Catherine Pooler ~ Let's Party

Happy Friday!

StampNation is having a birthday this week!  We're turning 14!  Yup... it's been around for 14 years!

To celebrate, we're having a little challenge over at StampNation!  

The challenge is to make a birthday card.

So I pulled out the newest Catherine Pooler ink color, Blue Raspberry. I also pulled out Something Blue, Melon Ice, Garden Party, Limoncello, and Tiara.

I started by making my background.  I used the "Block & Script Birthday Background" stamp set. 

Then I pulled out the "Birthday Cake Remix" stamp set.  I stamped and die cut all of the elements of the 3 layer cake.  I also used some "Halo Embossing Powder" to create the frosting layers.

For the sentiment, I used just the letter die shapes of the "Party Word Die" and used 5 of my ink colors.  I wanted a little "let's" word so I pulled that word from one of the sentiments for the "Fall Finds" stamp set.

For the finishing touch, I used some Star Dust Stickles to add some dots of sparkle!

Here's the card I used to create my Bingo card creation...

I started by inking up a panel of Be Mine and Pucker Up ink.  Then I die cut the "Woven Cover Plate Die" from that umbre panel.

I backed it with some glitter black cardstock for some subtle sparkle.

Then I ink blended a smaller piece of cardstock and stamped the floral heart from the "Yours Truly" stamp set.  I used some Copic Markers to color in more of the floral details.

Next I die cut a tag with a flag end from the "Hearts-n-tags Die" set and heat embossed a greeting from the same "Yours Truly" stamp set with some silver embossing powder.  I added in a few Tinseltown silver sequins to add that final bit of shine!

HOORAY!!!

This week Catherine Pooler's StampNation turned 12 years old!

In celebration of this monumental event, Catherine is offering up a FREE stamp set in your next Catherine Pooler Designs order for the month of January!

To celebrate this birthday, our StampNation challenge this week is to create a fun birthday card with non-traditional birthday stuff!

So I grabbed some Christmas paper... yes Christmas paper to begin my card. This paper is from the "Better Not Pout" 6x6 papers.

Next I grabbed a kitty from the "More Peeking Pets", a party hat from the "Peeking Pets" and the a set of glasses from the "Pet Specs" dies and put them together.  I stamped and die cut everything and colored them using Copic Markers.

Next I stamped the large word "super" from the "Super Stars Sentiments" stamp set using Rockin' Red ink and then the rest of the sentiment in Midnight ink.

The final touch, included some sequins from the "Wintergreen" collection.

Catherine Pooler ~ Meow's It Going?

Good day all! Today is day 2 of the new Catherine Pooler "Quint-Essentials" sneak peeks!

Today we have 2 new bundles being revealed.  If you want to see it live, check out Catherine's Facebook page at 12 noon ET.

Today I'm sharing another fun card featuring the "Peeking In Bundle" and the adorable new "More Peeking Pets" stamp and die set and also the "Look Who's Talking Sentiment" stamp set & die. 

I started my card by stamping all of the kitty related mini images in the "More Peeking Pets" stamp set.  I used a rainbow of inks: Peppermint Scrub, Mandarin Spice, Sauna, Green Tea, Eucalyptus, Daydream, Juniper Mist and finally, Royal Treatment.

I die cut my rainbow panel using the "Scallops & Dots Dies" to get the pierced rectangle and the scalloped rectangle.

Then I added my little kitty in Peppermint Scrub ink and the sentiment bubble using a combo of Sauna and Mandarin Spice inks.

I had so much fun creating this rainbow-licious card!

Summer Splash Has Begun!

The Summer Splash event has begun over at StampNation!  We're making cards and havin' some sunny fun!  I unfortunately have come down with Covid after being able to stay clear of it for over 2 years and my 16 year old son has it too.  So my crafty energy levels are next to nil.

My card for this week features the stunning "Filigree Background" stamp by CP and the super cute "Happy Mail" by My Favorite things and lots of beautiful CP inks.

I first inked up my watercolor paper with some Drive-in and Pucker Up inks and smooshed it around with some water.  Then I stamped the "Filigree Background" stamp with Versamark ink and set it with Clear Embossing Powder.   Then I went back with my 2 inks and darkened around all the filigree marks to show off the pattern.

I colored up my little bike riding bunny with Copic Markers and added on a simple sentiment.

Winter Thank Yous

So I’ve had a nice relaxing morning today… “Friends” playing on Netflix and having some fun using my new Catherine Pooler Designs inks.

I have a few thank you’s to send out from Christmas yet. I know… at least I’ll get them out.  Better late then never!

Today I made a single panel and cut it into two pieces to create two simple cards. I used the sweet snowflakes and dots from the “Snowy Sayings”, the stripes from “Yay Stripes” plus the pretty script sentiment from the “Butterfly Notes”.

I used the new CP inks; Fiesta Blue, Lime Rickey & Tiara.  I used them all on Catherine’s 100lb Premium White Cardstock.
