Season's Greenings!

 

It's Day 3 of the Power Poppy's "12 Days of Christmas" challenge!  To find out all the details, you can visit Day One on the Power Poppy blog!

Today I'm sharing a card featuring the festive "Season's Greenings" stamp set.  I stamped my image in Wicked Black ink and then colored it up using my Copic Markers.

To create my background, I first embossed my cardstock with a cover plate die.  Then I added lots of sticky embossing ink and WOW's Metallic Platinum Embossing Powder and heat set it.

It was super fun to make!  I hope you have a fabulous Thursday!

Quiet Christmas: Joy to the World Bouquet

 

Happy Monday everyone!  Today is the final day of reveals for the "Quiet Christmas" collection for Power Poppy.

Our final stamp for the collection is this stunning bouquet... the "Joy to the World Bouquet" stamp set!  This was an absolute joy to color too!

I used a combination of Copic Markers and Polychromos Pencils to color up this beauty.

Heavenly Peace Dove

 

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today is the final day of the first part of the Quiet Christmas Collection from Power Poppy.

The sneak peeks for the second part of the collection will begin on November 12th.

 Today we are sharing projects with this amazing stamp set... Heavenly Peace Dove is it's name.

I chose to add the elegant banner and sentiment across my Dove and olive branches.  I just love the look of this element of the stamp set.

I chose an unconventional color palette for my card today; peach and a dark cranberry color.  I colored my entire image with Copic Markers and I used my Blender Marker (#0) to add some spotty details to my peachy background.

TGIF everyone!  It's been a long time coming and today is Day 1 of the newest Power Poppy collections!  Today begins the reveal of the Quiet Christmas collection!  This collection is made up of 2 parts; we will be revealing 10 stamp & digi sets between now and mid November.  We will start with 5 stamp sets this week and then our final 5 sets beginning on November 12th.

I'm here today to share a fun card I sent one of my PenPals this month.  It features this beautiful Fall floral scape on it from the "Fortunes of Fall" stamp set by Power Poppy.

 

 

I used the beautiful "Lattice Frame Die" from Catherine Pooler Designs as my frame for the flowers.

 

Here is the card opened up.  The sentiment strip actually holds the card closed with a magnet.

Healing Bouquet

 

Today is day 2 of the Fresh-Squeezed Scents Collection for Power Poppy.

Today we share another amazing spray of fruit and flowers... called "Healing Bouquet".

I chose to make a fun slimline card featuring two sprays put together.

I coloured everything in Copic Markers and then used my Polychromos Pencils to add depth and shading.  I loved colouring up this image!!

Happy Thursday everyone!  Over at Power Poppy, Marcella is releasing two new beautiful digital stamp sets!  This mini collection is called the "Fresh-Squeezed Scent Collection".

Today we are sharing the stunning new "Aloe & Oranges" digital stamp set! Isn't this display of fruit and plants cool?

I used Copic Markers to color in the base of the image and then I used Polychromos Pencils to add in some of the details and darken the "nooks and crannies" as they say!

Lots of Layers of Love

Happy Friday everyone!  Finally… after a few days off, I’m back in the swing of creating again.

What inspired me this week is the beginning of Kathy Racoosin’s newest Coloring Challenge Road Trip Online Edition course offered on the Online Card Classes website.

So in the course Kathy talks and shares all kinds of great tips and tricks to get you out of your head and get some ink on the paper.  And for me, I just needed a good refresher of why I LOVE what I do.

So today's card was inspired by this fun course.

Without further adieu, I used the glorious “Strong and Beautiful” clear stamp set from Power Poppy to create today’s card.

I used an initial layer of Copic Markers but then added a TON of coloured pencil detail to the image…

This card panel took MANY hours to achieve it's final look but they were all layers of love!
