Sweet November Stamps ~ Wonderful Winter Sneak Peek!

Happy Saturday! Today the design team from Sweet November Stamps are sharing all kinds of sneak peeks of the new clear stamp release, "Wonderful Winter".

This new release will be in the shop next Saturday December 7th!

I'm sharing a sweet image from the up and coming "Downhill Dashers" stamp set...

This stamp set is jammed packed full of snowy fun!  It contains 6 cute snowy scenes and a great sentiment.

Make sure to head on over to the Sweet November Stamps Instagram page to check out all the amazing sneaks from our design team.

Today I'm also sharing a card I made for our holiday clear stamps release from October.  This little lady is one of the SN Gals, her name is Candie.

To set her scene, I stamped her image first.  Then I stamped the window from the "Simple Room Christmas Add-On" stamp set.  I wanted her to have some furry friends so I stamped the kitty and mousey images from the "You Look Familiar" stamp set.

To create the carpet texture, I used the nubby stamp from the "Simple Room Christmas Add-On" stamp set.

For my final touch, I cut the edge of my front panel with my Tonic Deckle Edge Trimmer and added a sweet sentiment from the "Cold Hands, Warm Heart" stamp set.

This card was fun to create!

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Eat all the Cake

Happy Friday all!  Today I'm sharing a birthday card featuring Sweet November Stamps

I'm always in need of birthday cards so I decided to gear this one to a winter themed birthday so I found myself some pretty, but retired, patterned papers by Catherine Pooler Designs to use.

For episode #242, the four parameters that the wheel gave us were:

  • Project: Gate Fold Card (I made a tucked gate fold card)
  • Colors: Produce Aisle Colors (purple eggplants, peach peaches, white eggs)
  • Element: Fence (I added a fence behind my elf)
  • Random: Crumpled Paper (I crumpled a piece of paper, added blue ink and added it to the sky of my circular scene)

 Here's my card...

I used one of the elves from the "Sugar and Spice" stamp sets from Sweet November Stamps.

I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink to stamp her and then I colored her in using Copic Markers with some of the details added back in with some Polychromos Pencils.

Don't forget to join us on Friday at 6:10pm CST for another fun episode of Craft Roulette.  PLUS, Sweet November Stamps is one of this month's Spin Sponsors so you have a chance to WIN a gift certificate to the SNS shop!

Good luck and have a great weekend!

Chibitronics ~ Light Up Winter Scene & Video Tutorial

Happy Wednesday!   Today I'm sharing my latest Chibitronics creation that I've made this week.

Today's card features the cool Animating White Blink LED Light Stickers and the adorable "Fa la la" stamp set from Magengo Designs.

I began by stamping out my little critters and coloring them in.  I fussy cut them all out.  I wanted to make it easier to create my background.

Next I stamped the 3 lamp posts on my card front panel. I created masks for each one and applied them to the image.  Next I drew on some lines for the wall.  I then masked off the wall and inked up my sky with Distress Oxide Pine Needles and Chipped Sapphire inks.  Then I masked off everything but the bottom of the wall and applied a brick stencil and used my Copic Air Brush to color it in.  I finished off the rest of the wall and the ground with my air brush.  I applied some snowflakes and snowy areas to the background image.

With every stamp of the lamp post, I also stamped the same image, in the same place on my inner card panel to create my circuit panel.

Next it was on the circuit.

First I applied my Battery Holder to the lower right hand corner of my circuit building surface.  This will used as a switch to activate the lights.

Next I mapped out the location of all my light stickers and the pathways of the negative (blue lines) and positive (red lines) of my circuit using pen.

Next I laid down the Conductive Fabric Tape for the negative side of my circuit.  I began on the bottom side of the self adhesive Battery Holder and the location of the Battery.

Then I laid down the positive side of the circuit tape.  I began on the inside of the lid of the Battery Holder of the top circuit and I adhered the Battery to the Slide Switch circuit.  This allows the lid of the Battery Holder to be pressed to close the circuit and allow the lights to come on - otherwise known as the switch.

Lastly, to complete the circuit, I added my LED Light Stickers.  I used 3 Animating White Blink LED Light Stickers to the circuit.

I adhered the double sided self-adhering "C" shaped foam inside the Battery Holder and popped in a 3V Coin Battery.

I also added some 3D foam strips all around the edge of the circuit panel so the card feels flat.

Let's give it test... and REMEMBER... the switch, when pressed and held, allows the 3 lamp posts to light up and blink.

So much fun to make!

So if you want to see how this card was made, please visit the Chibitronic's YouTube channel for the full tutorial...

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful week!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Scrappy & Sulky's 1st Christmas

Happy Saturday all!  Today we have a brand new mini digital release from Sweet November Stamps!  This release features some adorable digi critter images for Christmas!

I chose to use the adorable "Salty Sticky Sweet" kitty image for my card.  The minute I saw him, I imaged him colored like "Grumpy Cat"!

To set the scene, I used the ornaments from the "Happy Tree Ornament: Icicle" image.  I removed the face off of the image and just left the ornaments blank.

Don't you LOVE the sentiment!?!?  I think it's funny!!

Everything on the image was colored using Copic Markers.  I used a little sliver of patterned paper from Catherine Pooler Designs along the side.

Have a great weekend!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Oh What Fun!

Happy Wednesday! Today's card is a card that I created for my PenPal over at Sweet November Stamps for November.

Today's card features one of the sweet little skaters from the "Skating By" stamp set.  Being a figure skater as a kid, this stamp set is one of my favorite Winter SNS stamp sets.

The barn and the horizon line with the little evergreens comes from the "Horizon Lines: Alpine" stamp set.

I also created this card for a previous Craft Roulette episode too!

For episode #239, the four parameters that the wheel gave us were:

  • Project: Interactive Card (I made my skater slide across the card)
  • Colors: Picnic Colors (red & green berries, blue napkins, brown picnic basket)
  • Element: Farm (I added a barn in my scene)
  • Random: Paper Strips (I used paper strips to create my moving element to reveal my sentiment & move the skater)

Here is the card with the pull tab out, revealing the sentiment and moving the skater across the ice.

Everything on today's card is colored using Copic Markers.

Don't forget to join us on Friday at 6:10pm CST for another fun episode of Craft Roulette.  PLUS, Sweet November Stampsis one of this month's Spin Sponsors so you have a chance to WIN a gift certificate to the SNS shop!

Good luck and have a great rest of your week!

Sweet November Stamps & Craft Roulette ~ Dear Santa, I Really Did Try!

Happy Sunday!  Sweet November Stamps has the most adorable mini release for you!  This mini collection is called "No Peeking".  We have 3 brand new digis featuring some peeking deer, peeking elves and over course, a peeking Santa Claus!

I'm sharing a card featuring the new "Peeking Santa". This digi features Santa peeking around a corner, eating some cookies with his sack full of presents.

I also used today's card for my entry for Craft Roulette's Episode #241.

The four parameters that the wheel gave us this past episode were:

  • Project: Z-Fold Card (I made a Z-fold card)
  • Colors: Scarecrow Colors (I went with lots of colors since a scarecrow could be dressed in many colors)
  • Element: Bake (Santa's eating baked cookies)
  • Random: Crinkle Inkle (I used a piece of paper sack, crumpled it, straightened it & inked in brown - added it just under the sentiment tag)

Here's a little close up...

For the sentiment, I used a greeting from the "Naughty List" stamp set with some Rockin' Red ink from Catherine Pooler.

I that's it for today!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Sweet November Stamps ~ No Peeking!

Happy Saturday all!  Today Sweet November Stamps has the most adorable mini release for you!  This mini collection is called "No Peeking".  We have 3 brand new digis featuring some peeking deer, peeking elves and over course, a peeking Santa Claus!

I'm sharing a card featuring the new "Peeking Deer". This digi features 5 cute deer peeking around a corner.

I decided to place them peeking out of a stable.  I created that by using the gate from the "Reindeer Games: Scene Builder" digi set and deleting the fence lines coming off them.  I just added the "Dasher" and "Dancer" names to the hanging signs on the gates.

To finish it off, I added a string of twinkly white lights using a White Gel Pen to the ceiling of the stable.

It was such a fun card to create!

Make sure you check out all the new "No Peeking" images in the Digital Stamps part of the SNS Shop!

Have a great weekend!

Sweet November Stamps ~ Late Halloween Celebrations!

Happy Wednesday!  Today's card features one of the Halloween clear stamp sets released this past Fall from  Sweet November Stamps.

This little cutie is from the "Sorcha's Spell Room" clear stamp set.

I made this simple card for one of my October PenPals for Sweet November and she just received this week - it had to travel across the pond from Canada to Europe.

I started my stamping my image and masking her off.  Then I blended some green Distress Oxide inks from lightest to darkest across my die cut panel.  I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and then Rustic Wilderness.

Then I took my Heffy Doodle "Dotty Lotty" stencil and some white and green inks and stencilled a variety of different sized circles across the background.

I then peeled off my mask and colored in my little witch with Copic Markers.  I added some sparkle detailing using a White Gel Pen.

To finish off the card, I added some fun Halloween plaid paper from the "Feline Spooky" patterned paper pack from Catherine Pooler Designs.  So super cute!

I stamped a greeting from the "Lil Grimmy - Scary & Sweet" clear stamp set in black ink and I also stamped another witchy image from the "Lucinda's Lair" clear stamp set with CP Tiki Torch ink n my envelope.

We are having a "Christmas/Holiday" themed December PenPal if you are interested in joining us.  You only have to create ONE card but it must contain a Sweet November Stamps image on it.  It's a simple as that!  Click here to find out more about the PenPal swap.

Have a great weekend all!

Today's card was made for a Craft Roulette episode a few weeks back.   It got sent to my StampNation PenPal for October hence why I'm late posting this.  I didn't want to spoil the surprise!

The parameters were as follows:

  • Colors: Trick-or-treat Colors (I went with pinks, browns and oranges)
  • Element: Boutique (she appears like someone who might have just shopped in a boutique - her trendy purse!)
  • Random: Jewelry (she's wearing a necklace)

Here's a little close up...

The images I used for my card include "SN Gal Olive" and the new "Background Builder: City Sidewalks" clear stamp sets.

Sweet November Stamps ~ Christmas Comes But Once a Year

Happy Tuesday!  I have a few more Christmas creations from Sweet November Stamps to share.

Today's card features the adorable new "Christmas Minis" stamp set from the newest clear stamp release.

I started by die cutting the Waffle Flower "Postage Collage Dies".  I then applied the "Postage Collage Stencil" to the die cut.  Then I stamped each of the cuties and a sentiment into the voids of die.

I masked off each of the characters.  Then I used my Copic Airbrush to add some mint and soft blue ink across the pieces of the die.  I stamped on a variety of cute snowflakes within the spaces.

I also add a splatter of gold paint.

I removed the masks and colored in all there Christmas minis using Copic Markers.

I mounted the die piece up on foam with a bit of fun red and white polka dotted patterned paper.

A fun and simple card!
