myStamp BOX and Clearsnap Unite!

myStamp BOX and Clearsnap have joined forces this week!  Both teams are combining products to see what fun and cool things we can create!

For my card, I began by creating a focal image.  For this, I used the Clearsnap chalk inks and brush ink pads and created a swirly palette.  I used the colours: Moss Green, Lime Green, Aquamarine, Frost Blue and Frost White inks.

I then stamped a variety of the cool stamp cancelling images from the myStamp BOX Road Trip stamp set all over my focal piece of paper. My sentiment is from the Mention It collection.

Come and join us on the Clearsnap blog and the myStamp BOX blog to see what everyone has created!

Supplies:
stamps: myStamp BOX (Mention It, Road Trip)
cardstock: Bazzill, Flourishes
inks: Clearsnap
embossing folder: Cuttlebug
die cut shapes: Spellbinders
accessories: ribbon

We are giving away an amazing prize package from the myStamp BOX shop for our event this weekend and all you have to do is COMMENT along your journey to WIN.

We have given three of our lovely designers a mystery prize box and you could WIN the prize inside just by leaving a COMMENT on EVERY designer’s blog. Our Mystery Box Hop winner will be announced on the myStamp BOX blog on Monday so all comments are due by Sunday June 26th at 11:59pm EST. Good Luck!

Here is what I did with my MYSTERY BOX

I began with an idea of creating a little box that my son could have in the back seat of the Jeep that he could have a few car type games in. So this is what I came up with....

Car Fun Box

TOP
Stamp sets used: Graphic Borders, Splash Me a Little! alphabets, Neighborhoods)

FRONT

BACK

Then once my box was decorated, I decided to create a few things to put inside.

First I came up with a fun magnetic alphabet board. I took piece of adhesive magnetic paper and applied a sheet of copy paper to its sticky side. Then I stamped the checkerboard edges using the Graphic Borders stamp set. I ten stamped all of my alphabets from the Royal Flush alphabet set. I made duplicates of some of the vowels and some of the more common other letters like "S" & "T".

Next I wanted to come up with a "car bingo" concept so I designed a VERY SIMPLE bingo card that would fit inside my box. "Spencer" is my son's name so that's why it says "Spencer's Car Bingo" on it.

This is where you get to interpret the blocks. Here's just a few ideas for the card above...
  • K - find something that begins with "K"
  • 3 cars - find 3 of something
  • cone - find something you can eat
  • leaf - find something green
  • girl - find a woman or girl
  • J - find something that starts "J"
  • hearts - find a heart shape
  • phone - find a phone
Here's a second bingo card...

Here's how I might interpret this next card...
  • cat - find some kind of animal
  • coffee - find something you drink
  • house - find a white house
  • boat - find something that floats
  • leaf - find something that grows
  • hearts - find 3 of something the same
  • 2 girls - find 2 girls together
  • W - find something that starts with "W"
I hope you have enjoyed my little box of creativity today!

I am the FINAL Mystery Box designer for today.

I sure hope you have enjoyed all the amazing BOX inspiration that the myStamp BOX designers have created for you this weekend! Don’t forget to leave a comment below for a chance to WIN one of our MYSTERY BOX giveaway!

Janet Zeppa

Janet's blog: Janet's Joy

Hi there! My name is Janet Zeppa and I live in St.Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Born here and never left. It's close to Niagara Falls if that gives you a better idea of location. I'm a wife and mother to 3 grown children. They are 31, 29 and 28. A girl and 2 boys. I am newly retired from being a Medical Laboratory Technologist but have stayed on as a casual. Have to have that extra money to feed my scrapbooking habit. :) I love to play with all the pretty papers and love the idea of my grandchildren looking through my albums one day and seeing a part of their history. I also teach classes at my LSS and am having a blast!

And here's the card I made to welcome Janet to our team....

I wanted the front panel VERY simple. I used the polka dotted cloud from the Wishing you Sunshine set and the Congratulations greeting is from the Mention It! set. I hand cut the legs and hand drew a little head on my sheep.

And this is what you open up the card to....

The sentiment is created from the Lots of Dots Sentiments and the Mini Alpha stamp sets. If you read it carefully... it says...

Welcome to the neighbourHERD!

To create the back ground I used the farm scape from the Neighborhoods stamp set. I stamped and cut the silo, barn and farmhouse on red cardstock and then hand cut them out and added it over the initial stamping of the image.

I used a variety of the different clouds in the Wishing You Sunshine set to make my herd of sheep.

That cute little butterfly and the pretty blooms are both from the Funky Flowers stamp set. I also used the grassy stamp from the set too for the grass in the fore ground.

You have now successfully completed our little blog hop welcoming our new Design team members for myStamp BOX. Please make sure you have left a comment on each and every blog you have visited and you may just WIN yourself a new stamp set to play with! Good luck!!!

All Aboard the LOVE TRAIN - myStamp BOX Blog HOP!

All Aboard!!! You’re now a passenger on the myStamp BOX Love Train Blog Hop! Let’s travel along the tracks to each of our talented designers and see the sites! We’re going to share all kinds of cool cards and projects on your journey today. We’re also going to giveaway some amazing stamp sets too! If you are just joining in, please visit the myStamp BOX blog to begin your journey.

All aboard… let’s begin our journey right now! Just in case your train de-rails, these are the stops we’re going to make along the way…

To be eligible to be our random stamp winner, you must visit each of the designers blogs listed above and leave on comment on their Love Train post. Once you have visited and commented on each person’s blog you can return to the myStamp BOX blog and leave one final comment to let us know what your favourite stop along your train trip was.

Now on with the journey!!!

When I think of Love and Valentine's Day, I think red, white and frilly! So for my first card creation I wanted to make it just that... red, white and frilly! LOL! So I made this...

Frilly Hearts

To create my card I started off by cutting a long strip of white paper and then edge punching the width of the paper strip. I cut my flaps of scalloped punched paper approximately 1 inch in width and then I stamped my cute little heart from the Seal It! stamp set. I used the scallops as my guidelines... so perfect! Then I layered the stamped scalloped strips with a little bit of distress inks along the edge on a piece of scrap paper. I created a fast frame and wrapped it with some cute heart ribbon and a heart charm and VOILA!... red, white and frilly!

You can see the scalloped edge detail a little better here...

For my final card, I wanted to create a font inspired front panel so I searched through all of my amazing myStamp BOX stamp sets to find all the love and Valentine's Day inspired sentiments to use. And I found a ton! Here's my font inspired card...

Hanging Heart U

Stamp sets used: Funky Alphabet (love), Mini Alpha - Small Box (adore), Rough Copy Alphabet ("u"), Backgrounds (bubble wrap background), Mention It! ("you're so sweet"), Santa's Tags - Small Box (xoxo), Lots of Dots - Sentiments ("sweet"), Whatever! ("truly madly", "I (*heart*) U", "Hugz").

That's 8 stamps sets... including a Christmas stamp set!!! I know... crazy huh??

To celebrate this love inspired journey, I'm giving away a set of Making Memories "Love Notes" felt clips and a Making Memories "Je t'Adore" set of brads. How can you WIN this little LOVE RAK you ask? Just by commenting below and answering the following question...

What was your favourite part of the Love Train Blog Hop today?

I will draw a winner on Monday sometime. Good luck!

I get the great honour today to introduce you to the extremely talented and lovely crafter, Jaine Drake.

Jaine Drake
Jaine's Blog: http://www.craftydrake.blogspot.com/

I'm English but live in leafy Luxembourg in the heart of Europe. I adore all crafts and have tried many but stamping and mixed media seem to have stuck. I love to push myself to the limit just to see what I can create and my style is constantly changing as a result. I love to teach crafts as well as take workshops myself but mostly I can be found in my basement workshop getting inky fingers and making a mess.

Welcome Jaine to the mSB Team! We're so happy to have us join our little "neighborhood"...

supplies: stamps, myStampBOX; chipboard, Magistical Memories; cardstock, Core'dinations, Bazzill; patterned papers, die cut shape, BasicGrey; inks, Copic, Memento, Stampin' Up!; die cut tool, Spellbinder's; ribbon, Espirit.

For my little welcoming card I used some fabulous mSB stamp sets:
Neighborhoods - the skyline & small sentiment
Lots of Dots Sentiments - large sentiment
Road Trip - the mini tag

I also used some of our generous sponsor products for this card like the orange cardstock from Core'dinations and a beautiful chipboard circle from Magistical Memories.

Welcome to the myStampBOX team Jaine!

The challenge for this Blog Hop was to take anything that makes you think of Summer and create a project that fits the theme.

You participate in the blog hop by leaving a comment on each and every participating myStamp BOX designer's blog and all of our partner companies' blogs as well. You have a chance to win a set of stamps sets! Our partner companies will offer up a prize as well. So leave a comment on all the blog posts and then return to the mSB blog and tell us what you favourite project was along the way for a chance to win! Have fun!

For me, summer is all about outdoor fun! One of our family fun stops during the warm months is to visit the beach. So I was browsing the aisles of our local bargain shop and came across a bag of fun beach related toys. PERFECT!! Since toys seem to migrate while on the beach, I thought I would personalize my son's beach stuff...

First I stamped all kinds of boy related icons all down the side of his fun plastic wheel barrow. I used StazOn black ink and allowed it a few minutes to dry between stamping the next image.

Stamp sets I used for the wheel barrow: "house", No Place Like Home; "ice cream cone, computer/TV, cell phone, Symbols; "Crazy Stuff", Bold Blocks; "seal", Seal It!; "man image, male gender symbol", She Says - He Says; "circles", Funky Circles; "robots, nuts, bolts, gears", Programmed Robots; "cloud, sun", Wishing You Sunshine; "airplane, car, words", Passport to Adventure; "alphabets", Rough Copy Alphabet.

I made sure to personalized it for him with his name right on the front...

... and also I on the inside. I coloured his name in using my Copic markers.

Included in the summer kit was a little pail with a red rake and a green shovel. I personalized his pail with the Funky Circles stamp set and I also added his initial "S" to the big circles using the Rough Copy Alphabet set. Since he's almost 5 now, I thought I would stamp on the tools what they were in actual words. For this, I used the Mini Alpha - Small Box set.

The whole entire set came in a handy back pack so I personalized it too!!! I used the newest mSB stamp set, the Royal Flush alphabet stamp set.

Everything comes apart easily and slides right into the backpack. Here's my little beach boy sporting his new beach gear...

I hope my project has inspired you today!!!

Please hop along to the back to the myStampBOX Blog. Please make sure you leave a comment on the Blog Hop post and tell us what your favourite project was along the way to finish off your Jump into Summer inspirational Blog Hop today and a chance to win a PRIZE!

We hope that you've had lots of fun hopping along with us!!

Jill Hildebrand

Jill's Blog: From the Farm

My name is Jill Hildebrand. I bring my contagious personality and high energy to all events I attend. I live on a grain farm in southern Manitoba with my husband and three children. I am a busy SAHM and part-time teacher. I love being a scrapbook instructor, guest designer, published artist & design team member. I try to create colourful & edgy layouts and I love to encourage scrappers to get CRAZY and become excited about the products they are using. My motto: “There are No Mistakes – Only Unexpected Creations”. In any spare time I can be found doing some sort of home decorating, traveling or watching NBA games with my family.

Welcome to the mSB Team Jill! I can't wait to get know you better! Here's a little Congratulations card to welcome you to the team:

For my card, I used the "happy" hexagon stamp and flower from the Hive of Life stamp set to create some fun back ground paper as a card base. To create my green stamped element, I used the film strip and the ornate photo corner from the Snapshot stamp set. It turned out so cute!

I stitched and adhered everything down and then stamped my sentiment from the Mention It! stamp set on a little tag. You can see in the close up below, I added some Glossy Accents to the entire cream tag and then added some clear micro beads over top of the entire thing. I love the look of the final little tag!

supplies: stamps, myStampBOX (Hive of Life, Snapshot, Mention It!); cardstock, Bazzill; patterned paper, BasicGrey; ink, Stampin' Up!, Copic, Martha Stewart; die cut tags, Spellbinder's; micro beads, Martha Stewart; purple pearls, Queen & Co.; flowers, Prima; other, Glossy Accents, thread, ribbon.

Unfortunately, my blog is the LAST on the blog hop today! Now you need to return to the myStampBOX blog and leave a comment telling us what your favourite welcoming creation was that you liked the best! Don't forget to leave a comment below for your chance to win a stamp set of your very own! Good luck!

Copics, Carrots and Cardstock!

So I wanted to make Easter fun so I grabbed a cute carrot stamp, Staz-On ink and my Copic airbrush and decorated some simple orange wrapping paper I had.

I wanted to make a fun and VERY easy card for my son when he woke up too so I basically designed a VERY simple bunny card design on my Klic N'Kut software and cut it mostly out of Core'dinations cardstock. I airbrushed and inked it up to make a fun bunny card for him.

Super fast but cute... at least 4 year old cute!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!

Don't forget to check out my blog tomorrow at 10am EST! myStampBOX is having a fun BLOG HOP to introduce our new Design Team members and you could WIN a fabulous stamp set for yourself! See you at the HOP baby!
