Happy Tuesday everyone!!! It's time for another Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday challenge!
This week's challenge is All About Summer ~ FTTC176 and comes from the talented Makiko. We want to see a card/project featuring something summery. For my card today, I thought the two children jumping in the water was an appropriate image to convey summertime. It's one of my favourite memories as a child.
Make a Splash
For my creation this week, I created a shaker card. I first stamped my image from the Sweet Days of Summer stamp collection in Memento in Rich Cocoa on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock. I inked the back ground using Ranger Distress inks; Shabby Shudders & Peacock Feathers. I die cut an offset frame and then backed it with a piece of acetate. I added a ring of foam adhesive and then dumped in a combination of blue embossing powder and fine clear glitter to make my fake water. I adhered the delicate ribbon, Sage Green Satin Pleats, to back of the circle before adhering it to the card front.
Here are some of my embellishment details...
I used one of the pretty tags from the Birthday Pennants stamp collection. I added a few colourful touches with Ranger Distress markers.
Just below my sentiment I wanted to add another touch of glitter so I laid down a 1/8 inch wide Scor Tape and then adhered some fine clear glitter.
