Scrap 'N Stamp ~ Christmas in July Hop

Welcome to the Scrap 'N Stamp Christmas in July Blog Hop!

Today's card features an interactive card today!  I used the adorable Echo Park "It's a Wonderful Christmas" stamp and die set.  I stamped my snowmen with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in using Copic Markers.

For the sentiment I used CP Be Mine ink and Something Borrowed ink for the snowflakes.  I die cut everything using the corresponding dies.

Next I created my rocking half circle card base by using my large circle die leaving the fold in the center of the circle.

I die cut a piece of Craft Consortium "Ink Drops - Ocean" patterned paper to lay on the semi circle card base.  I also added a piece of Silver Glitter Cardstock under the blue patterned paper circle.

I used some watercolor powders to create a piece of cardstock with tones of blue.  I die cut the shape using a MFT "Stitch Rounded Arch Dies" and also a few pieces of torn edged vellum to add to the bottom of the shape.

I used the Echo Park "Wintertime Sky Stencil" and added some Embossing Paste snowflakes across the back.

Check out why this card is so fun.... it rocks...

I'm posting this early so I don't have a direct link to the next person.  Please visit the Scrap 'N Stamp blog for the next person on the list.

This week, Krafty Girl Melanie is your hostess and her challenge theme for you is:   GLITTER!

My Mom is going in for knee surgery next week so I thought I'd create a fun card for her since I can't be there for her. I grabbed my "Love Bugs" stamp set and some Wicked Black ink and set to work...

The little flap on the top of the card holds it closed using a thin magnet.

When you open the card, the center has a pop out center with lots of glittery elements!

I added glitter to the centers of my flowers and on the heart dots of my little lady bugs.

More glitter...

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!  The monthly prize is a $25 voucher to the Krafty shop!!! There are two ways to enter: you can link up your creation on the  Kraftin’ Kimmie blog page and

You're the Cream to My Coffee!

Good morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!  Are you ready for another fun and krafty challenge to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing?  We've got some fabulous ideas for you and can't wait to see what you create!

This week, I'm your hostess and my challenge theme for you is:

LOVE!

With Valentine's only days away, I thought the theme of "LOVE" was most appropriate for this week's challenge theme.

I chose to make a Valentine for one of my favourite people... one of my fellow Scout leaders. She and I became friends over campfires and coffee. Since I have moved 2 hours away, we don't spend as much time together as we used to but we always make time to visit!

I made this card for her featuring the "You Complete Me" stamp set. I stamped the adorable gals using "Granite Grey" ink to match the greys in my patterned papers. I also added a few "Pastel Dots" as well.

I stamped my simple sentiment from the same stamp set inside me card. As you can see, this card contains a simple pocket for a gift card.

Coffee and Floral Birthday

It's time for another fun challenge over on the Three Room Studio blog!

This week, as the challenge hostess, I'm challenging you to create a card or project using patterned papers!

I needed a birthday card for someone special so I decided to go with a coffee and floral theme so I grabbed the "Awesome Coffee" and "Mom's Hibiscus" stamp sets plus the "Yay!" stamp set for my sentiments.

I used my patterned paper to paper piece my coffee cup band and all my hibiscus flowers.  I love how the added designs add a nice effect to all my stamped images.

I hope you'll join us for my challenge!

Have a great weekend!

World Card Making Day with Power Poppy!

Happy World Card Making Day everyone!  Let’s start they day off with a fun challenge from Power Poppy!

Today’s WCMD challenge is to create a card that we LOVE to send!  Me…. I think my all time favourite cards to send out are Christmas cards.  Yes… I know it’s only October but Alberta is already celebrating winter… we received 5 inches of snow the other day!  Craziness right?!?!

So I chose to make a few brand new Christmas cards to share with you today.

First off, I chose to make a relatively easy card first featuring the sweet little chickadee image from the “Tweet Tidings” stamp set released last year.
I kept the design simple.  I think this card would be very easily repeatable if you love to make multiples to send out of your cards.

Next I went a wee bit more complicated with a fun interactive sentiment card.  I used the Lawn Fawn’s new Reveal Wheel die to create this little fella. On the front I have that adorable little snowman from the “Snow Kissed” stamp set.
If you turn the little wheel peeking out on the right hand side, you reveal a total of 4 different sentiments!  The sentiments are from “Merry Littles” and “Bottlebrush Holiday”.  So super cute!

And lastly, I went even more interactive and made a Double Slider card.  This unsuspectingly little square features the little images of the “Cozy Cupfuls” stamp collection.

When you pull on the two tab openings, you reveal even more images and fun sentiments!  I just love playing with cards like these.

In addition to sharing some fun cards today, we also have a great Power Poppy Shop COUPON to share.

Now…
Christine Okken – go here!

Thanks for joining us today!  Happy creating!
