Art Freckles - Week 6
For challenge #6 this week at Art Freckles we had to use:
1. Die Cuts from a personal Die Cutting Machine (eg. Sizzix, Cuttlebug, Quickutz...) - my snowflakes are a Sizzix die cut item.
2. Eyelets, minimum of 8 - I used ten!
3. Metal Bookplates - from Making Memories
4. Epoxy Letters - unsure who made the ones I used!
5. Patterned Papers prior to 2008 from any of the following companies: All My Memories, Basic Grey, Rusty Pickle, Gin-X - I used a few BG pieces!
This was the page that I created using those products:
Call of the Wild
Some close ups....
I used my 10 eyelets to lace the jute string on the bottom of my picture.

Spring is in the Air!
Howdy everyone! Here's my "Springy" card for you today!
I created this card using some simple journaling stamps from the my Stamp BOX set, "Just Add Notes". I inked up the two different sized lines to create the bricked look across the card.
Then I used some Cuttlebug embossing strips to create the embossed squiggles!
I stamped a simple sentiment on the scalloped circle, backed it with a larger scalloped oval, popped it up with some foam adhesive and volia! A very simple card!
Cracked Glass & Sunflowers
I have been playing along at the new Gina K. Designs site called StampTV.
One of the first challenges posted was a colour challenge. For the colour challenge for this week, we had to use Always Artichoke, Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie.
For I stamped and coloured my flower and leaf images on the white cardstock. I used a variety of Copics and some water colour pencils to get my colouring. Then I layered on several layers of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE). Once the UTEE layers were cool and hardened, I cracked the UTEE to get the fracture lines over the image. I added some distress inks and this was my end result. For more details on this process, see this tutorial in the Splitcoast Stamper archive.
supplies: cardstock; Bazzill, Prism, misc.: ribbon; Making Memories: gems; Kaiser Craft: stamps, patterned paper: Gina K. Designs: inks; Copic, Ranger, Bazzinks: metallic rubs: Kraf-T; pen: Sharpie; tools: Nestabilities, Tim Holtz paper piercer; other: UTEE.

Random Chaos [48]
I have been playing with all my NEW My Mind's Eye papers lately and created this page for this week's Random Chaos challenge [48].
This week's challenge was to create a page using the colours green, orange and yellow.
I had originally planned to put another large photo on the page but it just didn't quite fit the way I wanted so, I created this flap to put it under along with my journaling. A quick and easy way to hide a photo that doesn't quite go! LOL!
In order to keep the flap closed, I designed my title as a closure. I stamped my title using the "Lots of Dots" alphabets by my Stamp BOX, hand cut them out all together in one slip and then added some foam dots at the bottom of each letter to allow for the flap to tuck underneath.
Perfect closure and cheap to do!
supplies: stamps: my Stamp BOX (Lots of Dots - alphabets); cardstock: Bazzill, Prism; patterned papers, die cuts: My Mind's Eye; ribbon: Crate Paper; flowers: Prima; letters, brads, pin: Making Memories; ink: ColorBox; pen: Sharpie; buttons: Autumn Leaves; other: thread.
A Sneaky Peeky!
Here's a sneak peek of my page for the Random Chaos blog this week!
Gotta love die cuts baby!
Don't forget about my February blog candy! You still have time to play along for your chance to win. Check out the details here.

A Page in Time - February Reveal [part 2]
One of the other three parts to the February kit from A Page in Time Scrapbooking Kits is from Little Yellow Bicycle. It's parts of their "Love Letters" line of papers. This kit includes gorgeous patterned papers, one die cut paper and some cool matching stickers too!
Here's the 2 page layout I created using this kit...
Smitten and Bitten
supplies: all supplies are from the kit except the ink.
These pages were about my son's Valentine's gift of a card (behind the photo) and a hand decorated cookie that he made at Library time last week. The card was so cute! But the cookie arrived with a BITE mark in it. I guess he thought he should taste test it first! LOL! He got to eat the cookie in the end!
Here's the page I made from my scraps from the kit...
Promise
supplies: all supplies are from the kit except: stamps from Sandylion, inks from Ranger, cardstock, thread, ticket from My Creative Mess.
I hope you have a had a good time looking at all my APIT creations for February!
Don't forget about my February blog candy! Details can be found here. Good luck!
A Page in Time - February Reveal [part 1]
One kit for A Page in Time Scrapbooking Kits is the amazing and beautiful SEI "Alpine Frost" papers and letters. These papers have some embossed and shimmery details to them.
Here is my two page layout I created using everything from the kit.
Cabin Fever
supplies: all supplies are from the APIT kit except the vellum, inks, thread and the punch tools from Fiskars.
The page is about my son's mischief while having to deal with being cooped up in the house with winter being so cold.
All the pine boughs and snowflakes were all hand cut! Took me probably about 1.5 hours of just cutting!!! It was fun and cute result though.
Here's a card I used the kit scraps to create! I found the heart images embedded in the design of one of the patterned papers....
supplies: all supplies from the APIT kit except: cardstock, twine, buttons, thread and the tools used: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Scor-Pal, Fiskars edge punch.
Stay tuned tomorrow when I reveal what I created with the Little Yellow Bicycle "Love Letters" kit from A Apage in Time Scrapbooking Kits!
