Rainbow Possums

Happy Wednesday!  It's the last day of March!  Where did the month go??

Today I'm sharing a fun card using my sketch for Splitcoast this week, SC847:

I began my card by ink blending all of my Distress Oxide inks.  Then I cut the squares out using the MFT die and popped up every other piece.   Then I stamped my "Awesome Possums" images and coloured them up with my Copic Markers.  Here is my end result...

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.  My whole family will be home tomorrow for the next 5 days - that NEVER happens!

Go get crafty!

Lots of Hoppiness Here!

Hoppy Sunday!  Easter is only a few days away!  Have you got your Easter goodies and cards all ready for next weekend?  Cards = yes for me... but anything else = no!

I thought I'd share a few last Easter cards that I have already sent my friends and family.

For this card, I used the glorious CPD inks and blended up a "hot" sunset for Mr. Bunny from the "Spring into Easter" to deliver his treats.  I also added some simple patterned papers in black and white form the "Black Tie Gala 6x6" paper collection.

For this fun pink beauty, I just made 4 matching ink blended mini backgrounds with a little water splatter effects.  Then I layered on some simple, un-colored die cut critters and elements from that "Spring into Easter" stamp sets again. So EASY!

And finally, who doesn't love our new "Date Night Inks"?  They are perfect for a Spring color palette!

They paired up perfectly with the adorable "Spring Borders" stamp set.  Plus, I added a few fun "Williamsburg Sequins" for a pop of yellow!

TODAY is the last day for the CPD moving SALE!  Go and check out all the amazing products that are ON SALE!  Click here for the SALES PAGE.  Up to 60% savings!

I hope you have an amazing remainder of the weekend!

Happy (s)hopping!

Primary Best Friends

Happy Sunday everyone!  I played Craft Roulette again this week with Mary Gunn!

This week's 4 perimeters were:

  • Bookmark
  • Red, Blue, Yellow
  • "Best Friend"
  • Dry Embossing

Not too bad to work with! So first I chose my stamp set and I went the sweet Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps "Squishy Hugs" stamp set.  It also included some great best friend type sentiments in it!

I started by creating my card back ground using the "Summer Sunbeams" stencil and inking it up with Squeezed Lemonade, Candied Apple and Tumbled Glass Oxide inks. I then placed a Honey Bee Stamps "Polka Dots Background Stencil" over top of that stencil and added some darker Oxide inks in Scattered Straw, Barn Door and Faded Jeans.

To create my bookmark, I used a strip of white cardstock, embossed on the front side to fold over top of the card base.  It's held on by magnets and of course is detachable.  You can find the sentiment element under the bookmark.

I just love creating using the Craft Roulette program!  It gets me out of my comfort zone!

Diamonds in Distress

Howdy all and Happy Saturday!  Welcome to another fun Saturday Challenge here with Three Room Studio!

This week we are challenging you to use "Diamonds"!!  Yup... so be creative with this theme... think "bling" or a diamond shapes maybe!?!?  Or maybe try stamping and inking through a diamond shaped stencil?  The sky's the limit!

For my card I started by creating a fun Distress Oxide background and I including using a fun multi-diamond shaped stencil from my stash.  Then I stamped the little up-right fairy from the "Believe in Fairies" stamp set and cut her out using the coordinating dies set, "Believe in Fairies Die".

Not only was my stencil made using diamonds, but I added some bling and some aptly named  "Diamond" Stickles to the wings of my fairy.  How fun is that!?!?

Please take a moment to gander at some of our design team creations for today's challenge...

Craft Roulette #52 ~ Blue & Balloons!

Happy Sunday all!  Today I'm sharing my Craft Roulette card with you for this week's game.

This week's perimeters were for challenge #52 are:

  • 5x7 sized card
  • Balloon(s)
  • Blue plus 2 more colours (neutrals are okay!)
  • Pencils

So I found some cute animals from My Favorite Things celebrating a birthday to make a card for a friend's up and coming 45th birthday!  I used a number of different stamp sets; "Pawty Time", "Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes" and "Scene Builder" all by Stacey Yacula, one of my favorite stamp designers.

I used Derwent Inktense Pencils to color in all of my scene.  It was fun to use something I haven't used in awhile.

I just love creating using the Craft Roulette game!  It always gets me out of my comfort zone!

And SURPRISE... I will be one of Mary Gunn's guests!  Coming April 30th!!!  I'm so honoured and excited to join her!

This week our challenge is "CUTENESS"!  Yup.. so you can interpret that however you see fit!

I chose to the use the super CUTE "Talk to the Animals" stamp set and some ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

I did try my best to add in some of the finer details of the stamped image using Polychromos Pencils but the roughness of the paper certainly didn't help.  Oh well!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!  Now go get crafty!

Keep Swimming!

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!

I'm over on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog today for Inspiration Wednesday

This week we're featuring the "Keep Swimming" clear stamp set.

To create my card, I stamped all three images using "Wicked Black " ink. Then I masked them all off. I then cut a fun jagged mask and began ink blending with "Amazing Azure". Then I brought in the "Summer Sunbeams Stencil" and inked it up with the next darker blue ink, "Sparkling Sapphire". Then I bought in an even darker blue, "Stormy Sky" ink and inked the edges and also added a small bit of the "Rocky Road Stencil". I also added a light touch of "Lovely Lagoon" ink too.

If you don't have this super sweet set in your KKS collection this is your opportunity to scoop it up at a very special SALE price of 40% OFF!! The sale only lasts for one week so don't delay!

Club Canvo - Using Those Mini Stamps

Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm creating with mini stamps!

The small image stamps are some of my favorite stamps to work with in my Canvo bullet journal.  For this weekly spread for April, I used all the fun "stone" and "bloom" mini stamps from my Club Canvo subscription.

I had a ball building all the patches of fun images across this spread.

I hope you too enjoy stamping in your Canvo.   Thanks for dropping by!

Club Canvo - Full Calendar Fishes

It's Tuesday!  Time for more Club Canvo spreads for April!

I had a blast creating spreads with the gorgeous koi fish and accessories from the March Club Canvo subscription.

I used my favorite calendar stencil, "Full Calendar Stencil" to create my basic calendar spread.

For my first full week in April, I used the amazing new stencil in the subscription called the "Skipping Stones Stencil".  I actually traced the stencil onto some masking paper and cut out all the circles to create a negative mask and then ink blended them all those beautiful green and blue inks.

All of these Club Canvo products will be hitting the CP shop soon!  Including a coordinating die for the "Koi Pond" stamp set; perfect for card making.

Join me again tomorrow for more Club Canvo fun!
