Tea Rose

I began by making a card base using the Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock and an inner mat using the "Tangy Taffy" colour of the Candy Pink Cardstock pack.  Then I created a back ground from the Flourishes Classic Kraft Cardstock.  I took some Memento "Desert Sand" ink and stamped some leaves and butterflies all over the kraft.

Next I cut a diagonal piece of Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock and stamped my tea rose and rose hip images from the Old Tea Rose stamp set using Memento "Desert Sand" ink again.  I began to colour...

For my image I used the following Copic Collections:
I used my Copic airbrush with my Copic Sketch markers with the brush tips in to create the "splatter" around my rose.  I love using this technique!  I even stamped a few of the lovely sentiments using the Memento "Desert Sand" ink in the back ground.

And here's a little peek at the inside of my card.  I tried to match some of the details of the front of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to comment for your chance to WIN the entire May release!

What's not to love about this fabulous new set?  I just adore the two classy ladies and could resist using one on this card.

Hey Girlfriend!
I started off my card with a Flourishes Classic Black cardstock base and also a "Red Devil" mini mat from the Poppy Cardstock Collection.  Then I layered a few pieces of patterned paper from the April 123 Create Kit - "Stationary Noted".

April's 123 Create Kit
"Stationary Noted"

Then I began to create my focal image.  First I cut two Tailor-made Classic Keyhole die cut shapes from Flourishes Classic White Cardstock, also die cutting an oval inside one of them.  Then I traced the inside of the oval and positioned my super classy girl image from the new Glamour Girls stamp set, stamping it using Memento "Black Tuxedo" ink.
Then I coloured her using these Copic Collections:

I stamped and fuzzy cut her dress using some fun polka dot paper from the April 123 Create Kit - "Stationary Noted".  To create her black veil, I took a piece of white tulle ribbon I had, inked it up with Staz-On ink and then cut the same shape of her veil in the image and then created a tail to tuck under the flower in her hair.  I secured it to the back of the image using tape.

For the front sentiment, I die cut the tag from the Tailor-made Classic Keyhole die cut shapes in vellum and heat bossed the sentiment with black embossing powder.

I finished off the inside of my card using papers from the April 123 Create Kit - "Stationary Noted" again and then stamped my message, from the Glamour Girls stamp set in Memento "Black Tuxedo" ink.

I hope you've enjoyed my little card creation today!  Keep on hopping along to check out the rest of both our Design Team creations!  REMEMBER... by playing along with us this week, you could win the ENTIRE May release!  That's FOUR gorgeous stamps sets!!!  Have fun!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

To celebrate today, I'm hanging out at Let's Capture Our Memories!  We're having a fun mini crop and blog hop today.

I was responsible for making an example for Challenge #6: PINspired!  Gisele had picked a lovely photo of some gorgeous Spring blooms for us to use as our project PINspiration!

And this is what I created using her photo inspiration...
I was inspired by the gorgeous daffodils!  That beautiful bouquet is the new "Spring Blossoms" stamp set from Flourishes!  The sentiment is from the "Spring Bouquet" stamp set.

Here is the tag that you pull at the top of the card.  It reveals a simple message from one of Flourishes' newest stamp sets, "Garden Gate" ...

And when the tag pulls up, it reveals the hidden message behind the central image.  This card style is called a surprise pop-up card and they are super fun to make and even more fun to give to someone special!  This one if for my Mom for Mother's Day!

The sentiment under the focal image from the "Hydrangea" stamp set.  I coloured my bouquet using some Copic markers.

I hope you'll take a moment and join us at LCOM for some fun!  If you go to the NSD Challenge #1: Bring a Friend! thread, sign up there and you could win a super fun RAK from me!  Tell 'em "Ally sent me!".  Hope to see you there!

Sunflowers and Spring Gardens

Howdy stamp lovers!  I've been busy having fun with some of my Flourishes stamps this week.

First I created a card for Mother's Day for my mother-in-law.  I sure hope she likes it!  I was inspired by this week's Splitcoast sketch, SC434.
For my card I used the Flourishes "Sunflowers" stamp set.  I coloured my image using a variety of fun Copic colours. I chose to use the new BasicGrey "Hipster" patterned papers.  I think they go perfectly with the sunflower!

I was inspired by another Splitcoast challenge this week.  Every Sunday a new Featured Stamper is revealed.  The goal of the challenge is search through that designer's gallery and be inspired by one of their own cards.  This week's featured card maker is Pattie G.!  Here is the card I CASEd; Celebrate Your Day!  And here is my final card creation...
I used the brand new "Garden Gate" stamp also from Flourishes.  It was so fun to colour!  I paired it up with one of Flourishes Tailor-Made Dies, "Classic Keyhole" made by Spellbinders and some gorgeous Authentique papers, their "Remembrance" collection.  The greeting for my card is from the "Garden Dreams" stamp set.

Simply having a great stamping day!  Hope you are too!
