Last Minute Gift Plus My Power Poppy 2017 Favs!

Hey all!  There are only a few more days until Christmas and today is my son’s last day of school before his holidays begin so I was up late last night making a last minute gift for his bus driver, Danielle.

Since Power Poppy has SO many amazing stamp sets, I decided to feature some of my favourites on some of the cards I made her.

Here’s a little peek video where I share all 6 cards that I made…

My cards feature the stamp sets; Tea in the Garden, Nice Things to Say, Winter Wonderland, Under Glass, Succulent Singles and also Peony Muse.

I also wanted to share some of my favourite Power Poppy creations with you today from the past year.  Click on the name of the card to take you to it's original blog post.

Light Up the Night!

Happy Wednesday all!  It’s been a busy creative week… which means I’ve had lots of fun!!

Today is the reveal of my second fun tutorial over on Splitcoaststampers.  Today I share a tutorial on how to use Chibitronic lights and how to incorporate them into your next card project.  They really are a fun supply to use and create with.  Come check it out HERE.

I also created this very simple no-line colouring card for this week’s Splitcoast card sketch too…
Aren’t those skating animals adorable??  You can see the sketch and gallery link right here.  Join us this week… can’t wait to see what you make!

Stayed tuned Friday when the Bloom Brigaders from Power Poppy share some of their favourite projects of 2017!  Join me Friday right here on the blog.

Santa's Reindeer Wreath

Happy Friday everyone! This week has been a week of experimentation as far as colouring is concerned. I’ve been trying to incorporate mediums into my cards that I haven’t used in awhile.

Today’s card features a few different stamp sets from Power Poppy. You all know how I love my little stamp images and like to use them in unique ways… well, today is no different! I used the little evergreen bough from the “Merry Littles” stamp set to create my own wreath plus a few other added accessories from the same stamp collection.

I created it using two different pigment inks… yup, pigment inks, from Catherine Pooler Designs to colour in not only my wreath but my Santa and deer image from the “Under Glass: Christmas Traditions” stamp set too.

I just love how they turned out!

To make my wreath all I did was:
  1. Using just the single pine bough from the “Merry Littles” stamp set, I stamped in a circle using the Green Tea and Eucalyptus inks.
  2. Then I applied some water to soften the layer.
  3. I went back again and added Green Tea and Eucalyptus ink with only the very tip of the bough stamp.
  4. I added some fun Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo Drops as berries.

Recent Creations

Happy Thursday everyone!  I hope you're having a great week so far.

I've been having fun just simply creating this past week.  I coloured up a few holiday cards using some new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps I just received...

I loved creating all the Copic coloured scenes behind them both!

I also ordered my own Christmas gift (aka from my hubby) of some of the new Purple Onion Designs stamps. So as soon as I got them all stamped, labeled and organized in stamp pockets I had to create at least one stamp with them before I put them on the self!

I made this card interactive coloured with ZIG Clean Real Brush Markers.  The door is meant to open PLUS the front panel flips up too!

Under the front panel is this...

And what December in my family doesn't come with another birthday card or four!  This one was for my Mom's birthday yesterday.  I used a SINGLE digital image from "From the Heart" and modified it to create a few different bunny looks: some bunnies are wider, some bunnies are smaller and some bunnies only have one ear. I coloured them up with my Copics plus put some of their details in with Primacolor Pencils and a white gel pen.

The inside simply said...

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you get some creative time soon!
