For me, one of my favorite aspects of CP inks is that they work like beautiful watercolors.
Since I knew I would be working with a fair amount of water, I grabbed a piece of Strathmore Watercolor paper for my card panel.
Then I grabbed a soft, almost pastel palette of inks; Shea Butter, Clay Mask, Rose Petals, Polished, Sea Glass and Seafoam. I applied a little dab of each ink color onto a small piece of acetate, spritzed it with a little water and then applied the often spotty water blotches to my watercolor paper. I dried my paper after each application of ink. This is my end result...
It's spectacular!
Next I stamped out the big and beautiful butterfly form the "Butterfly in Bloom" stamp set and embossed with WOW Metallic Platinum embossing powder and fussy cut it out. I adhered it down along with some fun "Wintergreen Sequins" and a sentiment from the "Furthermore" stamp set using Seafoam ink.
And here's a final look at the inky color palette for this card creation...
So it's time to SHOP INKS! Almost all the ink pads and refills (some exceptions!) are now on SALE!
Happy inky shopping!
