A Peek at the Poppies

Happy Monday everyone! I once again had to get into my scrappy space with the house being empty this morning and have a little quiet creative time.

This morning I've been creating Flourishes "Timeless Tuesday" challenge from this passing week.  This week's challenge is all about Bingo!  This challenge is just like playing Bingo except you create a card using the items listed in the rows (horizontally, diagonally or vertically).

Here's the challenge Bingo card for this week:

I used the last row; "Blue", "Flowers" & "Emboss" to create my card for the challenge.

Pretty Poppies

supplies:  stamps, Flourishes, Papertrey Ink;  cardstock, Flourishes, Bazzill;  pattern papers, Fancy Pants Designs;  brad, Creative Charms;  twine, Darice;  embossing folder, Cuttlebug;  inks, Memento, Versamark, Ranger, Copic;  other, UTEE.

Steps to creating my stamped image:
  1. Stamp the Flourishes poppy images using black Memento ink.
  2. Mask off each poppy.
  3. Air brush the background using my Copic air brush.
  4. Stamp the Papertrey Ink mediallions using Ranger's "Spiced Marmalade" ink.
  5. Stamp the script writing along the edge using Memento ink.
  6. Versamark the entire stamped image and cover repeatedly with UTEE.  Heat with heat gun.
  7. Emboss the left side with an embossing folder.  Reheat embossed area to melt slightly.
Here's a close up of the embossed edge of my card...

I hope you all have a great Monday!

A Flock of Fun!

I have been having a grand time today creating with one of myStamp BOX's new stamp sets, "Warm Tweets".  On this super cute little set there are a variety of feathered friends to work with.

Have a Great Bird-Day!

For the above card I die cut out a chape and then created the little scene using the "Warm Tweets" and the "Tree for All Seasons" stamp sets.

Hugs!
Supplies:  stamps, myStamp BOX;  cardstock, Papertrey Ink;  embossing powder, Stampendous!  inks,Memento, Ranger, Copic, Versamark;  gems, KaiserCarft;  die cut shapes, Spellbinders;  other, Stickles.

For my "Hugs!" card, I used some clear Versamark ink and clear embossing powder to create a subtle background of snowflakes from the "Let It Snow" stamp set, over the cream rustic paper.  Then I die cut a focal circle and stamped the little birdie perched on an evergreen branch.  The sweet little branches are from the "Holiday Monkey" stamp set.  The "Hugs!" sentiment is from the "O Christmas Tree" stamp set.

Thanks

Supplies:  stamps, myStamp BOX;  cardstock, Papertrey Ink;  inks,Memento, Ranger, Copic;  embossing plate,, Spellbinder;  die cutting tool, Klic N'Kut machine;  glaze pen, Sakura.

For this card I die cut a "THANKS" title using my Klic N'Kut die cutting machine and then backed it with a strip of inked white paper using my Ranger Distress Inks.  I coloured my funky little feathered friends using Copic markers and added some glossy accents using my Glaze Pen.

I hope you've enjoyed meeting my fine little feathered friends today!  Make sure you check out this sweet stamp set by myStamp BOX, "Warm Tweets".

I sold my restaurant business at the beginning of the month and so I am back to being a Stay-at-home Mom again and it feels GOOD!  So in order to get right back into crafting I thought I'd start back with one of my favs...  a sketch!

The sketch I took inspiration from is Sketch 48 from the Deconstructed Jen blog.

Here is what I did with the sketch...
