February Reveal: Mon Ame Memories

For this month at Mon Ame Memories we are highlighting a kit packed with Jenni Bowlin goodness!

The Design Team will be hosting challenges starting Friday, Jan 30th (TONIGHT) - Feb 1st.
These challenges will range from easy to difficult.
Some will be timed and some will be due Sunday by midnight.
We will do a draw at the end of the crop for:

Mon Ame Memories Design Team Call

Starting January 17th thru February 27th, 2009 we will be accepting Design Team Submissions. We are looking at bringing on at least 5 new designers to our team and 1 DT leader

You may apply for the Mon Ame Design Team by submitting the following to: Designteam@monamememories.com *International applicants are welcomed.

Submit a total of 3 items:
- 1 newly created Layout
- 1 newly created Layout or Card featuring use of embellishments
- 1 Layout featuring “you”- using papers, embellishments & journaling show us who you are (does not have to be new)

All submissions will be posted in the gallery under design team submissions for general viewing.

Send a Scrapbook/artist resume & biography, as well as name, email address & full contact information with your submissions to Designteam@monamememories.com

If you have a blog, please include that link as well.

Please include the answers to the following questions:
-Why do you think you would make a great Design Team member?

-What is your best attribute or skill?

-What is the attribute or skill that is a challenge to you?

-Do you feel that you can give inspiration, encouragement & techniques in the forum on a daily basis?

*During this DT call your presence in the Forum is crucial, since the flow of a board is greatly determined by the activity and connection of the DT members to our registered board members. We do not like to set a number of post in the forums but just know if chatting in the forums and communication is not one of your strong points then this call may not be for you. Communication with forum members and other DT members is highly and strongly encouraged during this term.

If chosen as a Mon Ame Memories Design Team member you will be
Responsible for the following:

1. You will be required to create Layouts, Cards, Altered items, Mini Albums anything that showcases the Monthly Kits.

2. All layouts, cards and projects must include a materials list.

3. All DT members are required to be a registered member of our forum and post as much as possible each day. Starting threads and answering thread are a must as well as leaving praise in the gallery for our members and your fellow DT.

4. Design Team members are responsible for helping create & hosting forum challenges for our crops which we will be doing every month, providing new tips/techniques.

5. DT members are to promote http://www.monamememories.com where ever and whenever allowed without breaking rules on other sites. A Mon Ame DT blinkie will be developed and required in your signatures on our forum and again anywhere without breaking rules on other sites. Updating and showcasing items on your blog.

6. Communication with management is essential to a great team & Fantastic site. You will have access to the secure Design Team forum.

7. This is a 6 month commitment; DT duties will start up on March 1st 2009. You will be receiving your first kit on or around March 1, 2009. You will have immediate access to the DT forum as of March 1st so that you can get to know the other members and learn all about your responsibilities.

8. Design Team members will receive a 25% discount in the store during their contracted time and free shipping if shipped with their monthly kit/review items.

12 Days of Christmas Cards Contest

Starting Monday Dec. 1st, Mon Ame Memories will be having a contest. As part of the DT, we have all been hard at work coming up with some very fun challenges for everyone. Each day there will be a new card challenge. They won't be difficult ones I promise you. Card challenges will be posted and you will have a certain amount of time to complete them. You will have at least 24 hrs to complete them. And it is only one card so you should be able to complete it with no problem.

After the 12 days we will draw a winner for a prize from Mon Ame Memories.

For every card you complete you will get a ticket. You must complete at least 4 card challenges to be able to win the grand prize. But of course, the more you complete the more tickets you get in the hat. If you complete all 12 of the card challenges, you will get 5 bonus tickets. The winner will be chosen by random draw.

This is a great way to get some last minute Christmas cards mailed out. And because the contest ends on the 12th of December, you will still have plenty of time to get them out in the mail in time for Christmas delivery.

Want to be the Next Guest Designer?

Mon Ame Memories'
Tour De France Guest Designer Contest
Are you ready to be our Guest Designer for the month of November?

We are looking for someone who is creative, can work with a great monthly kit, can host a challenge, motivate and inspire our community and be able to be an active member of our board.

Welcome to the Tour De France hosted by the Mon Ame Memories Design Team. We will be hosting challenges for you to complete each week. The challenges MUST be completed by the time limit of that particular stage. But we don't want you to get discouraged if you don't make it one week. Perhaps you could have gotten a flat tire or leg cramps on that particular stage. That is okay. We still want you to finish the stage. You will be penalized points for late entries. The total point value will be 1/4 the full amount of points.

The projects will be judged by the design team and will be given a point value. The Top 5 ladies from each week will be assigned a jersey.

#1: Yellow Jersey
#2: Green Jersey
#3: White Jersey
#4: Rainbow Jersey
#5: Red Polka Dot Jersey

The rest of the list will be put into the Peloton. Do not get discouraged if you are put into the Peloton. There will be other ways for you to gain some points throughout the week. Each week we will be having a Time Trial. The Time Trial will be a timed challenge that will be posted on Wednesday. There will be specific rules on what you are to create. The first person to create the challenge will receive bonus points for the next round. Each week we will have a different challenge. They will be difficult and thought-provoking challenges. Each week we can have a different Yellow Jersey rider. You just have to work hard and stay on with the challenges. It is really anyone's race.

During the race you will be asked to be "active" in the forums. We want to see how you are going to handle being a Guest Designer. We want someone who will be a part of our team for November. We don't want a person to just get the kit, create with it, post a challenge and never show up. Being active during the contest will also get you some bonus points. There also might be some RAK's along the way as well.

To sign up for this contest you have to be a member of Mon Ame Memories. Register in the forum and introduce yourself in the "Introductions Forum". You will have to accumulate at least 25 "active" posts before the start of the race which will be Sept 28th at 11:59pm PST. By active we mean actual posts. (not smiley's and/or acronyms) But I am sure you will understand what active means if you are applying for this contest. We will also ask you to post two examples of your work. This has no bearing on who wins. We just want to have you share some of your work with us and also with the community.

Below is a breakdown of the contest week by week.

Sept. 15-28
Must be registered for the forum by 11:59pm PST on the 28th with a minimum of 25 "active" posts, an introduction and posted 2 layouts in the gallery

Week #2: Challenge Week
Sept 29-Oct 4
Challenge must be completed by 11:59 PST on Oct 4th
Design Team will judge the entries on Oct 5th
List will be posted Oct 6th w/new challenge

Week #3: Challenge Week
Oct 6-11
Challenge must be completed by 11:59 PST on Oct 11th
Design Team will judge the entries on Oct 12th
List will be posted Oct 13th w/new challenge

Week #4: Challenge Week
Oct 13-18
Challenge must be completed by 11:59 PST on Oct 18th
Design Team will judge the entries on Oct 19th
Top 5 will be posted Oct 20th

Week #5: Top 5 Competition
Oct 20-25
Challenge must be completed by 11:59 PST on the 25th
Design Team will judge entries on 26th

Winner will be posted on the 27th and November kit will be mailed to them. Winner will need to create at least 3 projects with the kit (at least 2 of these should be layouts). There is always enough left over to create more projects, of course, and we would love to see what else you can create with it.

Winner will need to post a challenge during the month of November for our members. Winner will also be asked to be and "active" part of the team for the month of November.

Mon Ame Memories.... Mini Reveal!

Since I am busy packing up entire house I have only had a chance to play with my first Mon Ame Memories DT kit for a day or so.

I wanted to show you my first page....
