A "Saturday" on a Sunday
It's Sunday and I'm playing along with the layout ladies over at Mission to Create this week! This week's concepts are:
Deborah - use a day of the week in your title
Jocie - use newspaper
Nicole - stitch a frame around photo(s)
Vanessa - use pearls or something creamy white
Tonya - red, aqua, pink and orange

Here's my layout using all five concepts...
Saturday
supplies: stamps, myStamp BOX; patterned paper, stickers, die cut shapes; Crate Paper; twine, The Twinery; ink, Memento, Copic, Stampin' Up!, Ranger; pearls, Hero Arts; cardstock, Prism; glaze pen, Sakura; other, thread.
Here's a close up of my pearls on my snowflake die cut shape...
For my title I traced the circle on some scraps of white cardstock and then I stamped each individual letter from my myStamp BOX alphabet stamp set, "Funky Alphabet" along the curve. Once stamped, I cut around the images and then used my Copic airbrush to colour them with an orange and pink Copic. I used my Sakura glaze pen to add a bit of polish to the letters!
If you peak through the circle, you can see I also stamped the date using my "Mini Alpha" stamp set. I used the "20" on the printed page as part of my date: November 20. All the pretty snowflakes are part of the "Let It Snow" stamp set.
Come and join the Mission to Create team for your chance to win our prize package for this month.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American readers today!

Last December, I had the honour of being a guest designer for Melanie Muenchinger over at Gina K. Designs. Melanie designs stamp sets for Gina K. and every once and awhile Melanie asks her previous guest designers to help her out.
I had the honour of guest designing with Mel's "Hand-in-Hand" stamp set. This set is so versatile. It features a variety of whimsical hand images and coordinating greetings and sentiments.

A Friend Is...
Supplies: stamps, Gina K. Designs (Hand in Hand, Very Merry Christmas); cardstock, Gina K. Designs, Bazzill; glitter glue, inks, Ranger; ink, Copic, Memento, Versamark; flowers, Prima; embossed tag, Provocraft; die cut circles, Spellbinder's; pearls, Hero Arts; other, thread, ribbon.
For my card I first die cut and embossed a simple circle of white Gina K. Designs "Pure Luxury" cardstock and stamped my hands using a beige Memento ink. I coloured my image using my Copic markers.
To make my green back ground, I used some other Gina K. stamps called A Very Merry Christmas to stamp in Versamark and then clear embossing powder was applied and heat set. I rubbed some glorious Distress Inks over it to reveal the embossed design.
I dry embossed a tag using a Provocraft embossing folder and then inked and distressed the edges. The sentiment is from Melanie's "Hand in Hand" stamp set as well.
Come and join me on Melanie's blog and just check out some of her incredible stamps and creations! This card is being featured on her blog today!

I Challenge You!
It's my turn to post a monthly iTeam challenge over at WeScrap. I chose to post a card challenge this month.

I used my glorious Winter Flakes stamp set to create a emboss resist. All I did was stamp my snowfalke images on the white & red font patterned paper using Versamark ink and embossed the image using clear embossing powder. I then used my green Distress Ink from Ranger to make the snowflake image appear.
The stamped greeting is from the small stamp set, Small Greetings.
Come and join me and the remaining iTeam members and play along for a chance to WIN a WeScrap kit of your very own!

Butterflies, Bells and Bows
Mission #29 is up at Mission to Create! This week's card mission was to combine all these elements:
Deborah: use an item from the $ store
Jocie: use a tree
Nicole: rolled paper pieces
Vanessa: at least 3 butterflies
Karola: twine
supplies: butterfly stamps; myStamp BOX; cardstock, Coredinations, Prism; image stamp, Flourishes; patterned paper, Crate Paper; ink, Versamark, Memento, Copic; embossing powder, Hero Arts; gems, Dollarama; twine, The Twinery; embossing folder, Provocraft; other, thread.Karola: twine
Here's the card I came up with this week...
The butterflies are kind of hidden. I stamped my myStamp BOX butterfly images from the Colorful Companions set using Versamark and then embossed them with clear embossing powder. I inked around the images and then fussy cut the whole thing out.
Come and check out what my fellow card team members did with this week's challenges.
