Have a Tweet Birthday!

Happy Friday everyone.  I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend.

My Mom has been taking care of me for the past week or so since my hubby works away from home and I’m now home from surgery.  I asked her to look through all my fun Power Poppy stamps and pick an image and a theme for me to make a card for you all today.  So she chose the sweet little birdie in the heart wreath from the Folk Heart stamp set.

I coloured it in using my Polychromos Pencils and then Copic air brushed it with my Catherine Pooler Designs “Turkish Delight” stencil.  I even misted it with a little bit of Tsukineko’s Gold Shimmer Mist for some sparkle.

Now come and check out what my fellow Bloomies have created to share with you today…

And before you go, I have some Easter weekend giveaways happening.  One on my Instagram account and the other on my YouTube channel.  Click the images below for further details of how you can WIN some Power Poppy stamps of your very own!

Power Poppy: Thanks Friend!

Hello and TGIF!  It’s been a week since my hysterectomy and I’m slowly getting stronger and stronger.  I over did it the other day and BOY… did I pay for it!  Not good people.

I did take a few minutes yesterday to colour and create this VERY simple card with you today though.  It’s always good to get back to crafting!

I just adore the “Vibrant Thanks” stamp set so I chose to feature it today.

I had fun colouring up my images using my Polychromos Pencils.

Take a moment and check out my fellow Bloom Brigader creations being shared today…

More "All That Jazz" Love!

https://shop.catherinepooler.com/collections/new?aff=49

Howdy again!  I was up late last night being inspired to get inky so I pulled out all of my fun Catherine Pooler Designs goodies to play with again.

First I created this fun card using the “Bloomin’ Bouquet”, “Leaf Motifs” and “Music Notes Background” stamp sets.  My beautiful greeting is from the previously released “Simply Stated” stamp set.
I used Premium White Cardstock along with the following CP inks: Sweet Sixteen, Sugared Lavender, Aquatini, Lime Rickey and Black Jack ink  And I could resist layered in some fun white die cut leaves from the ornate “Fallen Leaves Dies”.

For my second card I used the fun Congratulations stamp from the “Simply Stated” stamp set, masked it off and then stamped a variety of blooms and ferns from the new “Grateful Heart” stamp set.  After masking I used some All That Jazz ink to blend into the back ground.

I used the very useful “Geo Trio Stencil” to create the multiple polka dot back ground along with the striped back ground using Lime Rickey ink. I used the fun mini dotted line from the “Simply Stated” stamp set over top of the stripes.
I coloured in my blooms and ferns using Polychromos Pencils and added some white gel pen detail to the lettering.

Catherine Pooler: All That Jazz Blog Hop

Howdy all!  Happy Sunday one and all! Welcome to Day 1 of the Catherine Pooler DesignsAll That Jazz” Blog Hop! If you have happened upon the blog hop today, please start at Catherine’s first blog post here.

Today I’m sharing a few cards that I made with some of the brand goodies being released on Tuesday March 20th.  If you are a StampNation member, you will be able to shop on Monday March 19th... woohoo!

So come and check of some of this new release with me today.

I made the first two cards thinking that I could use part of one to make the other.  It works out brilliantly that way!

I began making my first card by stamping the arrays of different blooms from the “Grateful Heart” stamp set in Black Jack ink on CP’s Premium White Cardstock. I created some masks for each spray using Stamping Mask Paper by Inkadinkado. Then I took my All That Jazz ink and lightly sponged it around my blooms.

I had a ball coloring in my flowers using Copic Markers and then I added some stamped mini flowers in All That Jazz and Peppermint Scrub ink.

Then I die cut the new “Wonderful Die” word right across the whole panel and saved it for my second card.  I added a white embossed “You Are” also from the “Grateful Heart” stamp set using Versamark ink.  I die cut Vellum using the “Tags, Etc. Die” and added it to stamped and sponged All That Jazz back ground.

And here’s my second card using the die cut Wonderful from the first panel.
This card also features the new “Music Notes Background” stamp. I also used the word “Friend” from the “Everyday Mod” stamp set.

For my final card I just had to feature some kind of rainbow so I inked up a piece of CP’s Premium White Cardstock using Shea Butter, Polished, Rose Petals, Sugared Lavender, Stone Blue and Seafoam ink and die cut the Wonderful using the “Wonderful Die”.  I pulled the die cut from its back ground and set it aside.
Next I took a piece of white cardstock and die cut the word again. I pulled it from its back ground and then stamped a variety of cool greenery from the “Grateful Heart” stamp set using Black Jack ink.  I then took the same 6 inks from the wonderful die and added tiny same colored flowers in and among the flowers. I then added the rainbow die cut back in.  The added "You" stamp is from the "Bloomin' Bouquet" stamp set.

Now…. take a look at these amazing creations today made some amazingly talented designers...

Lucky Little Leprechaun

St. Patrick’s Day is only 1 week from today so I made sure that I got my little green treats sent off to my family this week.  I thought I’d share the process of my Copic colouring with you of my little leprechaun.  I just think he’s so adorable!

Grab a drink and join me at my desk today…

Here’s a quick look at my image and the Copic marker listing…

And here’s the finished card once again.
I used the Concord & 9th "Lucky" stamps and dies to create the sentiment.

Thanks for joining me today.

Masked Birthday Wishes

TGIF everyone!  After close to a month of almost no creating, I’m back in the saddle for another week.  I will probably be off next week as I have to have a second surgery for this year.  Good bye uterus… lol!  Trust me… it’s a good thing.

Now, let’s create!

Today I’m creating with a few Power Poppy clear stamps; Sweet Memories (Sweet Peas), Vibrant Thanks (Zinnias), Countryside Bouquet Deluxe (Cosmos) and Party Time (sentiment).

L (above left): I die cut some letters to spell “HAPPY” using some stamping masking paper.
R (above right): I placed them on my die cut piece using a ruler to ensure they were straight.  I pressed down the masks using a bone folder for good contact.

L: I stamped all of my images using Memento “Tuxedo Black” ink over top of the masked letters.
R: I traced the masks using a Copic Multiliner 0.25 before removing them.

L:  Then I removed the masks.
R: I applied a layer of BV20.  I also used a Copic Blender to help soften the edges of the BV20.

L: I added some BV23, blending it out with BV20.
R: I added some darker purple BV25 and blended it out with BV23.

L: I added a slight line of BV29 to the bottom and left sides of all of my letters.  Then I added G20 to all of the greenery as my base color.
R: I added some G40 and G46 to some of the leaves and bases of the blooms.  I blended them with the G40.

L: I colored the Zinnia and Cosmo blooms using YR21, then YR12.  Blending them again with YR21.
R: I colored the Sweet Peas with R11 then R12 and then blended them with the R11 again.

L: To brighten my greenery, I added some touches of YG01 and then a bit more of G43 to darken some areas.
R: I stamped just the “BIRTHDAY!” part of the stamp from the “Party Time” stamp set on a piece of white cardstock.  Then I trimmed it into a thin strip.

L: I added the greeting strip to the card front using foam adhesive.
R: I cut a piece of stripped white and black diagonally striped patterned paper to put on my card front and then colored in a few of the strips to match the colors in my card.

And here are all the Copic Markers I used again for my card…

I just love the end result!  What about you?
