Power Poppy: Pantone Color of 2018

I’m a big fan of the colour purple so I just adore the Pantone Color for 2018.  It’s Ultra Violet this year. Copic has posted a sort of challenge for their customers to use three specific colours so I’d thought I’d give it a whirl today!

Here is their January #CopicColors Challenge…

I used the gorgeous single rose bloom from the “My English Rose” stamp set.  I used the simple greeting from the “Nice Things To Say” stamp set.

Check out my quick video...

And here’s my final card…

I love how these three Copic colours work so well together!

Don’t forget to take advantage of the 6 for $6 for the “Va-Va-Valentine’s” digi package…

Now, check out what my fellow Bloomies have created to share with you today.

I had a blast making a fun card using one of the new “Va-Va-Valentine’s” digital pack release.  This digital bundle contains 6 different Valentine’s theme images and is specially priced at only $6.00 for a limited time only!  So come and grab your lovey-dovey bundle today.

For my first card I used the “Matching Socks” image.  I wanted to share with you my process so I made a quick video for you.

Grab a cuppa joe and meet me at my crafty desk…

Isn’t that cute!!!  Here’s another look at the card…

And here’s a slight side view so hopefully you can see the dimension of those fun heart socks…

Here is the list of the Copics I used in case you were interested.

I also couldn’t resist inking up another one of the 6 beauties in this Valentine’s Day bundle.  I coloured up the “Spring in My Step” image too.

I kept it nice and sunny and bright!

Please join me and my fellow Bloomies and Instant Gardners for a peek at some fun love inspired projects today:

Bees, Bears & Unicorns

Can I just tell ya… I’ve had the most creative days I’ve had in a long time this past few days.  I’m having a ball colouring and cutting!

First off, I want to share my card for my Splitcoaststampers Card Sketch for this week.  It’s my turn to create and share a sketch.  You can check out this week’s sketch HERE (SC681).

My cute little card features the “Bee Mine” digital stamp image from Mo Manning.  I just adore all of her drawings and to colour them just makes me happy!  I just had to layer over top of the cool hexagon die cut background too by Honey Bee Stamps.

I’ve also been trying to get some Valentine’s Day cards done for friends and family so I can actually mail them off on time this year.  Here are two more cards featuring the sweet “Kobi’s Hugs & Kisses” stamp and die set from Studio Katia.

Here he is in red…

And here he is in light brown…

Which bear do you like better?

And last of all, I saw a post about a girl from my birth town of Brantford, ON (where Wayne Gretzky grew up!) and her Mom was hoping that people would send her beautiful daughter Kaitlin some birthday cards.  To read more about Kaitlin’s story, click here.

So since her favourite colour is purple and she loves unicorns, I thought I’d make her a card.  This card features the “Magical Ponies” from the Your Next Stamp company.

If you too would like to make and send Kaitlin a birthday card.  Here is her mailing address:
Kaitlin Coghlin

If you’re interested in the colouring of my little unicorn, I’ve posted a video on all of that over on YouTube.  Just click the image below:

Thanks for joining me today!  I hope you too are getting crafty this week!

Crop Creations

It’s been awhile since I posted!  Yikes!  I’ve been down and out after gall bladder removal surgery last week.  Today is day 7 and I’m feeling pretty good today.  I kinda over did it on Friday cleaning the house and felt the results of that action on Sunday!  Oops!

I did take some time on the weekend to create some cards for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps crop challenges posted on their Facebook page from last weekend.

Here they are…

Challenge #5:  One Layer Card
I also made this one for the Seize the Birthday Challenge: One Layer.

Challenge #4: Use blue and brown.

Challenge #3: Use the provided Bingo card…

I used the Bingo line containing: Flowers/Pearls/Tags (I used the pearls as her earrings :) )

Challenge #2:  A sketch challenge…

Challenge #1:  Use a brand new stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  What did you do on the weekend?
