12 Weeks of Holiday Cards - Week 6

Welcome to Week 6 of my 12 Weeks of Holiday Cards!

Each Wednesday until Christmas, I will be sharing with you a fun and simple holiday card fit for a quick assembly.  I will share tips, tricks and techniques along the way.  So join me...

Use Holiday Patterned Papers

There are so many fabulous holiday patterned papers out there to create with!  Lots of companies sell smaller books of 6x6 or 8x8 pads of paper collections - it's much easier to find papers that are matching in colour when they come from the same paper line.

Here are a couple of simple cards using some fun patterned papers...

For the card above, I used some traditional red polka dots and green stripes and threw in some some white and soft yellow.  Your cards can be a simple as some strips of fun patterned papers and then a simple greeting!

Use patterned papers to create direction and movement.  See how the stripes of the paper pull your eye into the focal image?  Yup... all done using simple patterned paper!

I hope you've enjoyed this week's 12 Weeks of Holiday Cards!  Don't forget to check my blog out on Friday when the Flourishes Design Team reveal this month's release challenge!  Remember... you could win some NEW stamps just for playing along!  See you then!
