Stamp of Approval is Here!

Howdy all!  Happy Wednesday! Today is the release day for the newest Stamp of Approval collection.  This festive collection is called “Home for the Holidays”.

If you are a member of StampNation, there is already a link posted over at the top of the forums for you to go and purchase your box.  The Waitlist people will get their purchase link at 9am EST and then the collection goes live to the public at 6pm EST tonight.

For my card today I thought I’d share something super simple and easy to make duplicates of.  I chose traditional colors of ink of course, Green Tea, Eucalyptus, Rockin’ Red and Peppermint Scrub.

My card features the birdie from the Tiny Wishes stamp set, the heart border from the Cozy Borders stamp set, the branch from the Festive Trimmings stamps and finally the sentiment from my favorite sentiment stamp set, Holiday Mix.

Can you see how easy this card would be to create?  So super simple!

Don’t forget to check out all the fun SOA hops going on…
There are lots of chances to WIN some great Catherine Pooler prizes!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I appreciate the time you take to stop and take a look at my card creations!  Happy creating!

Stamp of Approval ~ Home for the Holidays Blog Hop

This seasonal release of the Stamp of Approval is out of this world gorgeous! It’s called “Home for the Holidays” and it’s a must have for making all those gorgeous holiday cards that you send out each year.

If you are new to Stamp of Approval... here's what's its all about!

Stamp of Approval is a box filled with a special collection of stamps and dies just for you!
All of the items in the box can be mixed and matched together and are designed to do so. Accompanied by your favorite ink, this box makes a great gift too!
I would suggest Catherine's own ink line, found here.

This lovely box of creative goodies comes straight to your mailbox but you have to order
it quickly as it tends to sell out within the first 12 - 18 hours!  All the products
are brand new and never been seen before.  The individual items won’t
be available in the shop until much, much later next year.

To get on the Wait List to receive your "ready for purchase" email, click here!
You are not obligated to purchase; it’s just simply a reminder that it’s
available for purchase in the store. If you are a member of StampNation
you will be able to shop the day before the public release date.
Just one of the perks of being a member! :)

This holiday box of goodies contains…
  • FIVE co-ordinating holiday themed stamp sets
  • TWO amazing die sets
  • some embossing glitters too!
Plus, you can purchase separately additional dies that accompany a few of the stamp sets in the collection too!
  • 2 co-ordinating stamp dies to purchase separately!
Here are two cards that I made only using this festive Home for the Holidays collection.

As soon as I saw the cute little bell in the "Festive Trimmings" stamp set I knew I was going to make some cute patterned paper with it!  So I grabbed my MISTI tool and away I went with rather non-traditional colors but I think it's very fun and festive!

My second card came to me while checking out the images from the "Christmas Cookies" stamp set. I knew I had to make them a holiday plate to sit on!

I even put on some gloss to make them look more like glossy icing!  I added color using some Polychromos Pencils first though.

Now, take a moment and leave a comment.   By leaving a comment you could WIN one of 3 $25 gift certificates to the Catherine Pooler Shop!  How amazing is that! Winners will be announced on Catherine’s blog on Sept. 24th.

Happy Saturday all!  Today is Day 4, the final day of our Natural Wonders Collection reveal at Power Poppy!

The last clear stamp set is going to be one of your favourites I’m sure!  It’s called… Cabbage and Kale!

I wanted to highlight all the colouring using Polychromos Pencils (approximately 4 hours!) I did on my images so I kept today’s card rather simple…

And here's a close up of my cabbages and kales...

Power Poppy: Fortunes of Fall

Happy Friday everyone!  Today is Reveal Day 3 of our Natural Wonders Collection for Power Poppy!

Today’s stamp set truly has Autumn at heart!  It’s full of fabulous fall inspired vignettes… it’s called “Fortunes of Fall”.

I began the inspiration of my card using some amazing fall patterned papers.  I just loved the addition of the teal and navy blue in the with the warm reds and oranges.

I chose to add some whimsical white pen details just like you might find on some of your own Fall decor!

Power Poppy: O Hoppy Day

Welcome to Day 2 of the brand new Power Poppy release of the Natural Wonders Collection.

Today we feature the new clear stamp set, O Hoppy Day!  O Hoppy Day is a beer-themed set with the main image that is currently our Hops & Barley digi, plus bottle caps and punny sentiments.

I chose to feature the spray of wheat and hops.  Isn’t a gorgeous image???

I colored it first with a base and back ground of Copic Markers.  Then I proceeded to use my Polychromos Pencils to add the finer details to the coloring.

Let's Hit the Books!

Happy Friday all!  It’s a new month so that means over at Power Poppy we have a brand new Power & Spark Challenge beginning.  This month’s challenge is all about Hitting the Books!

Hosted by the extra talented Katie Sims, she is challenging people to use something book related on your card or project.  I chose to pull out some fun newsprint patterned paper by KaiserCraft and the glorious “Succulent Singles” stamp set.
I stamped the largest succulent image multiple times across the paper and then cut out different layers and pieces of the plant and layered them to make my final image pop.  I also used a sentiment from the same stamp set for my card as well.

Here’s a little close up!
I hope you’ll join us this month for the challenge.  You could WIN $50 to spend in the Power Poppy Shop!  Good luck!

Now… on to some more inspiration…
