Hop Along with Power Poppy

I hope you have enjoyed our three days of Power Poppy July release creations.  Now join me and the rest of the Bloom Brigade for one fun journey to see some more creations for this month's digital release.  Happy hopping everyone!

I truly had some fun with our fabulous digital stamp set, Countryside Bouquet.

I began by taking my image into Photoshop and I tucked a piece of black and white checker patterned behind my bouquet.  I carefully removed all of the white space to reveal all of the open spaces between the stems and blooms to allow the pattern to show.  Then I played with the opacity and toned it down to a very subtle back ground.

Once I printed my image on my laser printer, I began my colouring my back ground using the shades of Copic Toner Gray.  I darkened the center and made it lightened as you got closer to the patterns edges.  This made my bouquet pop!

One final step was to colour, cut and shape my poppies.  I chose just the poppies to paper piece to make just one level of dimension appear.  I glued the shaped pieces on using a 3D glue to allow them to hold their curves.

I hope you enjoy your blog hopping today.  All of our amazing digital stamp sets are on sale NOW in the Power Poppy Store!  Make sure you go and grab them so you play along with all of our challenges!

Have a gander at what the rest of the Bloom Brigaders have done with these amazing digital release images…

Introducing… Geraniums!

Howdy all!  It’s Day Two of the Power Poppy reveal for July 2014!  We’re so happy you could join us today.

Once again, we’re introducing a new digital stamp for this month.  Check out…. Geraniums

For today’s reveal, I chose to keep my card design simple.  I took the stunning “Geranium” digi stamp into my photo editing software, shrunk it down a bit, duplicated it a few times and created a wreath of blooms to surround my sentiment.  This is WHY I love digital stamps… so many possibilities!

Once I printed my creation, I coloured it using Copic Markers with two shades of purple and a splash of pink.

Now… come and see what my fellow Bloom Brigaders have created with this fine digital stamp…
