Paperwhite Blessings
Over at the Flourishes blog, this past Timeless Tuesday challenge was to create a card using some kind of hardware on it. For my card this week, I chose to use some gold brads as my hardware.
Paperwhite Blessings
For my card, I first stamped a faux toile back ground using the "Paperwhites" stamp set and then I did a cut out for my focal image. I popped it up on an embossed circle over top of an embossed panel.
You can a bit of the dimension here...
Come out and join in the challenge this week! You still have another day or so participate! Good luck!!!

Made with Love
This week over at CP4U we have a bright and fun photo challenge by the lovely Regiane. Regiane has given us THIS cool photo to inspire our creations this week.
For me, it was the beautiful, bright , bold colours that stood out the most so that's what I used as a starting off point for my creation this week.
Made with Love
I started off by designing and cutting a penagon shaped puzzle from multiple shades of the super fun Doodlebug Designs "petite prints" cardstock. I had it in a variety of different colours and I knew the bright colours would be a whimsical design to use for my layout. I used my Klic N'Kut design studio to design the pentagon shapes and corresponding diamond shapes that fit in the pattern. I also used it to design and cut my title details too!
A touch of zig-zag stitching added a finishing touch...
I added some fun brads to my cabbage rose ribbon to look like sprinkles... just like the cupcakes we made for my husband!
Those cute little cupcake buttons and the single pin are from My Little Bit of Whimsy! I knew they were a perfect fit for this layout!
I finished it off with a stitched heart wrapped with twine and a single cloud to match the 2 around my focal photos at the top. It's a cute little stamp from the "Wishing You Sunshine" stamp collection at myStamp BOX.
I hope you'll join the rest of the CP4U team for this week's prompt! This is the last prompt for January... and a chance to WIN a $20.00 gift certificate to a Canadian or US based scrapping on-line store of your choosing! Just think of the shopping possibilities!!!

Can You Hum "Happy Birthday"?
My third and final birthday card that I created on the weekend centered around a sweet little hummingbird and some trumpet flowers! This is a fun slider pop-up card.
When you pull the ribbon at the top it reveals a message at the top of the tag...
... and then a message under the front panel...
Here's a close up of my little hummer...
I hope you've enjoyed all the birthday card inspiration this week! I had a ball making each one of them and sharing them with you!

Cherry Blossom Wishes!
As I promised, another birthday card today! I had some much fun building this card. It's not a typical card size for me to create but it gave me the freedom to add a little more detail to it.
Cherry Blossoms
I kept this one a little more simple... LOL! I layered the oval and a die cut tag shape to get my sentiment shape and the added flourish of pearls just adds a little bit of elegance I think. The beautiful blossom image is from Flourishes, called "Cherry Blossoms".
Stay tuned tomorrow when I reveal rather a shady project....

Birthday Card Bonanza!
I received an email from my son's school teacher last night asking me if I could create a birthday card for a friend that was going to celebrate her 50th birthday soon. I said "Sure!".
So I sat down today to create a few cards for her to choose from. I'll share the rest of them over the next couple of days. Here's the first of three. It's an easel card.
Hello Friend
Here's what the inside of the card looks like... a simple band of edge punched cardstock stamped with a message and a row of pearls.

Snowy Scenes and Sketches!
I've been on roll and this sketch from Card Patterns got my creative juices flowing again today.
So I decided to combine it with the new challenge over on the Your Next Stamp challenge blog today. This week's challenge was to create a snowy scene on your card. So I grabbed my new "Ellie Building a Snowman" stamp and set to work combining the two....
Winter Scene
I bought these cute little carrot pins from My Little Bit of Whimsy in the fall and I knew it would be perfect on this card... I mean what would a snowman be without a carrot nose???
I hope your Saturday is going snowing-ly!!! Happy stamping!!

To the Man I Love... Happy Birthday!
Today is my darling husband's birthday. My son and I have spent all day getting ready for him. We made him some birthday cupcakes... decorated by my son with 2 kinds of sprinkles and Skor chippets! YUM! Can't wait to get my hands on those puppies! There's a yummy beef stew in the crockpot just waiting to be devoured! Spencer even made him a card too.
I was looking for some last minute inspiration this afternoon and I remembered that I had seen this awesome card sketch by Card Patterns. So I used the sketch below as my inspiration for my hubby's card...
My husband loves to sail! Living in mountains we don't get to do it very often but it's a part of him so I was inspired to use some of these beautiful stamps by Flourishes...
To the Man I Love...
I hope you all have a great Friday! My hubby will be home soon to celebrate and enjoy the rest of the evening. I hope you do too!
