CP ~ Wooden Heart Love

Happy Sunday!  Today I'm sharing another fun creation featuring products from the "Celebrate Spring" release from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I have to tell you, I think is my favorite card from this release that I have made so far!  I've had a BLAST with creating some cool backgrounds with the "stem stamps" from the new "Fresh Picked Floral" stamp set. 

I began creating my wooden background by grabbing my 3 brown CP inks; Over Coffee, Icing on the Cake and Sand Castle.  I used all 3 inks and all 3 stems and stamped them in a random pattern all across my cardstock.  I then used the Sand Castle ink and swiped it across the stamped lines to add a blend of color plus I used a Copic E11 marker and added random warm brown stripes throughout the panel.

Next I inked up a piece of cardstock with Coral Cabana ink and then I used the "Coming Up Roses Background" stamp and added Samba ink to it and stamped it on the Coral Cabana piece.  Then I die cut the whole thing with a "Nested Stitched Hearts Die".

Then I stamped my floral elements from the "Fresh Picked Floral" stamp set in Icing on the Cake ink and die cut them all out.  I stamped a sentiment using the same dark brown ink and die cut it with the "Scallops & Dots Die" plus I inked up a Hot Tub banner piece.

I added a few of the minty sequins from the new "Helsinki Sequins" for a finishing pop of color!
