Welcome to the
Just Add Sweets Blog Hop with
myStamp BOX today!
If you have just happened upon my blog today, you may want to head to the start of the blog hop today, the
myStamp BOX blog.
Here is our
Just Add Sweets Blog Hop schedule just in case you missed anyone:
The design team's challenge was to take the theme of our blog hop and apply the colours of
white, pink and
orange to their creations.
For participating in the blog hop by leaving a comment on each and every participating
myStamp BOX designer's blog, you have a chance to win a set of brand new stamps sets being released this month! So leave a comment on
all the blog posts and then return to the
mSB blog and tell us what you favourite project was along the way for a chance to win! Have fun!
Here are my creations using our theme and our totally cool colour scheme...
In sticking (
no pun intended.. *wink*) to our
sweets theme, I decided to create a few cards that had a sweet component to them...
CANDY! Yum!
For my first card I wanted to use one of February's new stamp releases...
Programmed Robots. So cute... I knew this little fella would be the perfect guy to hold a sweet treat for me!
I'm a Sucker for u!For this month, we have been sponsored by
P K Glitz. They provided the whole team with some fabulous glitters and embossing powders to use. I used their
Powder Keg bronze patina embossing powder on my little robot fella.
I also used another new stamp release...
Mini Alpha (
small box) to create my greeting! I so LOVE that alphabet set!!! This set is a
MUST for your stamping needs!
I had shopping in the candy section of my location variety store for some fun Valentine's treats to use on my cards and found these Gummy Ring candies. As soon as I saw them, I knew I would use my
Funky Circles (
small box) to create a fun patterned paper to display my fun candy treats. I took my orange ink and created a random ring pattern on my light orange cardstock.
Thanks! When you untie the bow and remove your candy treat, this is the greeting that appears...
I used a super cool Kaleidacolor "
Desert Heat" ink pad by Tsukineko to get the colour change from orange to red on my greeting from the
Mention It! stamp set.
Because I was absolutely loving the colour scheme of the blog hop, I created one more fun card.
Nuts About You!I first created the fun hexagonal patterned paper using the large open hexagon stamp from the
Hive of Life stamp set and the little mini hex-shaped nut shape from the
Programmed Robots stamp set. I also used the mini-nut shaped stamp to pattern the large pink heart behind the heat embossed robot.
Here's what the inside of my card looks like....
I again used my new favourite
Mini Alpha stamp set to create my sentiment! LOVE that set...
*sigh*.
Check out the
myStampBOX store to see all the
newly released stamp sets this month. You can't just have just one!
