Clover & Pansies

Happy Friday the 13th!  I hope you have lots of crafty plans for this weekend.

Today I’m sharing a simple card for St. Patrick’s Day! I coloured up this beautiful digital image, “Clover and Pansies” by Power Poppy using some Copic Markers and then added the final details in with Polychromos Pencils.

Krafty Lilacs

Happy Friday all!  It’s time for another SALE over at Power Poppy!

This weekend we are featuring the amazing “Lilac Time” clear stamp set and the 2 digital stamp sets “French Lilac” and “Lilacs and Lemons”.  See HERE for more info!!!

I chose to get out some kraft cardstock today and use my Polychromos Pencils to colour up the amazing “Lilac Time” stamp.

I also created my simple colourful plaid back ground using the fun stripe elements from the “Snuggle Down” stamp set.  Isn’t it a cute pop of colour?

Pretty Peonies & a Weekend Stamp Steal!

Happy Friday everyone!  Last night I got to play with some fun stamps and watercolor.  There’s something so beautiful about how watercolor turns out!

I chose to showcase the Dynamic Duos: Peonies & Tulips stamp set by Power Poppy.


I used the Ink on 3 “Fade Out Ink” to stamp my image and then I watercoloured them using Catherine Pooler Designs inks.  Super, duper simple!

Snowy Snouts

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you’re planning to do a little creating this weekend.  I’m going to sure try!

I thought I would make a card with fun feature on the front… a shaker!  My card features the Christmas Corgis and also Grandma’s Snowflakes.


This gate fold card is held closed with embedded magnets. It’s the one thing that I don’t like about gate folds – they like to flap open all the time.

Bring On the Sun Shine!

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you’ve had a fabulous week!  Join me and a few Power Poppy Bloomies today for some fun stamping fun!

Marcella has just released a WHOLE bunch of brand new digital stamps for you!  She has a whole bunch of her star studded clear stamp images and has made them in a digi form.

Today I’m working with the new “Bring Home Some Sunflowers” originally from the “Sunny Harvest” clear stamp collection. 

I printed out 3 identical images of the wrapped sunflower bouquet and built a 3-D version of the bouquet.

Here's a little card I made for the Card Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers this week.  I used the new "Abundant Petals" stamp set and some QUICK Copic Marker colouring...

I kept the colouring SUPER EASY on this card.  I didn't really add low lights or highlights at all, just bright bold colour!

TGIF Tulips!

Good day all!  It’s Friday and time to start a long weekend here in Canada!  I know I’m certainly looking forward to having a lazy 4 days to myself as my guys are off to San Francisco today.

So to begin the weekend, let pick some Tulips… some Power Poppy tulips from the “Dynamic Duos: Peonies & Tulips” clear stamp set!

For my card I actually used my Ranger Distress Oxides to create my back ground and also colour up my gold embossed tulip image too!  They work like a dream to paint up images!

Here’s a little close up of the sparkle of the gold embossing plus the cool effect of the painted tulips.

Power Poppy: Succulent Fields

Happy Friday one and all!  I’m off on a Scout camp weekend so I’m packing up my gear and getting ready for hopefully lots of sunshine and fresh air.  But before I go, I’m sharing a fun card using Power Poppy’s amazing products!

Today I made a card with a lot of masking!  If you haven’t already checked out my easy masking tutorial over on the Power Poppy Blog, make sure you do.  You can find right HERE.

I used one of newest clear stamp sets called “Succulent Singles” to create today’s card.  I stamped and masked off all the different succulents to create the cascade of plants.  Then I left all the masks on the plants and blended my Ranger Distress Inks all across the back ground.

I’m playing along with a few fun challenges today.  First off all, I used this week’s sketch from Fresh Made Sketches, #287;
Plus I used the colour scheme and photo inspiration from the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, #406;

Power Poppy: Sweet Pea Hugs

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you have some amazing plans for your up and coming weekend.  For me, it’s the last 2 days of my son’s Spring Break so we’re just chillin’ around the house.

Today I was playing with the new “Sweet Memories” stamp set featuring the delicate Sweet Peas from Power Poppy.

I had fun colouring my blooms and peas with my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers. I thought I had used a scrap piece of some watercolor paper but somehow I did not!   Oops!

Here’s a little bit of a close up… I used the fun sentiment from the “Nice Things to Say” stamp set.

Power Poppy: Introducing... Tiger Lily XL

Hey all!  Welcome to Day 5 of the Power Poppy “Spring Fling” Collection clear stamp reveal.  Today is our final day of sneak peeks.  We have shown you a whopping EIGHT clear stamp sets.  Here are the first seven sets to gawk at…

and finally for today, our amazing new Tiger Lily XL…
You may have already seen this beauty as it was used by Kathy Racoosin on Day 1 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge!  Isn't it a beaut?!?!

For my final card of the release I chose to watercolor this big beauty with my Derwent Inktense Pencils and then add some details back in using my Prismacolor Pencils.  This image was a pleasure to colour!!!
I know it's extremely hard to see but I created a background using the beautiful sentiment included in the stamp set, distressed it a bit using some Ranger Distress Inks and then did a whole lot of stitching over top and then added the Chevron Segments Die from MFT over top.
