Totally Tag-o-licious!

Happy Saturday!  Come and join all the Krafty Krew over at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps for the newest Saturday Challenge.

This week’s challenge is all about TAGS!

For my tag today I wanted to use some fun Christmas stamps so I found the adorable “Santa Paws” stamp set to use.  I also used some fun snowflake stamps from the “Perky Penguins” stamp set.

I also had fun using the “Sweater Weather Stencil” and the “Sparkling Snowflakes Stencil”.  I decided to keep my colour scheme simple so I limited my use of inks to only Creamy Caramel, Sparkling Sapphire, Lovely Lagoon and a bit of Totally Taupe ink.  I also added some fun “Underwater Dots” too in coordinating colours.

Don’t forget to check out the Frugal Friday Deals too!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you join us for the challenge this week!

Just Bee-cause

Happy Friday!  I decided to go BLUE  and simple today!  I was inspired to create with the delicate “Bee Kind Toile” stamp set from Power Poppy.

For my first card I decided to keep the design symmetric so I used my MISTI tool and I used all the symmetrical images.  To have the sentiment and blue band match, I used the same colour of ink.

For my second card I used the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder Template to create my patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

You've Got Mail!

Happy Friday all!  I'm Allison Cope and today we're going to play with a few different digital stamps.  I wanted to use the adorable "Snailmail" digi but I wanted my little snail to have some adorable companions so I found I few other digital images that had envelopes in their hands.  I found the owl with the letter in the "December/January 2016-2017 Digital Bundle" and also the cute "Monster Holding Letter".

I also wanted to share a bit about how I created my image in my editing software.  I use a very old version of PhotoShop, CS3.  If you are not familiar with it or it's out of your price range, try downloading and use the "GIMP" program.  There are tons of YouTube videos to help you learn all about the program plus it's FREE!

Now, come and join me in my craftroom and learn all about how I made this card!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsPgBcaAP2E

Here's another look at the final card!

Aren't my little letter carriers adorable?

Now, go and visit the Gerda Steiner Designs shop!  There's a sale going on right now too... TODAY's the final day to take advantage of it!
Happy shopping and creating!

Halloween Kiddos

Happy Thursday!  Everyone needs that non-scary Halloween card for someone special!  So instead of creating a scary card, try making a whimsical one instead.

For my card I used the adorable witch and tiger trick-or-treaters from the “Halloween Kids Digital Stamp Bundle”.  This digital stamp bundle by Gerda Steiner Designs has a ton of Halloween digital images plus images to make a spooky scene too!

I colored in my kiddos with Polychromos Pencils and then added a soft Wilted Violet Distress Oxide back drop.  So simple and not scary at all!

Hope you too get a chance to create this week!

We're Bursting with Excitement!

Today is the day that Catherine Pooler Designs is offering up her newest product to the shop!

It’s the new Carnival Color Bursts!
New to Color Bursts… no problem!  Check out Catherine’s video all about the new product HERE.

Plus Catherine has a new awesome stamp, die and stencil collection called “Unsinkable! ”.  It’s a nautical themed release with is AH-mazing!

I got to play around a little bit with that new collection too! I chose to use the “Refuse to Sink” and it’s coordinating dies, “Refuse to Sink Dies”. For the first card I used Juniper Mist, Stone Blue, Green Tea, Eucalyptus and Polished inks.

I took that cool anchor stamp and kissed it to the “Woodgrain Background” stamp with a slightly darker ink on it.  The anchors came out so cool!

I used Mint to Be and Aquatini inks for the anchor on the second card.

For the third card, I used the “Salt and Seaweed” 6x6 patterned papers from the collection and the “Vitamin Sea” stamp set.  For this card I used Juniper Mist and Green Tea inks.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you’re getting creative today!

MFT Camp Create ~ Awesome Ombre

So for the final challenge of Camp Create 2019 over at My Favorite Things, this challenge was to create some kind of ombre effect on your card or project.

I decided to follow the color scheme of a recent card I had posted (here) and use a pink ombre of Distress Oxide inks… soooo pretty!

I stamped each of my little bear images from the “Joyful Heart Bears” stamp set, masked off each stamped image and then blended the smooth oxide inks over my back ground.

I kept my coloring fairly simple and limited to just pinks, reds, whites and a pop of turquoise for a tiny pop of color. I even added some tiny speckles of gold!

And that concludes the 5 cards I created for the Camp Create 2019 event!  I was just so inspired to create the last 24 hours so I just went for it!

Thanks for stopping by!  I’d love to know your favourite?

~ Ally ~

Stamps: MFT (Joyful Heart Bears)
Cardstock: Recollections (110# White)
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Distress Oxides (Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries), Versafine, Copic Markers
Embossing Powder: Ink on 3 (Arctic White)
Paint: Fine Tec (Bronze)

MFT Camp Create ~ Monochromatic Magic

For the My Favorite Things Camp Create 2019, challenge #4 is all bout creating with only one color!  Yup, this project had to be monochromatic!

This one I had to think a little bit about so I went strolling through my MFT stamps and came across the sweet little cowboy & cowgirl images from the “Saddle Up & Celebrate” stamp set.  Perfect!  I thought a brown or sepia color scheme would work perfectly for this card!

I kept the card design simple to show off the monotone image.

That’s now 4 or 5 cards!  Only one more to go!

~ Ally ~

Stamps: MFT (Saddle Up & Celebrate, The Whole Herd)
Cardstock: Recollections (110# White)
Inks: Memento (Rich Cocoa), Copic Markers
Dies: MFT (Stitched Arch STAX, Little Lowercase Letters)

MFT Camp Create ~ Background Bonanza!

Challenge #3 for the Camp Create 2019 event sends us to create a fun back ground.

For this card I wanted to create a fun tall, thin style card instead of my traditional A2 sized cards.
I just had to use these sweet little birdies on my card from the MFT set “Tweet Friends”.  For their back ground, I used the “Mini Cloud Edges” and the “Grassy Edges” dies and some Distress Oxide inks to make a fun back drop for them to play on.

Are they a cute group or what?  I sure think so!

That’s 3 of 5!  Only 2 more to go!

~ Ally ~

Stamps: MFT (Tweet Friends)
Cardstock: Recollections (110# White)
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Distress Oxides (Crushed Pistachio, Mowed Lawn), EK Success (Sparkle Pen), Copic Markers
Stencils: MFT (Mini Cloud Edges, Grassy Edges)

MFT Camp Create ~ Magnificent Masking

For challenge #2 for My Favorite Things’ Camp Create 2019 challenges, we had to use a form of masking.

I chose to showcase all the adorable Halloween critters off from the “Frightfully Sweet” stamp set.
I masked off each individual critter so they all looked as if they were cluttered together.  I used Inkadinkado “Stamping Mask Paper” to do so.  I air brushed  the soft purples of the clouds using the “Mini Cloud Edges” stencil.

I also created my own lined paper using just a ruler and the nib end of a grey Copic Marker.  Pretty niffy eh?

That’s project 2 of 5!  More to come!

~ Ally ~

Stamps: MFT (Frightfully Sweet)
Cardstock: Recollections (110# White)
Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Copic Markers
Dies: MFT (Cross Stitched Circle STAX, Dimensional Banners)
Stencils: MFT (Mini Cloud Edges)

MFT Camp Create ~ Inlaid Dies

Howdy everyone!  I’' really wanted to participate in the first round of My Favorite Things “Camp Create 2019” but I never got a chance so I made an effort to participate this time.  So I’m going to bombard your emails in the next few hours with some fun MFT card creations.

So the first Camp Create challenge was to create something with inlaid dies.

I chose to use a whole series of dies and a few stamp sets too for my card.  I used Rolling Hills, Radiant Sunshine, Grassy Edges, In the Clouds and Fall Friends.  I used my Copic Air Brush System to color most of my pieces; all except my little girl.

It turned way better that I thought it was going to.  I love the little girl image on the pumpkin – how cute is she?

Thanks for stopping by for project 1 of 5!  You'll have to tell me which card of the 5 is your favorite!!!

September is Just Around the Corner!

September is only a few weeks away!  So get a head start on your September Canvo spreads using the Club Canvo subscription.

The Club Canvo is a monthly subscription for goodies for your Canvo bullet journal.  Each month a package containing two Canvo related items comes directly to your door.  One item will be a monthly themed stamp set and the other item is either a related stencil or another stamp set.  Both items are designed to coordinate with not only that month’s products but typically your daily, weekly or monthly bullet journal needs.

Today I’m going to share the first 2 spreads for my Canvo’s September layouts.

My first entry for the month is always a fun introductory page. I typically have fun with lots of colour and fun stamps!

Being September, our Club Canvo is school themed!  How adorable all those school supply themed stamped images?!?!?  I used Tiara, Tiki Torch, Samba, Fiesta Blue, Lime Rickey, Suede Shoes and Midnight inks on this page.

The second spread for the month is always my full calendar spread.  It always shows the days of the month so I can see at a glance what’s happening for the month.

I kept my calendar in the pink and grey tones this month; I used It’s a Girl, Party Dress and Twilight inks.  I just adore the rulers, the pen & pencil and the paint set stamps. So pretty!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you to get a chance to create in your Canvo soon!

I used some Distress Oxides in some soft pink shades and blended a soft back drop for my garden filled with pink blooms.  I also heat embossed the sentiment from the “Under Glass” stamp set.
