Stamp Anniething Guest Designer: Torin - You Are So Brave!

Happy late Wednesday everyone!  This month I'm honored to be guest designing for Stamp Anniething.  

This month's collection of new stamps, dies and a stencil are freakin' ADORABLE! It's a fun Viking theme.

Meet "Torin"!  Isn't he the cutest littl' viking you have ever seen?

To accompany this stamp set is a coordinating die set (sorry... mine hasn't arrived yet so I fussy cut mine out.).

I used Copic markers to not only color in Torin but also to create a hand drawn back ground for him.

Howdy all! I hope all of my American friends are having a wonderful long weekend.  We had our holiday weekend last weekend! 

Today I’m sharing my final challenge card as a Guest Designer with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps! I’m so happy I got the chance to work with all these lovely ladies all month long!

One of my favourite parts of summer is all the wonderful blooms we get to see around our neighbourhood.  My next door neighbour has an amazing garden.  I, on the other hand, I don’t have a green bone in my body let alone a green thumb!  So I enjoy their gardens all season long instead.

Hello everyone!  I hope you’re having a fabulous week!  I’m here today with the Krafty Girls from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps playing along with today’s newest KKS Wonderful Wednesday challenge!

Today I’m showcasing one of the newest release stamps sets, “Mermaid Friends”.  It’s got two adorable mermaids on it, each with a fun ocean friend.  I chose to use the mermaid with her dolphin friend for my card and the cute “Fishy Kisses” sentiment also included with this collection.

This month's release is all about the sea!  And the sea wouldn't be the sea with out a few beach babes... MERMAIDS that is!

Meet "Serena Sparkles"!

I chose to highlight just Serena on my card so I kept it fairly simple and just stamped our little mermaid babe and then coloured in the back ground using Copic Markers.

First I stamped the image and then I using my Copic Airbrush system to lay down some even blue colour for the water. Then I used long strokes of all kinds of blues, light greens and teals to get the light effect traveling through the water.

So I chose to use multiple layers of paper to create my card PLUS I also used multiple layers of stamps (aka masking) to create my little scene.

I'm Guest Designing for...

About 2 months ago I got the chance to enter a guest designer contest for one of my favorite Canadian stamp companies and I got one of four spots!!!  I was overjoyed!  So this month, I'm joining the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps girls for the month and designing with this month’s new release and playing along with all their fun challenges for May!

Feline Better?

Howdy all!  It’s Friday and this is my second post of the day… wow!  It’s miracle to have more than one post a week some weeks!!

Today I’m playing along with the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps “Saturday Challenge”.  This week’s theme is “HOME” (hence the birdhouses!).  And I had been waiting to enter this week’s challenge until I got the brand new stamp set, “Welcome to the Neighbourhood!” – which I received today!!!  So I inked it up right away (along with the sentiment from the “A Purr-fect Day” stamp set) and created this card, also using the March card sketch too!

I’m also happy to announce that I was one of the winners of Kim’s Guest Designer contest held a few weeks ago.  I’ll be designing for her new release in May and can I say… the May new release stamps are SO cute and I can hardly wait to create with them!  You’re going to want them ALL!
