LCTS: Sketch #39 and a Challenge!

Hello everyone!  It's time for another fabulous card sketch over at Let's Capture These Sketches!  It was my turn to share a sketch this week so here it is... with a challenge too!

 Sketch #39
CHALLENGE:   Use some "BLING" on your card this week!

For my card today, I'm showcasing the NEWLY released Flourishes stamp set images from the stamp set, "Stitched for You".  This set, I know, is going to be one of my favourites!!!

Quilted with Love
For my card, I used the fabulous Authentique "Gathering" patterned papers along with some beautiful orange cardstock form the Flourishes Color Made Easy collection, Tiger Lily.  The pretty little tag that my image is on, is a Spellbinder's die made especially for Flourishes called the "Classic Bookplate" die.

Make sure you check out what the Flourishes Design Team created with this fabulous new stamp set...

Timeless Tuesday: All Natural!

Howdy everyone!  It's RELEASE WEEK at Flourishes this week so make sure you check out all the AMAZING new stamps arriving in the Flourishes store beginning today!

For this week's fabulous Timeless Tuesday Challenge, our lovely hostess, Denise, has challenged us to create a card or project using the following photo inspiration...

 ALL NATURAL
FTTC195

For my card this week, I chose to stick with some natural materials... such as Flourishes ivory jute string, linen printed papers, kraft paper and even burlap printed papers!

Just Because

I actually began by stamping my gorgeous sentiment, "Just Because" from this week's new release stamp set by the same name, "Inside & Out: Just Because"!

This set includes the large title sentiment and then multiple smaller accompanying sentiments such as the "I Love You" statement on my card (on the small swatch of red gingham at the bottom).

To create my focal heart, I cut my top heart from a linen patterned paper using Spellbinder's Classic Heart die and then a frame for the heart using kraft paper and Spellbinder's Classic Scalloped Heart die set.  I inked them both up using Ranger's Tea Dye ink. I hand stitched the edges to add that little bit of whimsey.  I cut my doily shape out of Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock.

Timeless Tuesday: Silhouettes

Yippee! Another Tuesday is upon us! Time for another Timeless Tuesday Challenge for Flourishes!

This week's challenge is brought to you by the talented Maki Jones!  Maki is asking us this week to use a silhouette image on our cards or projects (FTTC194).

For my cards this week I chose to feature the beautiful Flourishes stamp set, Sweet Days of Summer.  This stamp set is packed full of beautiful silhouette images to use.

Just Because

For my first card creation, I used some dark burgundy ink and stamped my little gardening girl onto a Spellbinder circle cut from Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.  I left the die on and then used a light dusty pink ink to ink the back ground.  I created my background for my image and then stamped my "Just
Because" greeting from the Garden Picks stamp collection.

Speak of Your Gratitude
For my second card, I also used Flourishes Classic White Cardstock, burgundy red ink and an image form the Sweet Days of Summer.  The sentiment on this card is from the Country Charm Labels stamp set along with the ornate tag stamp.

We'd love for you to join us this week and create a fun card or project highlighting a silhouetted image of some kind.  Remember, you don't have to use Flourishes stamps to join in but we do love to see what you create with them!
