Fairy Hugs!

Happy Saturday!

Over at Three Room Studio we have a brand new Saturday Challenge up and this week we're asking you to create a project with paper piecing on it.

For my card, I started by stamping the 3 fairies from the "Believe in Fairies" stamp set and paper piecing their outfits with pretty patterned papers.  I added the fun pink "Hugs" sentiment using the "Aww Thanks" stamp set and matching die.

I hope you'll take a moment and check out the rest of the Design Team Creations today over on Istagram:

Don't Feed the Bears!

Howdy all!  It's my turn to post a sketch over at Splitcoaststampers this week!

Here is my sketch, SC864;

For my card, I used the adorable "Happy Camper" stamp set from Pawsome Stamps!

I stamped the tree, bush, sign and bear using the lighter brown "Desert Sand" ink and coloured everything in with Copic Markers.

I used the MFT and SSS dies to cut the fun layers to create the multi-layered frames using the fun "Forest Tea Party" 6x6 patterned papers.

I love this card!  I looks so much better in person too!

I hope you have a great Hump Day!

Happy Birthday Balloons

So I had a little fun with my new Catherine Pooler goodies this weekend!

I just had to ink up some of the new cute "Birthday Balloon Dies" and the "Balloon Extras Dies"!

I kept my card VERY simple; just 3 balloons and a simple "Happy Birthday" die cut sentiment!

These are the balloons I started with and I chose my 3 favorite to use!

I hope you had a crafty weekend!

See you again soon!

Missing You Fairy

Happy Saturday all!  It's time for another fun Saturday Challenge over at Three Room Studio!

This week our hostess Candice Richardson has found us an amazing colour palette to use this week...

Isn't it pretty?!?!

So I tried to stay true to the colours for this card.  The stamp sets I used were the lily pad from the "It's a Ponderful Life" stamp set and the fairy, bug and sentiment from the "Believe in Fairies" stamp set.  I created the fun edge by cutting out my own mask shape and using my Copic air brush to colour in the back ground.

Please take a gander at my fellow designer creations for today's challenge...

Club Canvo: Kites and Bikes!

Hey there!  Another fun day of sharing some of my Club Canvo spreads with you!

For Week 3 of August, I decided to go pink and blue.  Look at all those fun kites?!   This is right up our family's alley as we are kite fliers!  Yup... my hubby and I have a variety of kite sizes and shapes that we love to fly.  My hubby even kitesurfs!

This month's bundle included a fun hexagon stencil called the "Buzz-y Monthly Stencil".  I took some time and masked off the stencil to create these fun colorful sides of Week 4 for my August spreads.  So fun!

If you are new to bullet journaling, you might want to check out the whole Club Canvo Subscription info page, right HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!

Club Canvo: August Summery Spreads

Happy Monday!  I hope you survived the weekend - we lost our AC on Friday evening and spent the majority of the weekend gallivanting in my air contained Jeep or at our local swim lake just outside town.

Today I'm sharing the first 2 weekly spreads from my Club Canvo subscription.

I went with the fun Spa Collection of inks for this first August spread. I used Lemongrass, Mandarin Orange, Rouge, Sangria, Stone Blue, Green Tea, Black Jack and Midnight inks.

I used the "Weekly Three Stencil" as the base for my panelled look. I used the "Year Round Essentials" stamp set for the days of the week, "Milestone Birthday Sentiment Mix" for my numbers and the "Months Many Ways" to document the month of August's calendar in the lower right hand corner of this spread.

Here's a little bit more of a close up of my first page.  I used the "Tombow Blender Pen" to color in all of my images using CP inks.  This is a MUST-HAVE tool for bullet journaling and coloring!

For my second week, I used the "Weekly Seven Stencil" for my panelling and lots of fun pinky tones of ink: Sparkling Berry, Sangria, Sugared Lavender, Royal Treatment plus the fun Clay Mask.

Isn't that little bicycle to die for??  So cute!

I had a blast creating with the July bundle for the Club Canvo subscription!

Sign up by July 31st and your September Canvo goodies will ship the first week of August!

I hope you have an amazing and crafty week!  Happy journaling!

Make a Wish - Pink Party Time!

Howdy!  Happy Saturday!  I hope you've had some time to create!

Today I'm sharing another fun card using the products that have just released from Catherine Pooler Designs this week.

I started off by die cutting the postage edge and center panel using the "Postage Stamp Die" set.

Then I stamped out the fun candles and flames on the diagonal across the center panel.

I applied both Pink Champagne and Skylight ink to pieces of white cardstock and then cut out the pieces of the "Party Word Die" and applied them on the top.  So easy!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll see you again tomorrow with some more Club Canvo!

Club Canvo: Rainbow Hexagon Summer

Happy Friday!  Today I'm going to share the first few spreads for August in my Canvo.  All of the stamps and stencils used today are featured in the July subscription of Club Canvo.

What's Club Canvo you say?  It's a monthly subscription package containing 2 themed stamp sets and a stencil for you use in your bullet journal from Catherine Pooler Designs.

For this subscription, you would have received:

  • Cares to the Wind stamp set
  • August Fun stamp set
  • Buzz-y Monthly Stencil

For each month, I always start off with a fun intro page.  For August, I wanted to use the amazing stencil and that cute little bicycle with some fun rainbow inks!

I had a blast inking up that fun stencil!

For my second page for August, I wanted a full calendar spread so again, I used the same rainbow inks and the stencil.  I added the numbers from the "January Notes" stamp set (an essential stamp set!) and row of whimsical flowers!

The CP Blender Brushes (we now have 2 sizes!!) and the Tombow Blender Pen are the perfect tools to use in your Canvo.  They help blend your CP inks right across those beautiful cardstock pages.

PLUS... Catherine also has dies for the larger stamp set that come out within a few weeks so you can use the dies for the stamped images for cardmaking!  How brilliant right?!?!?

As a subscriber, every month you’ll receive:
  • a 6 x 9 stencil for easy weekly layouts
  • a monthly themed 4×6 stamp set featuring a weekly tracker and lots of helpful headers, bullets, and other page elements
  • 3×4 stamp set with 3 hand-lettered words for each month

For more information on the Club Canvo subscription, CLICK HERE.

A Club Canvo subscription would make a GREAT GIFT for someone you love!

I hope you have a fabulous and creative weekend!

Beachy Bears & Fruit

I've been having some fun with some of my new My Favorite Things supplies that arrived this week!

I thought I'd play along with 2 of their fun challenges this week.  First off is the...

The sketch this week is a slimline sketch but I squished it a bit... LOL!

My sketch card creation features the sweet little "Bunch of Happiness" stamp set!  I piled the whole bunch on my card...   I also used the fun "Watercolor Wash Rectangle Stencil" to create the back drop for all my fruity friends.

I needed another fun card to send out so I also created a card using this week's Color Challenge:

For this card, I featured the adorable bears & bees of the "We Beelong" stamp set and the "Watercolor Free Form Stencil" too..

Thanks MFT for inspiring my cards today!  Come and play along too!

Make a Wish - Is HERE!

Today is the day everyone!  Today is the day the entire "Make a Wish" release goes live in the Catherine Pooler shop!

We have puppies!  We have candles!  We have balloons!  We have it all!

Today I'm sharing a very simple card!  First I started by inking up the large "Scribble Grid Background" stamp and stamping it with WOW's embossing ink and then adding the sparkly WOW "Disco Ball" embossing powder!  I heat set it and BOY does it sparkle!!!

I inked up the "Birthday Cake Remix" stamp set and cut out the cake base, stamping it with fun stars from the "Make a Wish" stamp set.  I added some fun candles and a stamped sentiment and VOILA!  A really easy birthday card!

Don't forget, the Ink Stand has been designed the fabulous "Oval Ink Stand" to help you with holding all the CP ink pads. Purchase a few and they have magnets on the side that allow you to keep them "clicked" together.

PLUS, if you're a CP ink collector like a lot of us, make sure you add those amazing Ink Pad Side Labels to your cart too!

Happy shopping and then happy creating everyone!
