Sending You Clover Wishes

Happy Friday everyone!  It’s time to share Power Poppy’s newest digital stamp that was released yesterday.  This little beauty is called “Wish You Luck” and it features a sentiment and this beautiful bouquet of clover!  Awww!

I hadn’t done an easel style card in a very long time so I knew that was going to be the beginnings of my card.  Initially it was supposed to be a circular card but I ended up making it square instead.  Here's the front panel...

I coloured my digital image using Copic Markers and added a touch of shimmer to a few of the leaves with a clear Wink of Stella pen.
Copics: BV000, BV00, BV01, E42, E43, G20, G21, G24, G28, Y02, Y17, YG01

I just love the end result!

Power Poppy: Folk Heart

Howdy everyone!  Welcome to Day 2 of the newest Power Poppy release.

Today’s new stamp set is called Folk Heart

For my card today, I chose to use the paper tole technique. You can see an example of this technique here.
Copic's used: BG10, BG11, BG13, V22, V25, YG01, YG03

If you look closely, the majority of the flowers have been cut out, sculpted and rounded and then adhered over top of their original positions in the image.

I’ve also added some sheer sparkle on some of the aspects of my blooms…

Power Poppy: Planning for Magnolias

Howdy all!  Welcome to Day One of our five day Power Poppy reveal!  For the next five days you are going to be blessed with blooms, encouraging words, Spring blessings, lots of blooms and some folky fun!

To start off this release we have our first clear stamp reveal today of… Planning for Magnolias!

This stamp set entails a variety of stunning Magnolia images including this sweet little planner with a Magnolia bloom laid across it…

I wanted to keep my card very simple and just have fun with some soft Copic colours today.  I first laid down all of my back ground colours and used some Copic Blender solution and a soft piece of washcloth to give it the dabbled, spotty look.
Copic Markers: 0, BG10, BG11, BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV01, BV31, R12, R20, Y000, Y00, YG11, YR000, YR00, YR01

Sending Hugs Your Way

TGIF everyone!  I’m here along with some of the Bloom Brigade gals from Power Poppy today to share some card & colouring love with you!

Don’t forget to play along with the latest (and greatest!) Power & Spark Challenge this month.   It’s an easy one too!  All you have to do is colour using a medium that you haven’t used in awhile… yup… as simple as that.  To check out all the challenge deets, click hereOh… and you don’t need a Power Poppy image to play along BUT if you’d like to give one a whirl right away, then check out all the amazing digital options here.

Today I was inspired to create a VERY simple card using the spotlight technique.

First I took a panel of water colour paper and stamped my image in a grey ink and then took it to my Big Shot and cut the frame out.  I took just the inner panel from the frame and used my inexpensive Yarka semi-moist water colours to paint on the colour and voila….
My card features the stunning "Daffodils" stamp set and that sweet little sentiment is included!

Here’s a close up my card.  I actually popped up the frame using 2 more die cuts of thick water colour paper to boost it up.

Now, off you go and check out what the amazing Bloom Brigade has put together for you today…
