My favourite TTC challenge this past year was FTTC189, it was the THINK PINK challenge!  And here is the card that I created for that challenge...

Pink Poises
This week I used a variety of fun stamps to create my card.  For my focal image I started by stamping the large bouquet from the "Summer Blossoms" on to Flourishes Classic White Cardstock using Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink.
To create the pink back ground behind the lattice and also the strip of pink paper across my card, I used the stamps, "I Love Roses" and the "Sweet Nature" stamp sets to create a subtle tone on tone back ground.

To add some shine, I added some Glossy Accents to my flower centers as seen below...

For my focal image, I used a variety of fun Copic colours...

Here are the Flourishes Copic Collections which I used...

Christmas Card Assembly Line!

Happy Thursday everyone! One of the last little bits of non-holiday life is coming to a halt.  Tomorrow is my son's last day of school before the holidays so I spent today making some of the last Christmas cards for some of the people in my son's life; his 2 teachers, his principal and his bus driver.

I started off by cutting my card bases out using my Klic N'Kut machine.  I used a previous card base design that I had already designed to create my card shape.

Then I cut out 4 different card fronts using 4 different patterned papers form Fancy Pants Designs, the "Home for Christmas" collection. I cut 2 strips of different patterned papers and stitched them on to my card fronts.

Then I cut out the small bough shape using the Flourishes "Poinsettia and Pine SVG Cut File" from the same cardstock as my card bases and stamped the small boughs from the actual "Poinsettia and Pine" stamp set on to each shape using green ink. SUPER QUICK and EASY!  No fussy cutting... it's all done for you!!!
Using my Klic N'Kut machine, I then designed a tag that specifically fit my greeting from the Flourishes "Winter Bouquets" stamp set and stamped my greetings using dark brown ink.

Then I wrapped all of the cards using either twine or thin ribbon and adhered my tags and my little holly boughs.

Sure makes it easy when you cut 4 of everything.  I'm going to have to remember to do this next year too!  It worked out so well and SO quick!  Are you ready for Christmas yet???

Supplies:
stamps: Flourishes (Winter Bouquets, Poinsettia & Pine)
cardstock: Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream
patterned papers: Fancy Pants Designs
cut files: Flourishes SVG Cut Files
inks: Stampin' Up!, Memento, Ranger
tool: Klic N Kut
ribbon: Offray
twine: Darice
accessories: thread.

This week's fabulous card sketch was designed by myself.

Sketch #43

Here's my card using my sketch and our second PINspired Colour Challenge...

From Our Family To Yours

For my card today, I stamped my gorgeous wreath from the Flourishes "Christmas Wreath" stamp collection (now retired) on to Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock using my favourite black ink, Memento's "Tuxedo Black". Then I coloured my image using a variety of reds and orange tones of Copic markers. I fussy cut the entire image out and then inked the edges using Ranger "Scattered Straw" Distress Ink.  I finished my card off with my stamped sentiment, also from the Flourishes "Christmas Wreath" stamp collection.

In the end I wasn't quite sure I was going to like the colours for a holiday card but I think they turned out pretty cool looking!  Don't you think?

Timeless Tuesday ~ Non-Traditional Holiday!

Howdy everyone!  I'm your hostess this week.  Are you counting the days until the holidays yet?  I know I sure am.  Now, let's get started with our 199th Timeless Tuesday Challenge!

This week's challenge is to create a holiday card or project where you use non-traditional festive colors (FTTC199).  So  NO green or red on your creations this week!  It's indeed, as simple as that!  Why not try creating a holiday card using orange and bluePink and purple?  Or even simple black and white.  Let's see you get creative this week everyone!

Here is my simple holiday card this week...

Merry & Bright

I began by creating my card base using Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock.  Then I loaded some more ivory cardstock into my electronic die cutting machine and I cut out the large poinsettia shape using my Poinsettia & Pine SVG Cut File (also available in the Silhouette Cut File version HERE.).

I inked up my large poinsettia from the "Poinsettia & Pine" stamp collection using Memento "Summer Sky" ink and stamped it onto my cut shape.  I then stamped another poinsettia using the same ink and fussy cut just the poinsettia image out.

I took a fabulous piece of light blue cardstock from the Flourishes "Color Made Easy"~ "True Blue" cardstock collection, rounded two of my corners and embossed my design.  I stitched it onto another slightly larger piece of Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock and added it to my card base.  I stamped my greeting using the "Merry & Bright" sentiment from the "Poinsettia & Pine" stamp collection.  And volia... a simple holiday card was born!

Don't forget... to participate in this week's release week challenge, the "Let's Hop Challenge".  It's a super fun progressive challenge and YOU could win some of the AMAZING new December release stamp sets!!!

PINspired Colour Challenge and a Card Sketch!

Howdy everyone!  Time for another fabulous card sketch! For December, we'll be sharing not only a card sketch... it will be a card sketch PLUS a PINinspired Colour Challenge!!!!  So this month you'll have a sketch and a colour challenge every Wednesday!

This week's fabulous card sketch was designed by Kimberly Figures.

Sketch #42

Here's my card using Kimberly's sketch and our first PINspired Colour Challenge..

 Merry Christmas
For my card today, I used Flourishes "Color Made Easy" cardstock from the Crocus Collection.  I used the "Snow Day" stamp collection to add a "stitched sweater" pattern to my punched edge Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock.  My greeting is from the "Naturally Merry" stamp collection.

To achieve my silver snowflakes, I first die cut the 2 layers of the Spellbinder's snowflake shapes and then inked them up with Versamark ink and sprinkled silver embossing powder over top.  I carefully melted the powder using my heat tool.  I used some pretty silver jewel brads to hold my 2 layers together.

Timeless Tuesday ~ Altered Holidays

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Time for another fabulous Timeless Tuesday Challenge over at Flourishes!

This week the lovely, Amanda Havon, is challenging us to...
Create anything that isn't a card for Christmas
(Decoration, A Treat Item, A Banner, A Gift, etc.)
FTTC198

I decided to create a couple of new ornaments for my Christmas tree.  Here is how I created them...

Step One:
First I took a large amount of white clay in my hands.  I used a soft Premier Light Weight Stone Clay for my project today.  I carefully molded it into a ball to bring all the rough edges together.  Then I pressed it out onto my craft mat and rolled it thinner and flatter.

Step Two:
Then I took the pine cone image from the "Naturally Merry" stamp set and inked it up using Memento "Black Tuxedo" Ink and pressed the image into the clay.

Step Three:
I took my craft knife and carefully cut around my image and also punched out a hole at the top.  I created two more ornaments; a holly ornament using the holly image from the "Naturally Merry" stamp set and another ornament using the "Petals and Peace" stamp collection.

Step Four:
Then I put them on a cookie sheet and put them in a 200 degree oven until they were dried out.  I allowed them to cool and then I coloured them using Copic markers.

Holly Bough
I finished off my holly image with a pretty double bow using some red glitter ribbon and Flourishes "Color Made Easy" ribbon collection in Basque Red.

Pine Cone
To finish off my pine cone ornament I tied a few bows using jute twine and some baker twine.  I tied a star charm and single silver bell on using some Flourishes Metallic Silver String.

 Christmas Roses
To finish off my Christmas roses, I tied a cream ribbon and then added a wooden button with jute twine and a pair of mini gold bells.
