My Club Sursee is Here!

Happy Monday everyone!  I have been ill for the last 24 hours but since the house is quiet with no boys at home (one gone to work and the other to school!) I can finally crack open my new Club Sursee from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I have the Basic Club Sursee so I received 2 stamp sets in my collection.

The first card I created features the beautiful scripty font back ground stamp and some of the thistle and Queen Ann’s Lace florals in it…

I used Spa colours for this card: Sugared Lavender, Royal Treatment, Sauna, Mandarin Spice and Spruce.

For my second card I was inspired to use the StampNation weekend color challenge colors; Skylight, Polished, Rose Petals, Peppermint Scrub and Mandarin Spice. I wanted my card to be a little more abstract so I used the linen textured back ground stamp from the Club Sursee and inked up with a two color palette and created a funky back ground for my sentiment and florals.

Such a simple but pretty effect!

PLUS... have you seen the new sneak peek of the newest collection coming into the store next week...

Along with the new collection comes FOUR new inks and Catherine shared the very first one with us yesterday...
ROUGE!  And it's accompanied by 3 other fabulous Spa Collection colors!!  More reveals and peeks coming this week on the CP blog.
Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you had a creative weekend and continue to have a create week!

Coffee & Cuddles!

Hello and welcome to another fun Saturday Challenge over at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

Today our hostess for theme for Challenge #478 is Krafty Gal Danielle and she is challenging you  to use TEXTURE on your creation(s).

For my card today I wanted to use the adorable little teddy bears from the “Beary Love” stamp set. I also combined it with a RETIRED stamp set “One Cup at a Time” (so sorry… didn’t realize it ‘til it was too late!).

To create the texture on my card I used the “Puppy Pawprint Stencil” with some embossing paste combined with some Purple Pansy and Purple Petunia inks to tint it purple. Plus I also added some subtle designs to my coffee cups using the “Leaves & Vines Stencil”.

PLUS... the little dark brown bear leaps up and down in her cup....

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like! These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however using a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp will earn you double entries! Each submission will enter you into the monthly draw of a $40 gift voucher to the krafty shop!

We've also got a sketch to inspire you for the month of April! You don't have to use it but it's there for you to use if you need a little kick start....feel free to use it any time!

Make 'em POP!

Howdy all!  Happy Thursday!  Today I'm here to share a very simple tutorial on how to make your little critters (or any other images) POP!

The key ingredient to this technique today is Olba glue. It’s a thick, clear glue with lots of body.  It allows you create a 3-D backer for your fussy cut images to pop up.

Today my card features the adorable “Monkey Hanging in There” and the “Bunny with Glasses” digital stamp sets from Gerda Steiner Designs.

So come and join me on the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog for the full tutorial... click HERE.

Thanks for joining me today!  I hope you too get to try adding some more dimension to your card creations sometime soon.
