-------------***-------------

I had the honour of designing for Melanie last December with her beautiful Hand-in-Hand stamp set. Thanks Mel! So today, I am going to share one more project with this sweet set....

The Journey Begins....

To create this card, I first designed the onesie shape in my Klic N'Kut design studio and then flipped the onesie image to produce a fold-able card. I cut both a card base and also a piece of patterned paper to cover the front. I stitched all around the outside and down the shoulders of the image. I inked up those stitch lines with a light dabbing of Ranger "Antique Linen" ink just to define them a little better.

Then I cut and embossed a circle of white cardstock, stamped my two beautiful hands in Memento "Desert Sand" colour and coloured them using Copic markers. I inked the image circle with Ranger ink again. I also cut a blue cardstock scalloped to mat my image.

I cut a label shape and embossed the edges, then adding my stamped title in Memento "Desert Sand" again. I die cut a mini tag and pieced a hole in the neckline of the onesie and attached it through the hole using some beige string. A few mini buttons and I adhered everything down to reveal a cute little card fit for a new Mom!

Here are a few close ups of the card detail...

supplies: cardstock, Prism; patterned paper, We R Memory Keepers; stamp, Gina K. Designs; tag die, QuicKutz; circle and label die cuts, Spellbinder's; buttons, BasicGrey; ink, Memento, Ranger, Copic; other, thread, ribbon.

I hope you are enjoying the blog hop to bring in 2010! Make sure you check out everyone's creations for your chance to win some fun prizes from Melanie!

I'm also going to give away some BLOG CANDY to one lucky commenter! Make sure you leave me some way to get a hold of you (like a blog link, an email address OR a PM with your comment username, full name & email at weScrap.com). I will pick one lucky person's name on Jan. 2nd at 10pm MST and the winner must claim their prize in 10 days or another winner will be chosen. Good luck!
