StampNation ~ Winter Neighbourhoods

Today over at StampNation, we have a brand new weekend challenge.

This week's challenge is create a card with a winter neighbourhood theme.

So I chose to create a card using the new "Winter on Main Street" stamp and die set.  Firstly, I stamped out a variety of buildings and other elements and then I colored them up using Copic Markers.

I used Copic Markers to make my red mat.  I also used some Tranquil ink to stamp on some mini snowflakes in my card's scene.

The one final touch was a sentiment.  So I die cut one of the "Tickets & Tape Dies" to stamp on the greeting from the "Winter on Main Street" stamp set.

Come and join us over on StampNation for all the fun!  Have a great weekend!

Scrap 'n Stamp ~ Designers Choice Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Scrap 'N Stamp Blog Hop!  The hop is going to feature all kinds of fun inspiration and even some new (and on SALE) items from Prism Studio.

For my card today, I used the gorgeous new "Canada Jay + Cedar Waxwing" bird dies and the beautiful new "Stitched Rectangles" dies from Prism Studio.

I cut my bird die cuts from Prism Studio "Solar White Ultra Smooth" cardstock and then inked them up using Distress Oxides.  I used Tea Dye, Rusty Hinge, Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo, Pumice Stone and Black Soot for my Cedar Waxwing bird.

To create by background I splattered Weathered Wood, Speckled Egg and Iced Spruce Distress Oxide inks across a piece of water color paper.  I used the same 3 inks to create a piece of water color paper to die cut the evergreen boughs from as well.

To create the frame, I used 2 of the "Stitched Rectangle" dies to cut a frame from the new Prism Studio light blue glitter cardstock.

The simple greeting (and evergreen dies) are from the Hero Arts "Winter Foliage Stamp XL" set.  I embossed the greeting in white embossing powder and then added more Versamark ink, to add a layer of sparkly blue embossing powder to the top to bring in the same glitter color as the frame.

We also have a Prism Studio sale on!  Save 25% this week only!

Catherine Pooler & Picket Fence ~ Instagram Hop

Today I'm part of a collaboration Instagram hop with Catherine Pooler and Picket Fence Studio.

We hopping to share lots of amazing creations with both manufacturers.

Here is the card I created using lots of great Catherine Pooler products and Picket Fence's cool Paper Pouncers..

I started my card by ink blending my background with the Picket Fence Paper Pouncers using Cove Blue and Lilac ink. I took some water and gold paint and splattered it across the panel.

Next I cut and adhered the new "Eternal Flame Cover Plate Die" from white cardstock.

Next I die cut the scalloped frame and inside dotted rectangle from the "Scallops& Dots Dies".  I inked the scalloped layer up with Dress Blues ink.

Next I stamped and die cut all of these elements from the new "Warm & Bright" stamp and die set: lantern (Dress Blues), boughs (Lilac & Serene), holly leaves (Whipped Honey) and the candle (Lilac).  I used a yellow Paper Pouncer to ink up the center of the lanterns globe with Whipped Honey ink for a yellow glow.

I layered the scalloped and dotted layers, punching a hole through the center of the lantern globe.  I used a pencil to mark the hole onto my inked panel and also punched a hole through those layers.  I backed the hole with some vellum.

I also stamped a greeting from the "Winter on Main Street" stamp set in the new Gold ink.

I completed my Chibitronics circuit using Conductive Fabric Tape and the new Animating White Fade LED Light Stickers so my lantern lights up and slowly fades in and out like a candle might.

Make sure you check out the INSTAGRAM HOP HERE for a chance to win a prize from both participating companies!

Good luck!
