Sweet Sentiment ~ Affable Anemone

Happy Thursday!  Today I'm sharing another fun card creation from Sweet Sentiment!

Today I created this simple but pretty sympathy card featuring the newly released "Affable Anemone" stamp set.  This stamp set also has a coordinating Sweet Slice Die as well.

I started by stamping my greenery images below and above the hand drawn black lines.  I coloured them in with Copic Markers.

Next I stamped the 2 Anemone images on a separate piece of Sweet Sentiment Premium Coloring Cardstock (this cardstock has built-in sparkle to it!!!) and colored them in with peachy Copics.  I fussy cut each of the florals out.  Then I used a stylus tool and shaped each layer up. I then using some foam adhesive to maintain the cupping of the blooms and added them to the card front.

I also added some simple gold splatters across the center panel of the card for some sparkle!

I hope you like today's creation!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Meet "Affable Anemone"!

Happy release day for Sweet Sentiment!  Today we're releasing a lot of FARM-tastic products and much, much more!

Today I'm starting by sharing the newest 3D floral stamp set, called "Affable Anemone" stamp set!  This stamp set is sure to be on your "Must Have!" list!  This stamp set also has a coordinating die to cut out all those stamped goodies!

This stamp set feature a 2 piece/layered Anemone bloom, 2 sprigs of greenery and 4 greetings.  I chose to make this a one-layer card so I stamped and masked my layers.

Once I stamped my images, I colored everything using Copic Markers.  I have a list of all the Copics I used at the end of this post if you wish to reference that information.

To finish off my card I stamped my greeting in Versamark ink and the added some Detail Copper embossing powder and heat set it all.  Voila!  A simple card!

If you look closely, I used my super-fine Copic Multiliner (0.05) to add some hatch lines to my background to add texture and darkness to the shadows.  So simple but fun to do!

I hope you'll join us over on the Sweet Sentiment Stamps & Friends Facebook page for all the new July release samples by the amazing Design Team!

Have a wonderful weekend!  I hope you have time to get inky!

I began my card today by die cutting a series of 6 complete circles using our "Circles Dies" and inking each strip up with our CP inks; Whipped Honey, Apricot, Pink Champagne, Lilac, Tranquil and Matcha.  I cut them in half so I had 2 rainbows to use.

Next I cut a "Cosmic Cover Plate Die" from white cardstock and added it to my white card base.  I also cut a series of white clouds using the "April Showers Dies" and I stamped a "So Sorry" sentiment from the "Round About Messages" stamp set in Lilac ink.

Then I stamped a puppy from the new "More Peeking Pets" stamp set in Whipped Honey ink and colored him using Copic Markers.

I layered my puppy among the puffy clouds and the rainbow using foam tape.

A cute card for a sympathetic situation... because you all know we need one or two of those cards every year.

A Floral Sympathy Card

The other day I received a piece of mail for the previous owner of the house we live in. It was a little white envelope with a Christmas stamp so I knew it was a holiday card.  Knowing the previous resident had passed away in the fall of 2020, instead of just sending it back with a redirect message I thought I'd make a simple sympathy card to let them know their friend had passed away.

Here's the simple, sentiment-less card I made to include with their returned card...

I used the "Beautiful Day Floral" stamp set and matching die.  I used the "Through the Prism" stamp set for the background and I embossed it with Platinum Embossing Powder.  I used Copic Markers and Polychromo Pencils to color in my images.

I added a few "Oak City Sequins" and some gold "Starry Night" Gansai Tambi splatter to add a touch of shine.

It's an unfortunate card that I have to send but I hope it comes as little less shocking to the family.

I hope you all have a wonder holiday season!  Hugs all those you love and hold them close this holiday season.

Crafty hugs,

~ Ally ~

Sympathy Cards - 1 Background, 4 Cards

We had a member of our family pass away this week.  He leaves behind a wonderful wife, my Aunt, his 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

So I began the process of making Sympathy cards to send to my Aunt and my cousins and their families this afternoon.

I picked a beautiful color palette of Serene, Glam, Skylight and Bay Breeze.  I chose to use the beautiful "Boho Feathers" stamp set as it had not only beautiful feather images but also a lovely script sentiment of "Thinking of You" as well.

I decided to film the making of my back ground panel and some of the aspects of my cards as way of sharing my love of cardmaking just like my Uncle of sharing his passions in life.

A Masculine Sympathy Card

Hey guys!  I just found out that one of my best friend’s hubby’s lost his grandfather today so I thought I would quickly make a sympathy card to put in the mail this afternoon.

I chose to start with this beautiful and intricate “Stained Glass Coverplate” die from Catherine Pooler Designs and also her two fabulous grey cardstocks, “Smoke & Mirrors Cardstock” and her black cardstock, “Midnight Cardstock”.

So I cut the coverplate die using white, 2 shades of grey and also from black cardstock. Using a piece of light weight cardstock covered in adhesive, I laid the black outline down first and proceeded to place all of the greys & white cardstock pieces into the puzzle.  I just love the way it turned out…

Next I stamped the “thoughts” and “prayers” words from the “And Sentiments” stamp set using Versamark ink and then used white embossing powder to create an embossed sentiment strip.  I die cut the smaller ampersand from the “And Dies” from the light “Smoke & Mirrors Cardstock” and adhered it to the sentiment strips.

Before adhering my sentiment down I die cut some cute little leaves from the “Fallen Leaves Dies” and stuck them down first.

Can I tell ya, I’m quite smitten with this card?!!

Thanks again for stopping by to take a peak at one of my card creations!  I hope your day is going well!  See you soon!

Sympathetic Magnolias

Happy last Friday of 2016!  Wow… this year has flown by!  Join me today along some of the Bloom Brigaders from Power Poppy as we share some final cards for 2016.

This past week a friend of mine lost her husband of many, many years.  So I needed to create a sympathy card to send her.

I chose to showcase the stunning Planning for Magnolias stamp set plus some fitting sentiments from the Daffodils stamp set.  I was in the mood to watercolour so I grabbed some Arches Cold Press paper and my ZIG Clean Color Markers.

I even managed to stamp a little somethin’ on the inside…

Now, go and check out what my fellow Bloomies have created to share today…

Thanks for joining me throughout 2016!  Let’s make 2017 your best year ever!!!

Happy New Year everyone!
