Things with Wings

 

Good morning and welcome to another fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

This week, I'm your hostess and my challenge for you this week is:

THINGS WITH WINGS!

Yes, your challenge is to create with things with wings!  That could mean... bugs, butterflies, fairies or even planes!  Be creative.

I chose to use the cute fairies from the "Fairy Folk" stamp collection and the mushrooms from the "My Gnomies" stamp set for my slimline card today.

I first stamped my images using Peach Party ink.  This colour makes a wonderful ink for no-line colouring!

 

I started my card by laying down my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps inks as a base.  I used Summer Sunshine for the gap in the grass.Then I used my green shades for all the grassy areas; Charming Chartreuse, Mossy Meadow and Fresh Fields. 

Then I finished by colouring in everything in Copic Markers.

So search through your stamp stash and see what images have wings and get creating!

 

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like. These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and products will earn you double entries! Catherine Pooler & CAS-ual Fridays Collab!

 

Hello and happy Friday!  I'm Allison Cope and we're here to celebrate two amazing stamp companies!  Today we're showcasing Catherine Pooler Designs and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!

In honour of our amazing sponsors, we have come and combined the two companies products together on fun projects.  I have made three cards to share with you today.

Who doesn't love a cuppa something special to share with someone celebrating their special day?!?!  I used the CP "Plaid Background" stamp in Grape Crush to ink up behind the fun "Birthday Die" from CFS.  I added some stamped and stencilled confetti as well using the "Jacks Stencil"(CFS) and the "Punctuated Party" (CP) stamp set. My ink combination is: Grape Crush, Juniper Mist and All That Jazz.

Who doesn't love a rainbow of happy wishes? I stamped the large greeting from the "Happy Birthday" (CFS) stamp set in yummy rainbow inks.  Then I added all the fun confetti images from the "WooHoo" (CP) stamp set.  My ink selection includes: Tiara, Tiki Torch, Party Dress, Pixie Dust, It's a Boy, Garden Party and Bellini.

For my final card I wanted to include some of the fun cupcakes from the "I Eat Cake" (CP) stamp set.  So I created my cupcake tier and then softly sponged my back ground using the fun "Jacks Stencil" (CFS) using Suede Shoes, Fiesta Blue, Flirty Fuchsia, Party Dress, Tiara and Sand Castle.  And who can forget the hilarious sentiment from the "Happy Birthday" (CFS) stamp set?  Too fun right!?!

A Harvest Howdy!

                                      

TGIF everyone!  I hope you've had a crafty week!

I'm here today to share a fun card I sent one of my PenPals this month.  It features this beautiful Fall floral scape on it from the "Fortunes of Fall" stamp set by Power Poppy.

 

 

I used the beautiful "Lattice Frame Die" from Catherine Pooler Designs as my frame for the flowers.

 

Here is the card opened up.  The sentiment strip actually holds the card closed with a magnet.

Candy-licious Canvo Creation!

 Happy Thursday!  Today I thought I'd show you my Canvo.  It's all ready for October and all it entails!

The Club Canvo subscription includes the "October" and "Sweet Shop" stamp sets plus the "Weekly Nine Stencil".  All of these products are ready for purchase in the Catherine Pooler Designs shop for you to purchase separately.  The Club Canvo subscription is great because you get all 3 of these items at a small discount.

I always begin with an introductory page for the month.  This month's theme for the Club Canvo was sweets!  It has the most adorable gumball machine stamp in the "Sweet Shop" stamp set.  So I grabbed a rainbow of inks and kept it pretty simple...

 Next, I typically add some kind of Habit or Tracker page.  

Did you know the gumball machine was specifically designed for habit tracking?  Yup... it has 7 gumballs inside - perfect for weekly tracking!

To begin, October has only 4 days for it's first week, so I grabbed the "Weekly Four Stencil" to create the base panels for my weekly spread. I just love the bright orange on this week's layout!

I wanted to display all the fun candy images in the main stamp set so for my second week of October, I decided to hang them all in each daily panel.  So fun right?!?!?
 

I hope I've inspired you to have some inky fun in your bullet journals!

A Wooded Walk

 Happy Wednesday!

This is my week to create and share a sketch over at Splitcoast.  You can check out this week's sketch right here: SC820.

I found the sweetest patterned papers from Craft Consortium called "Little Fawn and Friends" and I knew I wanted to use it this week fro my card.  So I grabbed the "Meadow" deer stamp from Purple Onion Designs and away I went!

A Kraftin' Kimmie Holiday Release Hop

 

Today we are celebrating all the wonderful new holiday things in our September Release that are NOW AVAILABLE in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!

 

All THREE of our new stamp sets along with two new stencils, our stunning new hybrid ink colour, Precious Pink and sweet new Christmas Dots were released yesterday and we're excited to share everything with you in a fabulous blog hop!

I chose to showcase the adorable "Santa's Ride" stamp set today on a slimline card!  I stamped it as if the train was descending from a great height.  And of course, it's jam packed with toys, gifts, elves and reindeer!

 

Here's a reveal of everything we have released...

First up we have this sweet Christmas set by artist Neda Sadreddin and we're so excited about it!! It's called... O HOLY NIGHT!

Next up we have the most amazing scene building stamp set from artist Sabrina van Vloten called... SANTA'S RIDE!

And our last stamp set is another fabulous new one from artist, Neda called... A CRACKIN' HOLIDAY!

Available now is our stunning new Krafty Kolours hybrid ink colour in the large ink pad, the mini cube and ink refill called... PRECIOUS PINK!!

We have two new stencils that coordinate perfectly with our lovely new stamp sets and they are... TWINKLE LITTLE STARS and HOLIDAY LIGHTS!

And lastly we have the perfect finishing touch for your festive creations with our new Krafty Dots called... CHRISTMAS DOTS!

Sliding by with a Winter Hi!

I'm here again today to share a new card for the Challenge #3 for the Three Room Studio's Saturday Challenge.

The challenge host this week is the super talented Kevin Bray.  Kevin is challenging us to create a MASCULINE CARD for this week.

For my card I chose to use the adorable "Welcome Winter".  This amazing stamp set contains not only 4 fun animals; a bear, a moose, a rabbit and a few chipmunks but it also contains some awesome trees and great sentiments.

A Frosty Favorite!

  

Happy Saturday!  Christmas cards are my all time favorite cards to make.  I was playing around with all my new Jolly Holiday collection goodies from Catherine Pooler and I made a card that I just loved!

I first decided on the ink colors I was going to use; Skylight, Sage, Spruce and Seafoam inks.  I knew they would look like frosty tree pieces!

I used the "Jolly Trees" stamp set and I stamped all different kinds of combinations of those four ink colors together and then cut them out using the coordinating dies.  

I backed my card base with an embossed piece of cardstock using the delicate "Dotted Zig Zag Cover Plate" die.  I also added the "Peace & Joy Word Die" with some Star Dust Stickles.

This card turned out to be my very favorite card of the bunch.  I hope it inspires you to grab a unique color palette for your new holiday card!

Kraftin' Kimmie: A Crackin' Holiday

 

It's our FINAL day of peeks and everything you've seen us share this week will be in the online shop this afternoon! 

 

We are closing out the festivities with another very fabulous set from artist Neda Sadreddin called....

A CRACKIN' HOLIDAY!

How fun are these nutcrackers? You may have caught a glimpse of these guys over the weekend as this set was part of one of our virtual retreat classes with Krafty Girl, Allison (that's me!)! We're so excited to share this fabulous set with you! Three nutty characters, some accessory stamps and some hilarious sentiments to design some perfect holiday creations!

 

For my first card, I started by using the adorable "Holiday Lights Stencil".  This stencil is brilliant!!!  It has a light string shape that you can put different shaped lights on to plus much, much more.  I used some fun ink colours too; Yummy Yellow, Lovely Lagoon, Charming Chartreuse, Fresh Fields and Ruby Red ink.

 

For my second card, I stamped all 3 of the nut images included in this fun stamp set all over my back ground.  Then I coloured all the space between with shades of blue Copic Markers.  Then I laid our "Twinkle Little Star Stencil" down and added a light sponging of white acrylic paint for the stars.

 

This stamp set is SO much fun!!!  Great for those masculine holiday cards for sure!!!

 

Of course, today is also Challenge Day and as always, during release week the theme is Anything Goes! So create a card, scrapbook page, altered item.....with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp! Use any sketch, design, colour scheme you want!

Shake Your Booty!

Happy Friday all!  I'm back with another fun and easy Christmas card today featuring stamps, dies and inks from Catherine Pooler Designs.

The brand new Jolly Holiday collection is in the CP shop now and it's already for you to shop!

I knew as soon as I saw the adorable Elf shoes from the "Nice List" stamp set that I wanted to make a fun shaker card.  This stamp set has a coordinating die set so it made it super easy to cut out those booty shapes.  I colored in my boots with Lime Rickey and our two NEW ink colors, Deck the Halls, a glorious deep holiday green and Cranberry Fizz, a beautiful dark red.

I die cut out the fun "Peace & Joy Word Die" and added some fun patterned papers from the "Holiday Whimsy 6x6 Paper Pad".  For my jiggly parts, I used the "Mistletoe Sequins".

Kraftin' Kimmie: Santa's Ride

Welcome back! Did you SEE all the AMAZING new krafty goodness we previewed yesterday? Are you ready to add some more holiday fun to our Christmas release? I hope you answered YES because we are BACK with Day TWO of our September Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we're sharing a sweet new stamp set by artist Sabrina van Vloten! It's called.... SANTA'S RIDE!

 

What would a holiday release be without the man in red himself?! This adorable new set features Santa and he's on his way to deliver some Christmas joy....by TRAIN! You've got the jolliest elf in the engine and there are two different sized train cars plus a bunch of fabulous people and items you can interchange to go in the carts! You can make your choo choo as long as you want!! This set is so packed full of images and holiday fun!

 

To begin, I used the fun polka dots (or round lights) from the "Holiday Lights Stencil" and lightly applied our new "Precious Pink" ink to my card base.  Then I stamped the engine and three train cars and customized them with critters, toys and presents.
