Christmas Card Series 2018: Day 2 ~ Bad Christmas Kitty
Welcome to Day 2 of my Christmas Card Series for 2018. Today I’m going to
combine a non-holiday themed stamp set with a Christmas one to create today’s
card. I love being able to re-purpose stamps in this way. It sure makes them
more worth while to spend money on.
So come and join me at my crafty desk for another fun Christmas card. Grab a coffee and let’s go play!
Here’s another look at both of the cards that I created today…
The red gingham…
And the green…
So what do you think about combining your step sets? It’s super fun! Now, go check out your stash and see what you can come up with!
Happy creating!

Happy Heart Birthdays!
Happy Friday all! I’m back at creating some fun fun cards featuring Power Poppy stamps again to share today.
I’m always finding that I am in need of birthday cards but never have enough so it was my aim to add a few to my stash. So I pulled out the fun “Party Time” stamp set and a big heart die.
To start both of my cards, I die cut a large heart mask and placed it on my card bases. Then I took my Ranger Distress Oxide inks and blended two colors of ink across both hearts. Then I took some fun stamps and inked them across the heart’s surface.
After removing my mask, I splattered some water and also some ink on one back ground and then proceeded to add my coloured images and sentiments.
Copics: YG01, RV55, RV17, FV2
Copics: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG45, V04, RV17
I used the “Happy Wishes” from the “Simply Camellias” stamp set and I used the smaller circular plates "Artful Display" stamp set to create the abstract back ground.
Now check out what my fellow Bloomies have created for you to check out today showcasing all kinds of fun stamp sets…

Power Poppy: Succulent Fields
Happy Friday one and all! I’m off on a Scout camp weekend so I’m packing up
my gear and getting ready for hopefully lots of sunshine and fresh air. But
before I go, I’m sharing a fun card using Power Poppy’s amazing
products!
Today I made a card with a lot of masking! If you haven’t already checked out my easy masking tutorial over on the Power Poppy Blog, make sure you do. You can find right HERE.
I used one of newest clear stamp sets called “Succulent Singles” to create today’s card. I stamped and masked off all the different succulents to create the cascade of plants. Then I left all the masks on the plants and blended my Ranger Distress Inks all across the back ground.
Check out this card a little closer…
I’m playing along with a few fun challenges today. First off all, I used this week’s sketch from Fresh Made Sketches, #287;
Plus I used the colour scheme and photo inspiration from the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, #406;
Now check out what my fellow Bloomies have created for you to check out today…
Marcella also has a SALE going on this weekend. You can check out all the details on the Power Poppy Blog today! Happy shopping!
Thanks again for joining us for today! I hope you have an amazing weekend and to all you Mom’s out there… Happy Mother’s Day!

Power Poppy: Hello Rosy!
Howdy all! Happy Friday! Since it’s a new month, over at Power
Poppy we’ll begin a new monthly challenge.
This month’s Power & Spark Challenge is all about the no-line colouring technique! It really isn’t as hard as it looks. For all the details, please click here.
Let me show you how I began my colouring…
A: Stamped my single rose bud from the “Everything’s Even Rosier” stamp set using Bundled Sage Distress Ink onto Arches 140lb Cold Pressed water colour paper. You’ll want to use a light coloured ink for this technique. I could have used a lighter ink myself… oh well!
B: Added my grey tones to all the shadow areas using my ZIG “Gray Tint”.
C: Added my base colour to my petals. ZIG “English Lavender”.
D: Added my darkest purple to all the shadow areas. ZIG “Violet”.
E: Added my next lightest-toned purple and blended out the dark purple. ZIG “Lilac”.
F: Added my mid-tone purple and blended in out. SIG “Light Violet & Lilac”.
G: Added my base coat of green to my leaves. ZIG “Green Shadow”.
H: Added some subtle yellow and orange tones to the leaves. ZIG “Yellow & Flesh Colour”.
I: Added the darker green to the shadows and veins of the leaves. ZIG “Light Green”. As so added some more “"ZIG “English Lavender” to the shadows to darken them.
J: Added some subtle pink colour to the rose petals. ZIG “Sugared Almond Pink”.
After trimming it out and adding it to my card… VOILA!
Now, come and check out what the rest of the amazingly talented Bloom Brigade created using their Power Poppy stamps…
Thanks for stopping in! I’d love to know if you’ve tried this fun colouring technique yourself?

Congrats Sweet Boy!
Howdy all! I know… two posts in one day – it’s a miracle!
I thought I’d pop in with a super simple card using this week’s SugarPea Designs SugarSketch 38…
It’s a card for my nephew whom is being baptized at the end of February. Unfortunately I cannot make it back to home to attend this event so it will be accompanied by a gift for little Z in the mail in the next few weeks.
I used the cute little critters & matching dies from the SugarPea Designs “Everyday is Christmas” stamp set. Even though though they are meant for a holiday, they are generically themed enough to use on anything – I love that! Can you see the "12 Drummers drumming, 11 Pipers piping, 10 Lords a leaping"?
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Wednesday!
Ally.
