It's time for another sketch... 'cause I just can't seem to get enough sketches this week! So Flourishes posted a sketch for this week's Timeless Tuesday challenge:
I took the sketch and just flipped it so the image and sentiment were on the opposite side but that's what a sketch is all about right? Here's my version of this week' sketch challenge...
supplies: stamps, Flourishes; cardstock, Gina K. Designs; Bazzill Smoothies; patterned paper, Crate Paper; inks, Versamark, Copic, Ranger, Memento; die cutting machine, Klic N'Kut; die cut shapes, Spellbinders; embossing powder, Stampendous!; other, thread.
I wanted to show you the anatomy of this card. You can click to enlarge the image below. For the white scalloped card base, I designed it on my Klic N'Kut cut so it folded like a card on one side. I also cut the concentric circles on my Klic N'Kut so they layered together properly.
I stamped the back ground apple image from Flourishes in Ranger green "Shabby Shudders" ink and then distress and stitched the edges.
My apple image was stamped on Gina K. Designs "Pure Luxury" cardstock with Memento ink. I coloured the image using my Copic markers and then used my Versamark ink and added my clear embossing powder to make the colours POP! To add one more piece of dimension, I flipped my embossed image over and used a stylus and embossed the apple, blossoms and leaves so they would appear more rounded and dimensional.
Hope you'll join in on the Flourishes blog this week!
