This week was the final week with our current Creative Crew for Creative Prompts 4U! This week's challenge (Prompt #51) was to chose any one of the previous 50 challenges and complete that challenge. So this week I chose to go back to do prompt #46, Just One Word. The challenge for that week was a combination challenge:

Ally - one word title
Sue - use only patterned papers
Ro - use hand sewing
Regiane - use at least 1 stamp

A Great BIG SURPRISE! And... Roses Too!

I got the surprise of a lifetime this week... I was asked to be a part of the brand new challenge team for Scrapbooker's Paradise blog, Scrapbooker's Paradise Ponderings. It's one of my favourite stores in our area and I've had the honour of shopping in 2 of their 4 locations in Alberta. They have the most AMAZING selection of scrapbooking supplies!

So I get to join the following fellow scrapbookers as part of the Challenge Team:

Our first official challenge as a team this week was to create something with the colours of the Scrapbooker's Paradise logo... burgundy, yellow/gold and green! So this is what I came up with...

In Your Heart

supplies: patterned papers, Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye; cardstock, Bazzill, Gina K. Designs; stamps, Flourishes, Hero Arts; inks, Memento, Copic, Stampin' Up!; edge punch, Martha Stewart; die cut circle, scalloped circle and long tag, Spellbinder's; ribbon, Tim Holtz; brads, My Mind's Eye; other, thread.

My patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye "Jolly Holly" collection and Crate Paper "Restoration". The beautiful heart shapes roses and the card sentiment are from the new Flourishes set "Hearts and Flowers". I matted my lovely bouquet on a scalloped die from Spellbinder's, Classic Scalloped Large Circle Nestability and then used a plain circle die on top using the Standard Circle Nestabilities. I used some delicious Tim Holtz "Lavish Trimmings" ribbon to attach my long tag. Those pretty shiny green brads are from My Mind's Eye, Market Place Lost & Found Love Brads.

I used my yummy Copic Sketch markers to colour in my stamped image using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink... my favourite ink to use with my Copics. I used a combination of R32 Peach, R35 Coral, R37 Carmine and also a little of R46 Strong Red and R59 Cardinal.
