PTI: Blog Hop

Howdy all! In between packing boxes I just had this hankering to stamp! So I thought I would join you all tonight for one of my favourite monthly events, the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! To find out more about the blog hop, click here. To see what other people have created, click here to click on all the participant lists.

This month's hop is all abut using the colour YELLOW. One of my favourite colours and a great expression of summer coming!

We're moving on Friday to our new house so I thought I need an excuse to make cards to send to friends and family with our new mailing address. Perfect timing for a great challenge!

So here's the fun card I made using yellow as my main colour.....

We Are Moving!

I also made a matching envelope. See the above image.

Here's a close up of my card:

To colour my flower, I first created a mask for the center of the bloom. I then used my Copic air brush and coloured my petals.

The PTI stamps I used were:
Friends 'Til the End (small bloom and leaves)
Background Basics: Stars (on my tag)
Damask Designs (on my card base)

Other supplies: patterned papers: Scenic Route; sentiment stamp: myStamp BOX (Neighborhoods); ink: Stampin' Up!, Memento, Copic Sketch markers; tools: Spellbinder's Nestabilities; jute string: Stampin' Up!; pearls: Hero Arts; other: thread.

Hope you have a great night!

Woohoo! Published and Manufacturer Galleries!

I received an email a few days ago to say that Scrapbook News & Review was going to publish my "The Real Me" page for their June ezine! Woohoo!

I also received an email from Making Memories stating that my "Loving Life" page from Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine (Spring issue) was going up in their Customers Idea Gallery. It will become one of the voted on layouts in the gallery for June.

I also had my "Train" layout placed in the Graphic45 gallery too... right here.

It's so nice to be recognized by some of the amazing manufacturers that I love to work with!

This week's challenge for the Random Chaos blog was to use:
  • flowers
  • 2 tags
  • polka dots
My tags aren't as obvious as most of the girls since I used super mini tags. One is located in the upper flower cluster with a "XOXO" stamp on it and the other is located in the lower flower cluster with my SIL and son's name on it.

As part of assignments each month, we have to create a project using our scraps. Here's the cute little card I made for my son's little buddy who celebrated his birthday last week.

Happy Birthday Braydon

I created the little flag and the Happy Birthday label in my photo editing program using the Varsity font. Works perfectly with these papers! I used a Q-tip with the fuzzy ends cut off for the flag pole... pretty clever huh?

Hope you enjoyed your A Page in Time tour. If you'd like to purchase this kit, you better get it quick! It's going fast!

Happy scrapping!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hope you're all having a great day today! It's just Spencer and I hangin' out all day here. Todd's at work.
Spencer made me a pretty pink personalized book mark at school. It even has a cute little photo of him on it. Todd and Spencer got me a little compressor for my Copic airbrush system so I have endless "air". Gotta love my boys!

Hope you're having a great too!
