I have some super EXCITING news today! I have been asked to join the Flourishes "Friends of Flourishes" Design Team and I couldn't be more thrilled! Each week, the Friends of Flourishes Design Team share and showcase the Timeless Tuesday challenge on the Flourishesblog.
I'd also like to take a moment to congratulate another fellow talented crafter, Denise Marzec. Denise has also joined the Friends of Flourishes Design Team as a newbie with me this week. Congrats Denise! I look forward to creating with you and the rest of the team!
I'd also like to tell you all I received the most wonderful phone call from the lovely Jan Marie Caruso, owner of Flourishes. I got the great honour of talking with her and thanking her personally for the opportunity to design with the rest of the amazing Flourishes design team. It was so great to put her beautiful voice to the name. Thank you Jan Marie for such a warm and thoughtful welcome!
So let's check out my first official challenge for Timeless Tuesday...
Today's Timeless Tuesday challenge comes from the lovely, Silke. Her challenge this week is called "Favourites!" - FTTC175. Create a card using your favourite Spellbinders die, grab your favourite Flourishes stamp set and cool embellishments and create away. It's a simple as that!
I coloured my image using a variety of Copic Sketch markers including colours from the...
I created another frame for the Keyhole die from brown cardstock by
tracing the die with a pencil and hand cutting it out. I also added an
addition of the Spellbinders' "Floral Ovals" die cut for that
touch of flourish. Here's a close up detail of the layered Spellbinder die cut pieces...
It's been a rainy one here in the Rocky Mountains today so I enjoyed the cool, dull day in the comforts of my scraproom this morning. Here's what I was creating...
Pink Gerbera Celebration
I've been thinking about this card for a few days. I knew I want to use pink daisies from the Flourishes "Gerbera Daisies" collection and I knew I wanted it to appear wedding-y so this was the end result. I found some beautiful cardstock from SEI called "White Elegance" in my stash that I knew was perfect for the feel of this card. I hope the special people that receive this card like it!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Supplies: stamps: Flourishes (Fanciful Flourishes, Gerbera Daisies) cardstock: Flourishes, Bazzill die cut shapes: Spellbinders patterned papers: SEI inks: Memento, Copic edge punch: EK Success accessories: thread.
Howdy all! It's Monday and time to share a layout creation over on the Flourishesblog today. Come and check out my "Stamps & Scraps" article over at the Flourishesblog.
I have a super TUTORIAL on how to make your own tissue tape (aka Washi tape!)
You & Me Forever
Here are a few close ups of my layout...
I stamped a few simple roses and rose bush leaves from the "I Love Roses"
stamp set. I first brushed a wash of white paint over top of them and
then coloured with in with Ranger's new Distress
Ink markers. To add that finishing touch, I added a fine
layer of clear embossing powder to my roses and some Ranger crackle
accents solution to my leaves.
For my tissue back ground, I stamped a variety of ferns again right over
top of the tissue paper. I also embossed some white ferns to add a pop
of more white.
For my title, I stamped all over a simple manila tag, incorporating my
title "You & Me Forever" from the "Love
Sweet Love" stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure you stop on over at the Flourishes blog to find out how to make your own washi tape. Super easy and FUN!
