'Bossin' 101

Happy last day of May everyone!

Today over on the myStamp BOX blog, the mSB Team has gone embossin' WiLd!   For my creation today I chose to use the mSB "Abundant Blooms", "Funky Circles" and "Repeat After Me" stamp sets...

 Here is my creation...

Circles and Blooms

supplies:  stamps, myStamp BOX;  inks, Ranger, Stampin' Up!, Memento;  flowers, Petaloo;  clear embossing powder, Stampendous!;  washi tape, Bella Blvd.;  pearls, Kaisercraft;  cardstock, Flourishes, Bazzill;  edge punch, Fiskars;  other, large orange brad.

Here's a close up my card front...
Here are the steps to create my image:
  1. Stamp circles using orange and pink inks.
  2. Stamp flowers using Versamark ink. Cover with clear embossing powder & heat emboss.
  3. Blend different ink colours to reveal the embossed flower images.
  4. Decorate with washi tape and stamp with stitches image.
  5. Add pearls and flowers.
Voila!  It's a simple as that! Let's see you try it!

Come on out and check out what my fellow mSB team members have created using embossing... HERE!

Today I wanted to share the card I created for the Flourishes "Bring Back Beautiful" challenge.  May's BBB challenge was to create using a Mother Nature inspired creation... flowers or fruit!

This week I decided to incorporate Jen's newest sketch from the Deconstructed Sketch: Sketch #53.

Here is my card creation for both challenges...

Tail-Waggin' Terrific!

TSG Challenges

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I'm sharing a card for the There She Goes challenge for this week.  This week's challenge is a sweet sketch!

Here is my card creation for this week's challenge...

Tail-Waggin' Terrific Day

supplies:  stamps, Inky Antics, myStamp BOX;  patterned papers, Simple Stories;   inks, Memento, Copics, Ranger;  die cut shapes, Spellbinders;  cardstock, Bazzill, Papertrey Ink;  other, Glossy Accents, thread, ribbons.

I sadly don't have any There She Goes stamps... yet!... so I used some Inky Antics critters instead.  I used multiple image layers to create a more 3D doggy effect :)

Here is the inside of my card...

Thanks for checking out my card creation today!  Have a great Sunday!

White Stuff Anyone?

I was in the mood to create something Christmas-ey... I know!  It's May but you have understand that we sometimes get snow every month of the year here some years.  We actually had snow 2 days ago!!!

So I thought I'd play along with the gang over at the weekly Christmas Card Challenges blog.  This week's challenge is a sketch... my FAV!

Here's a close up of this week's sketch for you...

And here is my creation using the sketch:

Snowflakes

Supplies:  stamps, myStamp BOX, Papertrey Ink;  inks, Ranger, Versamark;  embossing powder, Stampendous!, Hero Arts;  gems, Kaisercraft;  brad, My Mind's Eye;  patterned paper, BasicGrey;  die cut shapes, Spellbinders;  cardstock, Flourishes;  other, ribbon.

Here is a close up of my focal image...

I  created it by die cutting a circle out of white cardstock using my Spellbinder's Classic Circles.  I then stamped my script background and my snowflakes (and faux stitching - "Repeat After Me") from the myStamp BOX "Let It Snow!" stamp set using Versamark ink.  I heat embossed the flakes with a Kaleidoscope powder and then inked up the background to make the flakes POP!

Bring on the Cherry Mojo!

The other day I picked up a package of the BasicGrey "Konnichiwa" collection and knew that I had to find something fun to use it on right away.  So when I saw this week's Mojo Monday - Sketch 242 I knew it would be perfect!

Here is the card I created using the Mojo Monday sketch...

Miss You
supplies:  stamps, myStamp BOX;  patterned papers, BasicGrey;  inks, Tsukineko, Ranger, Stampin' Up!, Copic;  pearls, Kaisercraft;  cardstock, Papertrey Ink, Bazzill;  corner rounder, EK Success;  edge punch, Fiskars;  other, thread, Stickles, pen.

Here is a close up of the stamped image I used.  It's the large cherry blossom image from the myStamp BOX set, "Cherry Blossoms".  My sentiment is from the "Small Greetings" myStamp BOX stamp set.  I used the Kaleidacolor Raised Rainbow Dye Inkpad by Tsukineko called "Desert Heat" to get the shades of reds to oranges for my cherry blossom image.  Super cool ink!

Timeless Tuesday: Floral Delights!

This week's challenge for the Flourishes "Timeless Tuesday" was to use flowers!  Perfect for a Spring type card.

For my card I decided to create a gate fold card using the Flourishes "Magnolias" stamp set since I hadn't used this stamp set yet.

Magnolias

Here are a few close ups of the card opened up...
