Sweet Sentiment ~ Just Because Daisies

Happy Saturday all!  We have officially started summer here in our household this week as my teenager wrote his last exam.

Today I'm sharing a fun card I whipped up the other day.  It features the beautiful daisies from the "With Great Love" stamp set from Sweet Sentiment.

I started today's card by creating a "marble" effect using my Karin Markers.   I used some gold inks to bleed into the background as well as as added some veining too.

I used the beautiful "crop circles image" from the "Tropical Flora" stamp set with gold embossing powder to lay my triangular spray of florals.

For the triangle image, I first stamped it on some Sweet Sentiment Premium Coloring Cardstock using Memento "Desert Sand" ink.  I then colored it all using Copic Markers.  Once that was colored, I stamped it again and added gold embossing powder over top to match the back drop of the card front.

This week, in honor of our Sweet Sentiment Stamps & Friends Facebook 1000 member milestone, we would like you to "Show Us the Sweets!" We want to see ANY project that you made using Sweet Sentiment Stamps products! Only one entry per participant, must be a project created for this contest. RAWR!!

Happy Monday everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fun-tastic card featuring products from Sweet Sentiment.

Today's card has our brand new "RAWR!" stamp set!  These adorable Dino and prehistoric girls are perfect for so many projects! They are the perfect size for so many things from your planner, to ATCs, to cards, to so much more!

I began my card by making a card base using the Sweet Sentiment Kraft Colring Paper.  I then laid down our new "Dino Tracks Mandala Stencil" and I used some Pearlescent White Embossing Paste from Dreamweaver across the stencil.  While the embossing paste was wet, I sprinkled on some Copper and Gold embossing powders so they shuck into the embossing paste.

I let the paste dry and then I applied heat to the card front to heat set the embossing powders.  I then splattered some white and gold paint from the "Starry Nights" palette from Gansai Tambi.

I stamped the word "RAWR" several times across the top of the kraft card base in Versamark ink and added Detailed Copper embossing powder and heat set that.

Next I stamped my T-Rex and single cave woman images from the "RAWR!" stamp set onto some Sweet Sentiment Premium Coloring Paper using Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink.  This cardstock has SPARKLE to it!!! And it's awesome alcohol marker coloring paper.

Copics: Dino: YG25, YG223, YG03, YG01, YG00, G43, G24, YG67, Y17, Y13, Y02 skin: E44, E43, E42, R04, R20 hair: E49, E47, E44 outfit: E13, E15, E47

Next I coloring in both images using my Copic Markers.  I used a whole wack of green markers to color in that fun T-Rex!  I fussy cut out both images but there is an a Sweet Slices Die made to die cut out all the RAWR! images.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my card today!

The parameters this week include:

  • Project:  Card with ribbon
  • Color: Neutral background + 2 colors
  • Element: Water
  • Random: Ink edging

For my card this week I chose to use the adorable "Party Like a Pirate" by My Favorite Things. It of course, is "water" related...

I printed out an old nautical map, torn it down to size and inked the edges.

For the "ribbon" part of the card, I used the "Cross Your X's Cover Plate" die laid over a dark blue background. It looks like ribbon.

Make sure you check out the latest issue.  You have until Sunday night to enter your card creation!

Have a great weekend!

Daisy Thank You!

Hello there everyone!  Happy Thursday!

Today I'm sharing another card featuring the floral-tastic "Sentimental Susan" stamp set from Sweet Sentiment.  This stamp also has an accompanying Sweet Slices Die set as well.

For my card, I started by stamping masking 3 of the daisy images using Memento "Desert Sand" ink on to the Sweet Sentiment Premium White Coloring Cardstock. This color of ink allows for a more no-line coloring effect since it's so light.

Copics: Flowers: BV23, BV31, BV20, RV09, RV25, RV02, RV00, BV000, YR65

 Background: B0000, B000, B00, B01, B02

Next I coloring in all of my flowers and the dotted background using Copic Markers.  To add some of the darker details and petal details, I used some Polychromos Pencils.

I finished off the card by Copper embossed sentiment from the "With Great Love" stamp set plus if used the "Spirograph" image from the "Sentimental Susan" stamp set using Catherine Pooler "Oh Boy!" ink.  I love this subtle touch.

I hope my card inspires you to pull out some floral stamps and create a fun creation.

Have a great rest of the week!

Hey Friend Peeking Kitty

Happy Wednesday!  I took at little vacation from my crafty desk the last few days.  I needed a little re-charge of my creative energy.  So I'm back again to share a fun interactive card featuring some new and older Catherine Pooler products combined.

Today I'm taking the new sweet little "More Peeking Pets" stamps and dies plus the cool "Hey Word Dies" and the "Hey Hey Hey Sentiments" stamp set.  I also used all of our brand new Apothecary inks too: Whipped Honey, Matcha, Lilac and Crushed Violet.

I first die cut a panel using the "Petal Connection Cover Plate Die" and backed with a card base using a direct-to-paper layer of Whipped Honey ink.

Next I inked up a piece of cardstock using Lilac ink on one end and Crushed Violet ink from the other and combining them in the center.  I die cut the "Notecard Frames & Tags Die" from this piece of ombre cardstock and then cut a circle in that tag.  I die another white cardstock tag to back it too.

I stamped and die cut one of the sweet kitties from the "More Peeking Pets" stamp set in Crushed Violet ink.  I tucked him on the white tag peeking out the acetate backed circle.  Then I added in some fun Loveladies Sequins and closed in my shaker tag element. There's the cutest little yellow daisy sequins in this mix!!

Next I stamped some leaves and flowers from both the Big Blossoms and the Fresh Picked Florals stamp sets.

I adhered the shaker tag element to the card and then die cut both of the pieces of the "Hey Word Die" and inked the base using Lilac ink.  I finished off the card with the "friend" stamped sentiment from the new "Hey Hey Hey Sentiment" stamp set.

Someone special is going to appreciate this card!

I hope you have an amazing day!

Sweet Sentiment ~ June Release ~ Sentimental Susan

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today is the June release day over at Sweet Sentiment!

Today I'm showcasing the brand new "Sentimental Susan" stamp set!  This gorgeous stamp set is part of Sweet Sentiments 3D blooms stamp set series!

For my card, I started with a piece of Strathmore Watercolor paper and some Versafine Black Onyx ink.  I stamped a variety of the fun blooms and leaves and my sentiment in the middle.

I used my Karin Markers to watercolor in my blooms and leaves.  I wanted the colors to bleed outside of the lines and be nice and loose.

To add a subtle touch, I took some Grey Flannel ink from Momento to add a subtle kiss of that cool "spirograph" type image... so cool!

I added a little gold splatter to finish off my card plus some very fine Copic Multi-liner lines to frame out the card!

Stay tuned for another release card later this afternoon!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Chibitronics ~ Monster Birthday Light Up Card

Happy Friday!  I'm here today to share my latest light up card creation featuring the fun-tastic Chibitronic products!

Today I'm making a fun card for my nephew's birthday coming up next week!  I know he's going to love this interactive card!

To begin my card, I printed out this adorable "Cupcake Monster" digital stamp from Mo Manning of Digital Pencil.  I digitally added the blue and faded green background before printing out my picture.

I also printed out another version without the color so I could use the image as a map for my circuit.

Next I mapped out my entire circuit on my card base print out.  I used the fun stencil from the "Circuit Stickers and Effects Stencil" set.  I planned where all of my lights would go (where all the candles were!), my circuit lines and the placement of my batteries.

Next I started by laying down the negative side of my circuit with my handy-dandy Copper Tape.  I made sure it laid down under both of my battery positions on the card.

Next I built my little battery house.  I placed my 2 batteries into place and built a little 3D foam tape house around them.  Then I added a piece of clear acetate over top with the Copper Tape wrapped around it so it would touch the tops of both of the batteries.  I continued laying down my line of Copper Tape to complete the positive side of my circuit.  Where my positive side had to cross over the negative line of tape, I laid down a small piece of cardstock to create bridge.

Next I laid down all of my LED Light Stickers in each of their corresponding candle placements.  I used red, blue and yellow LED stickers from the Red/Yellow/Blue Mega Pack, then orange, pink and green stickers from the Tropical Lights Mega Pack plus one additional White LED sticker from the White Mega Pack of lights.  I used every single color of light that Chibitronics has on this card - SO FUN!!

Next I added some more 3D foam tape all around the outside of my card base and adhered my card panel down.

And voila!  A super fun interactive birthday card for a special little boy!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you give these amazing products a try!

Today is Day 2 of the Stamp Anniething release for June!

I started by stamping my little beach babe using Memento "Desert Sand" ink and colored her up with Copic Markers.  I also used some Polychromos Pencils to add in the details like her eyes, some of her bathing suit details and her hair.

For the sentiment, I die cut the "Beach Word Die" out of a 2 purple Copic Marker blend.  I added the shell details to the sentiment in simple white cardstock.  I also made the "BaBe" part by die cutting the "Beach Word Die" out a few times and used the letters to spell "BaBe".
