Die" from Simon Says Stamp from the front panel. I then inked the panel underneath with a ombre effect using Mandarin Spice and Merlot ink.  For the sentiment, I first stamped in Merlot ink and then I shifted the stamp slightly and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  A little gold paint splatter across the front and the card was complete!

The amazing "Bookshelf Stencil", I used for a book reading tracker page.  I used my CP Blending Brushes to lightly ink the stencil and then my Sharpie Fine Pen to outline all the shapes.  I used Black Jack ink to add some fun accents on some of the books and vases.

Vellum Birthday Blooms

Happy Saturday! It's time for another fun Saturday Challenge over at Three Room Studio.

This week's challenge is to use VELLUM.  Yup!  It's that simple!

I began my card by stamping the fairy from "Believe in Fairies" and the Hibiscus flowers from "Mom's Hibiscus" stamp sets. I coloured them each up using Copic Markers and Polychromos Pencils and die cut them all out using their coordinating dies.

I masked off a fun shaped back ground on my card panel and inked it up in Chiffon, Bellini and Samba inks.

I then die cut a hexagon of vellum and inked up the edges of it with Veramark ink and sprinkling it with gold embossing powder and heat set it.  I also stamped the sentiment, also from the "Believe in Fairies" stamp set and gold embossed it.

I layered all of my blooms, fairy and vellum up and added it to the front of the card along with some cute stars and a layer of gold cardstock.

Now, please take a moment to check out my fellow designers creations for today's challenge:
