Sweet November Stamps ~ Thank You Mer-Friend

Happy Hump Day!  Today I'm sharing another one of our new digital images from the release called "My Unbelievable Friend" from Sweet November Stamps.

Today's card features the "My Unbelievable Friend: Peek-a-boo" digital stamp set.

I colored my front panel using Copic Markers.  To color in the sky, I masked off the digital image first, and then I used my Copic Air Brush system to spray a light wash of ink on the sky's background.

To finish off the card, I used some fun patterned papers from the Catherine Pooler Designs "Eight Nights" paper pack.  I created my own solid blue cardstock by inking it up with a matching blue Copic Marker.

To add a final sentiment, I used a tag from the CP "Hearts-n-Tags Dies", stamped a Thank You sentiment from the Sweet November Stamps "Spring Garden Critters" stamp set and tied it on with some "Streetlight Twine" from Pink & Main.

Hope you check out this cute line of new digital mermaid and friends images.

Have a great week!

Pink & Main ~ Stay Sparkly!

Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing another fun card featuring the May release from Pink & Main.

In honor of MerMay last month, I thought I'd share a whimsical card using the "Stay Sparkly" mermaids.

I first stamped my mermaids and their finned friend using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored them up using some Copic Markers.

Next I took my tri blend of blue Copic Markers and I created a flowing backdrop of water among the mermaid and her friends.  I added a sandy bottom and some waving seaweed too!

To finish off the card, I added some White Gel Pen details to her hair piece and outfit, some Stickles "Stardust" bubbles to the water and a pink colored sentiment included in the "Stay Sparkly" stamp set.

A card fit for a mermaid lover for sure!

Have a great week everyone!

Pink & Main ~ ConGRADulations! plus a GIVEAWAY!

Happy Monday!  Here in Alberta, lots of Grade 12 students are getting ready to attend graduation.  My 18 year old son graduated last year and sadly he refused to attend his ceremony so I never got to see him walk the stage to receive his diploma.

As a guest designer for Pink & Main this month, I was gifted a whole box full of goodies to create with and that included the adorable "Way To Go Owls".

To start my card though, I actually used a leftover of a previous card.  I had foiled one the cool "In The Stars Foilables" for another card and I had the clear leftovers from the foiling process using the cool "Diamond-Plated CheerFoils".  I knew I wanted to use this leftover piece - I could have used it with the "White Toner Sheets" to apply the design to a white surface but I didn't have any.  Instead, I laid the clear sheet over top of an ink blended piece of cardstock and attached it to a simple frame.

Next I stamped two of the adorable little owls with their hats flying off their heads.  I colored them up with Copic Markers and die cut them out with the "Way To Go Owl Dies".

This card was SO much FUN to create!

HOW TO WIN:

Now... since I do not have any occasion to use this card, if you would like this card please leave a comment below with the word "GRAD" in it. Please leave your email in your comment so I have a way to contact you.  I will chose a winner on Friday June 7th.

Have a great rest of the week!

Pink & Main ~ Happy 4th of July!

Happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing another fun card featuring the May release from Pink & Main.

In honor of being Memorial Day today in the USA, I thought I'd bring out a patriotic card for you featuring the adorable "American Eagle" stamp set.  This adorable stamp set features 4 little Eagles with a variety of July themed items including sparklers!

I started my card by stamping out 3 of the little Eagles and coloring them with Copic Markers.  I then used their coordinating dies to cut them out.  I chose to color them like chicks instead of Eagles.

I also stamped a cluster of just the flag and some of the cute little star image included in the stamp set.  I fussy cut them out to hang off the end of my card's foiled front panel.

Next I created my foiled panel.  I took the negative of the "In the Stars Foilables" and applied some of the new & uber cool "Diamond Plated CheerFoil" to it using my laminator.  Such a cool look!!!

Then I took some "Stop Sign Twine" and some "Barbershop Twine" and twisted and knotted them together and wrapped it around the foiled panel.

Next I used some 3D foam adhesive to adhere the 3 little Eagles over top of the twine wrapped foil panel.

I picked the cluster of flags and stars under the panel and adhered everything down!

I hope you have a wonderful week and make sure to check out all the amazing new products from Pink & Main.

Pink & Main ~ Stay Sparkly Mermaids

Happy Tuesday all!  Today I'm sharing another fun card featuring the May release from Pink & Main.

I started by making my background for my little mermaid friends.  I used a variety of blue shades of Distress Oxides and swiping and blending them together.  If you're interested in how I did this EASY background, you can check out my live tutorial over the Scrap 'N Stamp FB page HERE.

Next I stamped out my two lil mermaids, some fish and a shell  from the "Stay Sparkly" stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them up with Copic Markers.  I trimmed the grassy blades from the side of the one mermaid and added them to the sand bottom instead. I cut everything out using their coordinating dies.

I die cut out the tea pot from "Tea Party Dies" and coloured my die cut in.  I tried to make it look like it was older and even had a few cracks in it under the sea.

Next off I torn some kraft cardstock into a few strips and added them layered to the bottom of my sea background.  I tucked the shell, tea pot and grasses into the layers sometimes elevating them with 3D foam adhesive.  Then I added the 2 mermaids and their fishy friends to the sea scape.

For the sentiment, I took a greeting from the "Tea Time" stamp set and stamped on my sandy bottom. I think the tea related and "bestie" sentiment goes well with the scene!

As a finishing touch, I added some dots to the sand and some bubbles to the water.

Such a fun card to make!

Make sure you check out all the new products from Pink & Main today.  They have some VERY COOL foil products too!

Have a fantastic rest of the week!

Happy Friday all!  Today I'm sharing my first card that I created using the adorable new Pink & Main products!  I am one of their guest designers for the month of May.

Then I wrapped the background with the new "Moss Twine" and adhered on the forest tea scene on top backed with a white oval.
