Over on the myStampBOX blog today, we're showcasing a variety of fun projects made by the entire mSB team. I hope you stop over and take a gander at what each design team member has created.
For me, I wanted to showcase a set of stamps that I have wanted to dabble with lately. The "Symbols" set is just packed with so many cute little shapes and images that I couldn't resist making a few cards to share with you today.
So I created three fun cards for you using this cute set...
supplies: stamps, myStampBOX; patterned papers, paper ribbon, BasicGrey; cardstock, Core'dinations, Bazzill; ink, Ranger; tools, Cuttlebug embossing folder; ribbon, American Crafts; tool, Klic N'Kut; other, thread.
You're So Sweet
For this card I cut out some cute little rounded corner squares on my Klic N'Kut machine and then stamped the fun "sweet" images on them. The greeting on the card is from the "Mention It" stamp set. I used some of the wonderful 3D foam adhesive circles by Helmar, one of our Preferred Partners to pop up the 4 squares.
Happy Day
I wanted a very simple birthday card this time so I Versamarked some black cardstock circles and then added some white embossing powder to it. I even added a touch of colour using my Copic markers to each image and then topped it with some super fine glitter.
Miss You
For my final card, I wanted a card that would indicate a kind of "call me" type greeting. So I stamped the little cell phone inside the circle border and added some fine glitter. I added the numbers from the "Review Time" stamp set and the greeting from the "Small Greetings - Small Box" stamp set. I used some fabulous Black Magic cardstock from our product partner, Core'dinations on this one! I embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then sanded it to get the pink core to show through.
Now it's time to check out what the rest of the myStampBOX team has created to showcase today... check it out here!!!

Purple Pennants!
It's time to share another Mission to Create card!
We have the lovely Mara-May joining the Mission to Create team this week for Mission 0024! You can check out Mara-May's blog here for lots of fabulous inspiration!
This week's mission was to:
I managed to use each concept this week within my card:
Purple Pennants
supplies: stamps, myStamp BOX ("Pennants" - soon to be released!); patterned paper, Graphic45; cardstock, Gina K. Designs; flowers, Prima; pearls, Kaisercrafts; edge punch, Marctha Stewart; ink, Stampin' Up!; tag die, Cuttlebug; other, thread, ribbon.
I cut out the 2 layers of the banner pieces separately. I stamped my distressed line banner image from the soon-to-be-released stamp set, "Pennants" from myStampBOX on the plain triangle and then adhered it to the same colour of scalloped banner piece to add depth. I poped each piece up with foam tape for a more detailed card front.
Make sure you come and check out this week's mission and what my fellow card team has done with it.
Thanks for stopping by!

Popcorn Anyone?
It's Saturday... time for a fabulous sketch at WeScrap!
This week was Victoria's turn to share a sketch. You can see her sketch here and my turn to create a fun page with it. Here's what I did with Victoria's sketch...
Going 2 the Movies
supplies: patterned papers, BasicGrey, Bo Bunny; cardstock, Bazzill; inks, Copic, Stampin' Up!; letter stickers, Basic Grey; transparencies; Tattered Angels; die cut film strip, Tim Holtz by Sizzix; other, theater ticket, straw, thread.
I created my popcorn by taking a scrap piece of cream paper and adding some Liquid Applique to it. I let it dry and then used my heat gun to make it puff up and expand. Then I took some buttery yellow ink and dabbed it randomly over the fluffy mess and cut out popcorn shaped pieces.
Voila... buttery popcorn for your movie!
Come and check out the WeScrap Sketchy Saturdays. We give prizes to those people who participate each month.

Mark Your Calendars!
It's Thursday... time for a new creative prompt! This week, the lovely Debbi has posted a cool photo for the entire Creative Crew at Creative Prompts 4U to work with. You can see Debbi's inspirational photo here.
For me, I took inspiration from all kinds of aspects of the prompt this week. I liked the texture of the piece of striped ribbon so I used some corrugated paper. I liked the overall design so I used it like I would a sketch. I also liked the script paper in the drops so I used some script paper in my layout. Here's my final page...
He's So Charming
supplies: patterned papers, Crate Paper, 7Gypsies; cardstock, Bazzill; corrugated paper, Creative Imaginations; stickers, die cuts, Crate Paper; trim, Prima; pearl, Kaisercrafts; button, BasicGrey; twine, Stampin' Up!; mists, Tattered Angels; ink, Copic, Memento; other, thread, date stamp, ribbon.
Here's a close up of the date tag and stamp to the right of my matted photo.
Originally the title was "She's So Charming" so I trimmed off the "S" and it fit my title and page perfectly!
Come and check out what the rest of my fellow Creative Crew did with Debbi's challenge this week... here! We have an AMAZING prize from Uspy Daisy Designs for September too! Come and check it out!

Gettin' to Know Me...
1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?
Nope... I don't blog anonymously. I do however try to never comment or post in a negative manner. I figure no one really wants my opinion anyways so if I have something negative to say, I'd rather not say it all!
2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
I do have a stubborn side sometimes but usually only my immediately family see that side of me.
3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the face in the mirror?
Honestly... I see someone who is completely uncomfortable with myself. I just can't get a handle on being happy with my appearance most days... mostly a weight issue. I really want to be okay with my body image but honestly I'm really not. I think most women struggle with very same inner voice.
4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
I'm all for something sweet... like Canada Dry Gingerale or Nestea Iced Tea.
5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
Time for myself, what is that? LOL! Generally if I'm having a good day it will be some kind of exercise but typically is an afternoon by myself at home at my scrappy desk.
6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
This is a struggle for me but I've always wanted to work in the health field but I ended up going the food direct in life. I would like to go back to school for nursing but I don't think it will ever happen. I have *almost* resigned myself to the fact that I will never fulfill that dream.
7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the class shy person, or always ditching school? Describe who you were if not one of these.
Hmmm... I was a mix of the class nerd and the shy gal. I never made a huge amount of friends but the friends I did make were life long friendships.
8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what do you see?
August 5th 1993.... over and over in my mind. No details to give.... sorry!
9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
To a certain extent it is but I tend to stick to details of events and happenings more than digging into my inner self. It's hard to share my inner thoughts with others who no nothing about the real me. There are only a few people that know the real me; the reason why I am the way I am.
10. If you had the choice to sit and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
I would sit and read. I am NOT a phone person. I would prefer to read a book instead.
Hmmm, now who to tag. How about Sarah and Sue.

Sketches and Sports!
It's Friday! Yippee!
Today is a sketch day for me at Let's Capture These Sketches blog. This week's sketch was designed by Tara. And Tara's challenge this week was to create your own embellishment. You can see Tara's sketch here.
Here is the page I made using Tara's sketch:
Mini Soccer
The soccer ball cut out was designed and cut on my Klic N'Kut machine. Then I machine stitched all the white lines on it to define the shapes on the ball.
For my embellishment, I created my own ruffles using paper. I added this cute little heart button from My Little Bit of Whimsy!
Come and check out this week's sketch and challenge. We're giving away a gift certificate to the Let's Capture These Memories store! Come and play with us!
