Catherine Pooler ~ Woodie Wagon

Happy Thursday all!  Last week Catherine Pooler Designs had a little mini summer release!  This releases name is "On The Boardwalk" and it's celebrating a taste of summertime!

One of the first things in my cart this time was their cool new "Woodies Wagon Die" set!  It is just pure summer vibes!

My Woodie Wagon needed some passengers!  So I grabbed the new "Boardwalk Cruisers" stamp set packed full of our furry friends and some fun summer things like skateboards and beach balls!

Look at all those furry critters takin' a ride along the surf scape!

I was inspired to create my card by attending the latest StampNation quarterly event, the "Coffee and Cards" with Catherine and Erika!

It was a fun Zoom event filled with lots of inspiration and fun chatter.  You can catch that recorded live over on the StampNation group.  You can check out the 3 available subscriptions in the link list below.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!

Pink & Main ~ Happy 4th of July!

Happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing another fun card featuring the May release from Pink & Main.

In honor of being Memorial Day today in the USA, I thought I'd bring out a patriotic card for you featuring the adorable "American Eagle" stamp set.  This adorable stamp set features 4 little Eagles with a variety of July themed items including sparklers!

I started my card by stamping out 3 of the little Eagles and coloring them with Copic Markers.  I then used their coordinating dies to cut them out.  I chose to color them like chicks instead of Eagles.

I also stamped a cluster of just the flag and some of the cute little star image included in the stamp set.  I fussy cut them out to hang off the end of my card's foiled front panel.

Next I created my foiled panel.  I took the negative of the "In the Stars Foilables" and applied some of the new & uber cool "Diamond Plated CheerFoil" to it using my laminator.  Such a cool look!!!

Then I took some "Stop Sign Twine" and some "Barbershop Twine" and twisted and knotted them together and wrapped it around the foiled panel.

Next I used some 3D foam adhesive to adhere the 3 little Eagles over top of the twine wrapped foil panel.

I picked the cluster of flags and stars under the panel and adhered everything down!

I hope you have a wonderful week and make sure to check out all the amazing new products from Pink & Main.

Sweet November Stamps ~ Let's Party Like a Merwee!

Happy Sunday!  I've got a fun Merwee party goin' on today!

Today's card features the "Merwee Party" stamp set from the most recent release from Sweet November Stamps MerMay 2024 collection.

I created this little scene using a lot of different images from the stamp set.  I think my favorite stamps in this set are the two adorable little puffer fish balloons... too cute!!!

To create the smooth background, I applied masks to all my mermaids and critters then I used my Copic Air Brush System to apply thin layers of blues and browns.

I just loved coloring in this little scene!

Hope you have a great long weekend to all of my American friends!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Sunset Skipper

Happy Thursday all!  I am away in Edmonton this weekend so I thought I'd share a few more of my Sweet November Stamps MerMay cards with you!

Today's card features the adorable "Skipper" stamp set.  She's just lounging out on the beach at sunset today.

I started my card by stamping our little Skipper in Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink.  Then I stamped her image on masking paper and cut out and applied the mask.

Then I took the two island images from the "Background Builder: Dock on the Bay" and stamped them in the back ground.

I carefully colored in my scene with Copic Markers.  I tried to remain in the lighter, softer color palette of a beachy scene.

At the end of coloring, I added a little bit of a yellow-orange glow to Skipper and her gull friend.

Last  but not least, I added the sentiment from the "Skipper" stamp set in a pretty Aquatini ink.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Chibitronics ~ Magical Light Up Fairy Tree

Happy Wednesday!   Today I'm sharing my latest Chibitronics creation that I made this week.

This card features cool paper circuit products including the Animating Red Fade LED Light Stickers!

I began by creating my card front.  I created a scene backer to my card front to block the light from passing through certain items like the tree truck and owl on the branch.  It can easily be seen in my video tutorial - click the image of the video below.

Next I adhered a lighter copy of my image to the inside of my circuit building surface.  This allows me to easily add my light sticker and switch in the correct locations for my image.

I chose to add 4 White LED Light Stickers to the moon, 3 White Stickers to each of the window and a single Animating Red Fade LED Light Sticker to the tiny heart above the fairy's hand.

To begin the circuit, I adhered the peel and stick Battery Holder to the bottom right hand corner of the circuit surface.  This is located under the word "Push" on the front of the card.

Then I drew the lines to represent the two sides of my circuit... the negative (blue) and the positive sides (red).  I took the negative line from the base of the Battery Holder and attached that line to all of the negative sides of the sticker locations (the pointy ends of the stickers).  Then I drew my red positive circuit lines beginning at the top of the lid of the Battery Holder.  I joined the red line to all of the "fat side" of the sticker locations.  The colors inside the sticker shapes just indicates what color of light I was going to use... yellow for "white" and "red" for red.

Next I peel and stuck down all 8 of my light stickers.  A total of one Animating Red Fade LED Light Sticker (heart shaped) and 7 White LED Light Stickers.

Then I began the process of adding my Conductive Fabric Tape to my circuit.

I began the negative side of my circuit by laying down my Conductive Fabric Tape inside the bottom of my Battery Holder.  This allows the 3V Coin Battery to make contact with the negative side of the circuit. I continued laying down my tape all across the blue lines of my diagram.

Once the negative side was done, I started added Conductive Fabric Tape to the positive side of the circuit.

I began laying down tape on the inside lid of the Battery Holder.  I wrapped it around to the front of the Battery Holder and out onto the circuit building surface.  I continued adding tape to the remainder of my circuit.  Any cut pieces of tape I made sure to overlap them and press them down to make good contact to the cut areas.

NOTE:  Conductive Fabric Tape can be substituted with our Copper Tape too!

Once all the tape was down I could add the C-shaped foam to the inside of my Battery Holder and pop my stacked 3V batteries (I used 2 in this case) inside the C-shape.

And here is my card all lit up!!!  The moon is a-glow along with the 3 windows in the tree trunk and the little red heart fades in and out with red light.

Now if you would like to see the circuit built, you might wanna check out my video tutorial over on the Chibitronics YouTube channel!  Click the image below to take you to that video!

I hope you will check that out plus give our fun products a try!!

Have a great rest of the week!

Pink & Main ~ Stay Sparkly Mermaids

Happy Tuesday all!  Today I'm sharing another fun card featuring the May release from Pink & Main.

I started by making my background for my little mermaid friends.  I used a variety of blue shades of Distress Oxides and swiping and blending them together.  If you're interested in how I did this EASY background, you can check out my live tutorial over the Scrap 'N Stamp FB page HERE.

Next I stamped out my two lil mermaids, some fish and a shell  from the "Stay Sparkly" stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them up with Copic Markers.  I trimmed the grassy blades from the side of the one mermaid and added them to the sand bottom instead. I cut everything out using their coordinating dies.

I die cut out the tea pot from "Tea Party Dies" and coloured my die cut in.  I tried to make it look like it was older and even had a few cracks in it under the sea.

Next off I torn some kraft cardstock into a few strips and added them layered to the bottom of my sea background.  I tucked the shell, tea pot and grasses into the layers sometimes elevating them with 3D foam adhesive.  Then I added the 2 mermaids and their fishy friends to the sea scape.

For the sentiment, I took a greeting from the "Tea Time" stamp set and stamped on my sandy bottom. I think the tea related and "bestie" sentiment goes well with the scene!

As a finishing touch, I added some dots to the sand and some bubbles to the water.

Such a fun card to make!

Make sure you check out all the new products from Pink & Main today.  They have some VERY COOL foil products too!

Have a fantastic rest of the week!

Sweet November Stamps ~ More Mer-Mazing Things!

Howdy and Happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing another fun mer-mazing card from the Sweet November Stamps MerMay 2024 release!

Today I'm sharing a fun interactive shaker card!  Who doesn't love an interactive card!?!?

The sweet little mermaid on the front is from the "Crabby But Cute" stamp set.  I just love her little crab friend.

I started by stamping her in Memento Desert Sand ink.  It's a great ink for creating a no-line colored look.

She is colored using Copic Markers - my favorite!  To create some of the finer details, I pulled out my Polychromos Pencils.

For her backdrop, I stamped the little crab from the "Something Fishy"stamp set with Melon Ice CP ink.

I created a simple die cut frame and added some acetate to the back of it.  I also adhered my little mermaid to the front of the acetate.

I used 3D foam tape to adhere the frame on to the card front, making sure the area was completely enclosed.  I added some retired "Sea Critter Sequins Mix".  You could easily substitute the new "Soft Seashore Sequins Mix" instead.

Make sure you visit the SNS Instagram for waves of inspiration!!

Have a great weekend!

Sweet November Stamps ~ In the Glow of the Moon

Happy Thursday!  I'm celebrating again today with some more of our new 2024 MerMay clear stamp release from Sweet November Stamps.

I started my card by by stamping the gorgeous mermaid from the "Mermee Emotions" in a light blue ink.

I created a mask for this gorgeous mermaid and also a circle mask for the moon.  I applied the masks and then I created the sky using Distress Oxide inks.  I added some white paint stars.  To create the waves, I used some acrylic paint and a fan brush.

I peeled off the masks and colored in my moon and mermaid using Copic Markers.

I made sure to apply some light yellow glow to the mermaid!

I just love the end result of today's card!

Hope you have a great and crafty end of your week!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Go With The Flow

Happy Tuesday!  I'm celebrating again today with some more of our new 2024 MerMay clear stamp release from Sweet November Stamps.

I started my card by stamping my little long haired mermaid and the sweet otter from the "Go with Flow" stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I also stamped a variety of little sea creatures from the "Something's Fishy".

I created a sea floor using Copic Markers and colored that in.  I also colored in all of my critters and my mermaid using Copic Markers.

I fussy cut out my mermaid attached to the sea floor.  I allowed a little bit of paper around the seaweed leaves due to their detail.  I Copic colored around those leaves with blue ink to match the background.  I also fussy cut out all my sea animals.

Next I cut a circle from some acetate and adhered all of my sea animals around the outside of the circle.  I also punched a hole in the circle.

I used a simple brad to attach the circle to my card's background.  The brad allows the circle to rotate making the sea creates swim behind the mermaid.  The acetate also peeks a bit below the card so it's easier to rotate from below.

Next I adhered the mermaid and the seabed to the card front using dimensional foam adhesive.  I made sure that the 3D foam didn't touch or impede the rotation of the acetate circle.

This card was so fun to create and who doesn't love an interactive card!

Make sure to check out all the new MerMay stamps!
